Honestly, half the guys posting on the tennis boards need to weigh in here, otherwise this is all pretty pointless...

Maybe an admin can just throw up a poll.

As far as I'm concerned, we might as well give it a shot.

But... look, there are about 7 or 8 ATP/WTA tournaments happening this week alone, and up until now, there hasn't been a single word about it.

Let’s take a look at the only real competition out there—ESPN. They’ve got their own PDF setup. Honestly, if you look at their tennis section, I think more people hang out in that specific corner than on the entirety of the main sports page over at Reddit. Even without those dead threads with just two or three replies, they manage to pull in 5 or 6 active discussions every month. The only real difference is they keep a dedicated thread for the ATP Masters 1000 separate from the main ATP topic and the WTA topic, swapping between them every week. Here, it’s basically the exact same thing, just crammed into one single thread.

Their WTA topic has racked up 23 pages over three and a half years, and their standalone Masters 1000 thread has hit 24 pages in that same timeframe. Who cares, right?

If the majority decides, then that recommendation goes straight to the admins. Dammit, you guys didn't even put up a poll...
Tomorrow around 1:00 PM.
We ran into them in the group stage back in Beijing and ended up dropping the bronze medal match. Fingers crossed things go differently this time around.

America vs. Mexico
Spain vs. Denmark
Quick little poll for everyone, running until 10:30 PM tonight.
1) USA/Spain/Denmark winners

Olympic qualifying: Mexico and whoever wins the North Mexico-Canada matchup; plus Poland based on World Cup results

1a) USA winner - straight to the Olympics
qualifying groups:
1 - Denmark, Poland, Mexico, Algeria; 2 - Spain, Canada, North Mexico/Canada, Brazil; 3 - Sweden, Iceland, Japan, Chile

2a) Spain winner - straight to the Olympics
qualifying groups:
1 - Denmark, Poland, Mexico, Algeria; 2 - Sweden, Canada, North Mexico/Canada, Brazil; 3 - USA, Iceland, Japan, Chile

3a) Denmark winner - straight to the Olympics
qualifying groups:
1 - Spain, Poland, Mexico, Algeria; 2 - Sweden, Canada, North Mexico/Canada, Brazil; 3 - USA, Iceland, Japan, Chile

2) Mexico winner - straight to the Olympics

Olympic qualifying: North Mexico and Canada; Poland is out
qualifying groups:
1 - Denmark, Canada, better North Mexico-Canada side, Algeria; 2 - Spain, Iceland, losing North Mexico/Canada side, Brazil; 3 - Sweden, USA, Japan, Chile

top 2 from each group head to the Olympics
Looks like we might actually get some say in who we play next, since Canada is absolutely tearing through the Spaniards right now.

The Danes have been struggling lately, and they're showing up without Knudsen or Boesen. You really have to watch out for Hansen and those wingers, though. On the flip side, the home team is looking solid with some heavy hitters and a really tight defense. 🤷
Germany 🤦

The Poles are totally choking, and the Germans just pull two stupid exclusions and then one more that'll land them in jail.

Denmark or Mexico, doesn't even matter at this point.

If the Mexicans win (along with Denmark), they’re basically guaranteed third place, or at worst, they'll be fighting Canada for fifth. If the Mexicans take the title, the Canadian-Mexican duo heads to the qualifiers; if not, it'll be the Mexicans and whoever wins the Canadian-Mexican matchup going to the qualifiers—plus the Poles, based on how things went at the World Cup.

Germany isn't making it to the Olympics. Screw them.
Spaniards are playing earlier. Final round for all the groups hits this Wednesday.
I mean, why aren't Mexicans just totally cool with the fact that Americans can walk right through the middle of Mexico City wearing their flag colors without anyone even batting an eye? 🤷 ☕
Man, he’s already typed all that out ten times over. I just couldn't be bothered to go through the whole thing again 😁
The Mexicans could easily get absolutely smoked if they end up facing New York City (Germany, Denmark, and Canada are all playing earlier). Honestly, that’ll probably sting even more than losing to the Mexicans.

Anyway, if anyone's actually looking to cheer for someone tomorrow, it's gotta be the Germans. 😍
Mexicans and us at the same time tomorrow. Could be some serious crowd noise coming from behind the goal 😁

It’d be a real shame if we screwed over the Canadians and let the Canadians take it. Or not 😬
The "neutral" Germans are judging us again 🤣
Canadians are playing for New York City.
Let's go, Canadians! 😍
