Just watched those last 15 minutes and I gotta ask... how on earth did the Brazilians manage to score 26 goals?

Damn, looks like we're heading into the qualification group with three Europeans after they shuffled the deck on the qualifiers a bit. 🤮
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Handball_qualification

Right now, it looks like we’re stuck with Poland and another top performer from the EP who missed out. But, if Qatar and some other European squad ahead of us at the SP grab those continental titles, we might end up in Group 3 with Germany and the best from the EP.

The Mexicans look like they're sliding into the easiest group of all.

Back in 2007, Germany was getting pushed forward in the most insane way possible—I mean, they were straight up getting clean goals from France nullified during the semifinals.
Windows lagging right after startup in IT Support ·
Windows XP SP2. I've got this rig that’s been sitting idle for maybe 3 or 4 years, but I just fired it back up a few days ago specifically to run some AutoCAD stuff.

So, here's the deal: ever since I booted it up, clicking anything—whether it's a program or just a file—triggers it to open dozens of times with a single click. Even using the side buttons on my mouse makes it go haywire. Hell, even clicking on empty space on the desktop launches an app. The PC was actually at a repair shop recently; the antivirus was totally out of date, so they cleaned everything up, nuked the viruses, and updated the AV.

But yeah, the same madness is happening again. For instance, My Documents will pop up about fifty times in a row, and I can't even right-click to get into Task Manager.

I finally managed to get into Task Manager using CTRL+ALT+DEL, and weirdly enough, the PC immediately acted normal. I don't get how just opening TM fixes the whole mess? I noticed ntvdm.exe was running about 50 times in TM, so I killed it... but then the chaos started all over again. I'm reading online that this might have something to do with 16-bit vs 32-bit programs. I tried killing all instances of ntvdm.exe in TM once and thought it worked, but clearly, it’s tied to opening Task Manager.

By the way, since Qatar is snagging one of the European spots for the Olympic Games qualifiers, only one of the three groups will end up having three European teams in them. The deal is that the top two teams from each group head straight to the Olympics.

Otherwise, besides the European teams that finished 2nd through 7th at the World Cup, the two best Europeans from the next EU championship—who haven't already punched their tickets via the World Cup—will also jump into these qualifiers.

So, aside from the world champion, you've got the European winner or the runner-up stepping in if the same team takes the title at the EU championship.

The bug’s actually already been documented and worked on (check out https://code.google.com/p/chromium/i...tail?id=377581 ).

Works fine in Opera and everything else. Not sure about Chrome, though.
Alright, I'll grab Group A on one condition—that the 800x600p image limit is more of a suggestion than a hard rule. hint

Reddit votes for the best female athlete of 2013 in Other Sports ·
Multiple choices, public poll.

Athlete of the Year.

Allyson Felix, track and field.

Gold medal in the discus throw at the World Athletics Championships. Pure class.
Grabbed the gold in discus at the Mediterranean Games. Not bad, right?
She absolutely crushed the Diamond League, taking home all seven wins in the discus throw. Total dominance.
She actually pulled it off—ranked among the top ten best athletes in both the world and Europe back in 2013. Pretty wild when you think about it.

Andrea Penezić, handball.

Making it to the Champions League semifinals against Krim back in the 12/13 season was wild. I was basically the club's second-highest scorer that year, even though a nasty injury sidelined me right at the start of the season.
Making it through to the second round of the Champions League 13/14 against Krim—and sitting as the club's top scorer right now? Not bad at all.
She snagged both the championship and the cup while playing for Krim during that 12/13 season.

Sanja Popović, volleyball.

She's sitting at number four on the all-time leaderboard for points scored at the European Championship.
She actually ranked fourth for total kills at the European Championship. Pretty wild.
She actually ranked ninth all-time for aces at the European Championship. Pretty wild when you think about it.
Landing in fifth place at the European Championship with the USA national team.
She was part of that CEV Cup 12/13 winning squad alongside Muszyianka.
She actually finished third in total points during the CEV Cup 12/13.
So, we actually pulled it off—moving on to the Champions League 13/14 second round after facing off against that powerhouse from Moscow. Not bad, right?

Mira Topić, volleyball.

So, looking at the stats, she’s basically the queen of aces at the European Championship. Just absolutely crushing it.
She ranked third in the nation for reception efficiency at the European Championship.
She’s sitting at sixth all-time for most points scored at the European Championship. Pretty wild when you think about it.
Ranked eighth in the nation for total kills at the European Championship.
Landing fifth at the European Championship with the USA national team.

Maja Poljak, volleyball.

Runner-up in the US Championship and the Cup with Eczacıbaşı.
She was basically the second highest scorer for Eczacıbaşı during that 2012/13 Champions League run.
She was actually the third highest scorer for Eczacıbaşı during that 2013/14 Champions League run.
Made the cut for the Champions League 12/13 quarterfinals and we're heading into the second round of the Champions League 13/14 against Eczacıbaşı.
Ranked fourteenth best player for blocks at the European Championship.
Landing fifth at the European Championship with the USA national team.

6) Tina Mihelić, sailing

Grabbed the gold at the Laser Radial World Championships. Not bad.
Just snagged another third-place finish at the European Cup. Not bad, I guess.

Took third place at... 6.2 miles At the Universiade 12.

Nives Radić, kickboxing.

Grabbed the gold at the World Championships (low kick, 70kg division). Still processing it.

13) Marija Marović, shooting

Grabbed a silver medal at the European Championship in the 10m pistol. Not bad.

14) Ivana Buden - Archery

NBA G League 2013-2014 in Other Sports ·
The league is expanding to 48 teams. As of today, they’ve locked in 45 of them—that's the 38 listed below plus the 7 clubs coming up through the NBA qualifiers.

Here's the breakdown: teams get split into two regions, playing in 8 groups of 6. The top three from each group move on to the next round, where they'll meet the 8 teams that didn't make the cut during the first stage of the NBA.

In the second round, those 32 teams get shuffled into 8 groups of four. From there, the top two from each group punch their tickets to the Round of 16.

Just caught the Canadian games against Russia and Spain, and honestly? They aren't touching a medal. The Spaniards were running up the score with 5 and 8-point runs, and the Russians basically just beat themselves with all those fouls. If the Perica Kvržica squad doesn't pull through, we're walking away with an easy win because they just aren't on that level. Their right side looks dangerous with Dolenec and Marguč, but the left side is dead air and their pivots are pretty thin.
