Just talking about the Badave enthusiasts, I guess.
A little bit of everything, really.
Streetcar.
No, definitely not, I don't know who thinks you need to rent a semi-truck, a catering crew, and twenty grip assistants just to film something...

oh.. so you're talking about adult films... 😁

but I guess I have you to keep me humble and rub it in my face 🙂

Kyle Watson8 said:you just aren't a fan of my Christian alter-ego

I don't really buy into those Christian alter-egos, they always feel like they're trying to sell me something

luckily it doesn't work on me since I'm about as cold as an Alaskan popsicle 😎

Kyle Watson8 said:you're complaining about me, yet Amanda Palmer3 wanted to perform an exorcism on you

I think Amanda Palmer3 was just testing my faith, besides, you probably would've been there too helping out to make sure I didn't fail

Kyle Watson8 said:nothing worth mentioning 😢

life is just so clinically depressing... isn't it? 😢

I guess they just see it as a way to mess with your head. 😕

Plus, I’ve always had a huge soft spot for Licking against The bricks (yeah, I went there, I couldn't help myself... 😁 ) and it's kind of a bummer that nobody put anything from that album up for nomination.

np - Czars : Little pink house 😍

honestly, I don't really care where I wake up, as long as I'm waking up in my own underwear. I hate it when I realize someone dressed me in someone else's clothes.*

code word; a friend's farewell party

👍

I mean, I guess you’re kind of pulling those jokes out of thin air, sort of like how Mirko Fodor does with his punchlines... 👍

I guess pride works the same way too 🙂 🙂

Kyle Watson8 said:it's actually a pretty sweet idea, taking the Dabra over to Woven Hand...

and then maybe, I don't know, it would be kind of nice if you two just woke up on a train headed toward Damascus*

i don't know what you just said, but i don't like the way you said it 👎

Mr. Beast said:So when George mentioned that Samantha's character was based on a real person, I was just like, no way, there's no actual human being out there who could be that funny.

Whoops, two typos in one sentence... I guess my little jabs actually got under your skin after all 😛

Jesse Sanchez7 said:American cinema is way over-rated, if you ask me.👎 I guess it's just enough for some hipster kids to go, "Oh wow, this latest Takashi Miike flick is so deep because he lost his head and a girl shoved it in a box, and then there was some weird scene involving a cat and a guy getting hit with a brick," and suddenly everyone wants to see it... it's just whatever...

unlike those non-hipster types who pretty much realize that all these movies follow that exact same pattern...

... and they end up looking kind of silly 🙂

i mean... maybe you should go watch some Japanese horror anime now... I'm actually kind of curious to see what you'd say then 😛

casualotter21 said:I don't really care if the plot is amazing or whatever... I dig Sky Captain and Sleepy Hollow mostly because they lean into those specific aesthetics I'm into.

yeah, exactly 👍 👍

I mean, as long as a movie manages to capture that vibe from Gilliam's earlier "living nightmares," I guess I'm pretty happy with that. 🙂

Gerald Barrett25 said:A lot of folks on IMDb are comparing this movie to Sleepy Hollow, and I mean, they aren't wrong... Sleepy Hollow was just done SO much better. It actually had a sense of rhythm and a coherent story.

But wait, wasn't the plot and the narrative pacing actually the worst parts of SH?

Anyway, I'm watching this regardless of how bad the hype was surrounding the film.

I guess I'm just a sucker for these kinds of stylistic indulgences. 😎

Brian Moore67 said:With maybe a $10,000 budget, you could actually set up a little film studio... which, if you think about it, is basically just half the price of a decent used car.

I mean, that number goes up quite a bit if you're sticking to all the legal software and stuff.

Just thinking about it... that amount would barely cover a single high-quality three-chip camera, and then you still have to factor in Adobe Premiere, plus Magic Bullet, then lighting, cables, hiring people, feeding everyone, getting them to the set... there's just a lot to consider.

It’s a lot of moving parts, I guess.

Personally, I think the second one might actually be slightly better

especially those first 10 minutes... man, that was totally unexpected

we're just sitting there watching the movie, or rather, watching how Wes Craven seems to just have a blast parodying his own style😁

if you consider what First Scream did for the horror genre, I feel like the sequel did it even better—by poking fun at all those typical sequels

the only thing is, the ending is kind of a mess...

well, maybe not if you're looking at it through the lens of a standard sequel, I guess😉
