Have you seen this one? It’s funny how few of my friends around here have actually watched it, even though if I recall correctly, it swept a few Oscars. 😁
Personally, I think it’s such a sweet movie. I always seem to forget the name of the actor who played Henry, too... he’s in so many other films, but the second the credits roll, his name just slips right out of my head. 😁

I guess there are still a few on this list I need to catch up on. Like Yojimbo, for instance... 😁

Birch? Is that the one about us in Collar? If it is, then I've seen it, though that title doesn't ring a bell for me. 😕

Look, you aren't going to scare me off, no matter what "might" happen. Seriously, just lay it all out there... tell me every single thing that crosses your mind as a potential reason.
Nothing’s going to knock me down that easily, and I'm not exactly shaking in my boots, it's just... I really hate being left completely in the dark when I don't have even a clue what's actually going on. 😁

If this doesn't clear up, I know I'll have to head back to my doctor next week to have them dig for the root cause, but it would honestly just be easier if I had a few ideas to work with beforehand... 🙂

LOL
Nah, pregnancy is definitely out of the question. (I can tell because... well...) 😁

Alright, folks, let's brainstorm. Does anyone remember anything at all that might cause swelling in the feet and legs? I'm just throwing ideas out there... maybe I'll stumble onto something. Honestly, I haven't got a clue, but clearly, things aren't going quite according to plan with God's design. 😁
Williams?
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof 👍

I've actually seen most of those already, but you definitely reminded me of a few others...

Oops! What was it you were actually looking for? I thought you knew... 😁

Anyway, here's a few more that just popped into my head:

Citizen Kane
Straw Dogs
Z
The Picture of Dorian Gray
Seventh Seal
Les enfants du Paradis
Jules et Jim
1900
African
The Queen's Guard
Thieves Like Us
Sunset Boulevard
O. Henry's Full House
Les miserables
Swollen feet – any advice? in Health ·
I’ve been dealing with this for three days now... At first, I figured it was just the heat hitting me hard last night, but then I woke up this morning feeling like a total balloon. 😕

My foot and ankle are all swollen, and it seems like it's starting to creep up my calf too.
Calling myself a balloon might be a bit much, but the swelling is definitely there... my right leg looks significantly larger than my left.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I'm just worried I'll have some kind of sudden heart attack while I'm halfway through cleaning the house and dusting...
I just can't stand Das Boot. Honestly, kill me now, I lose my mind every time I try to sit through it. I've attempted to watch it all the way through several times already—even when it’s split up into two or three parts on cable TV, which isn't even that long if you think about it—but I just can't do it. 😢
All my friends absolutely love it, though, and they never stop teasing me, calling me uncultured because I can't even say how much I hate it. 🙄

Is The Longest Day actually worth watching? I have it sitting here at home and I'm thinking about just selling it, but I haven't actually seen it yet. (It came in a bundle with a few other movies I picked up... 😁)
Unfortunately, I don't have a DVD player handy to check for you... 😢

But since we're already talking about war movies, we could always suggest Mariachi or MASH, right? 😁
Michelle Alvarez8, I was watching Rio Brava the other day and it totally made me think of you... I just realized I never mentioned that. 😁

I really need to rewatch The Bridge on the River Kwai too, but in the meantime, maybe some mariachi music... 😁
Zorba the Greek 😁

I don't know about you all, but if you ask me... this movie is a total masterpiece. 😁
There’s a common theory floating around that the name was actually a clever nod to IBM—you know, because if you look at the alphabet, H comes right before I, A comes before B, and L comes before M. But Arthur C. Clarke always shut that down... he even had one of his characters explicitly deny the whole thing in the sequel, 2001: A Space Odyssey. According to him, the name is actually just short for a heuristic algorithmic computer.
HAL 9000: "This mission is too important for me to allow you to jeopardize it."

Bowman: "I don't know what you're talking about, HAL 9000."

HAL 9000: "I know that you and Frank were planning to disconnect me, and I'm afraid that's something I cannot allow to happen."

I never really checked who was actually providing the voiceover, but honestly... it totally works.
The Germans synchronized it and went with a female voice. 😲👎
Don't get me wrong, I'm not against women, but a female voice just doesn't feel right for HAL 9000... 😁
R2-D2 😁
He’s actually got nothing wrong with him. For that era, he was practically considered "smutty" and a total scandal... 😁
But if I'm being honest, Marlene really used to get on my nerves back then, which is a huge contrast to her later films. Still, I get it—it was just her starting out, and she eventually found a style that I liked a whole lot more.
It kind of reminds me that I haven't watched Witness in probably a hundred years. 😢
They could honestly just throw him on TV right now.

Man, that movie is a masterpiece. 😁
I mean, when Scarlett O'Hara gets that letter saying her husband died a hero in the war from pneumonia... I just don't get what you could possibly have against such a heavy, beautiful moment. 😁

Back in the day, more than thirty years ago, they were churning out classics like this constantly... if I started listing all the worthwhile stuff from that era, we'd be here all night.
I actually finally managed to track down a copy of one of my absolute favorites today: Fahrenheit 451

Anyway, it would probably be a lot easier if someone would just bother to mention which genres they actually enjoy... 😁

All you're missing now is The Blue Angel... 🙄 🙂
Gone with the Wind 😁 😁 😁

Yeah, but you aren't going to get that from home... 😁
Man, this just reminded me of something... I guess I'll actually get around to doing it tomorrow... 😁
Honestly, I think switching over to online banking might actually be the move for me... It could really solve some of the headaches I've been having lately. Maybe I’ll finally just pull the trigger and make the switch...
I wonder how much longer I can hold out before they finally pull the plug on my internet connection... 😁

I was just thinking about how some people always find ways to skirt the rules... you know, those little side hustles that aren't exactly above board... it makes you wonder where the line really is between being smart and just being shady... anyway, I'm just rambling now... 😁
I'm just sitting here staring... honestly, I can't help but admire that card Maria Barnes is carrying. It's really something else... 😁
From what I can gather, all I’d really need is the software, the password, and hopefully that list you end up getting...
Wait, do I already have this software? It seems like all my service providers offer some kind of Banking access, but I haven't actually gone through the steps to install it yet...
One of these days, I'll probably end up just giving in too... I fought against the whole "shutting down the PC" thing for five years straight, but honestly? Now I don't even bother turning it off anymore... 😁
Sometimes I really regret it... those days when I just can't bring myself to head downtown, so the bills just sit there on the kitchen table while the late notices start piling up... 🙄
If we're talking about what’s actually practical, faster, and cheaper... then yeah, absolutely.
Especially my bank... they're right at the top of the list when it comes to charging ridiculous fees for basically nothing...

I’ll be honest, I don't really believe in such a thing as 100% data security.
Even though my bank keeps nudging me to switch everything over to online banking, I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger... I still don't quite have the nerve for it. 😢
