The glucose tolerance test is basically where they draw your blood before you drink that sugary solution, and then they keep testing you every single hour for the next four hours. Your fourth reading is usually the one that really matters most.
Sugar levels can swing wildly from one hour to the next because things like stress can totally mess with them.
I actually went through this during my pregnancy when I had gestational diabetes, and while it cleared up after I gave birth, I still need to head back to the doctor to get checked out.
Maybe just get a urine test done first since any excess sugar in your blood ends up there, so it's worth doing before you commit to the full OGTT.

I actually dealt with some super similar symptoms right before I got diagnosed with retinal detachment, and those sparks definitely feel like eye floaters to me. You should probably go see an ophthalmologist to get your eyes checked out ASAP.
I’ve been drinking this Revita-matic milk to give my immune system a little boost, and honestly, my bloodwork during pregnancy was better than it’s ever been in my life.

I actually had a roommate at the hospital once who was this researcher from Russia studying urine therapy, and she told me it's basically the most popular alternative treatment they have over there right now. Her parents are both drinking their own urine to deal with cancer. She even cured her two-year-old daughter's skin condition using urine compresses. And she brushes her teeth in it every single morning.
It all kicked off about ten days ago with this weird allergy breaking out between my fingers and across my palms, looking like these big mosquito bites that just wouldn't stop itching. It cleared up after a few days, but then it migrated straight to the soles of my feet, so I just used some Benadryl cream and that seemed to do the trick.
Now my feet are swelling up starting from the ankles, and my left hand and fingers are totally puffed up too. Nothing really hurts, I’m peeing fine, my blood pressure is just low like it always is, and I don't feel lightheaded at all... I tried sleeping with my legs propped up last night, which helped the swelling go down a bit this morning, but now it's just getting worse and worse again. It’s mostly just my left palm and fingers, and I can't even make a fist.
I'm honestly freaking out a little, like why is it only my left side? Ugh, I seriously do not want to deal with more doctor visits.😢
I’ve been sipping on some Donat mg to get more magnesium in my system, but honestly, it hasn't done a single thing for me. I was barely able to drag myself out of bed yesterday and spent the whole day just shuffling around like a zombie. I'm heading in for some blood work and a urine test tomorrow to see what's actually going on.
Galadriel used to catch me mid-swim too, but I always managed to shake it off pretty easily, though now like you mentioned, that pain just lingers for two or three days straight.
I'm gonna stick with the magnesium for a bit and just see how things settle down.
Casey Palmer5 said:We've definitely touched on this before, so you should probably double-check if you're actually staying hydrated enough because muscle cramps can totally be caused by dehydration. When your body is lacking water, it messes with your electrolyte balance, which is what triggers those cramps, especially since things like potassium, sodium, and calcium play such a huge role.
You should definitely bring this up at your next check-up to see if your OB-GYN has any actual useful advice for you.
I drink plenty of fluids, like 3 liters a day.
And I already asked my OB-GYN about it, but she suggested something so ridiculous I seriously considered finding a new doctor... she actually claimed it was just some lingering effect from the anesthesia I had 20 days ago.🙄 🙄
I’ve dealt with foot and calf cramps for as long as I can remember, but I eventually figured out my own little trick to loosen everything up and get some relief. It’s that intense cramp where my foot just curls up and my toes lock tight, and then after a few seconds of forcing my foot straight, it finally lets go.
But lately, over the last few months, this pain—especially in my calves—has gotten so brutal that I honestly feel totally helpless. It’s waking me up in the middle of the night and making it a real struggle just to walk around... it feels like part of my calf is constantly seized up, so I’ve been taking šumeći magnesium for days on end, but the pain just won't quit.
It probably has something to do with another health issue I'm dealing with, but man, I really wish I knew how to make it stop.
It’s been about 20 days since they did my IV insertion near the wrist for some sake, and honestly, the whole area is still this weird bluish-yellow color and it totally hurts if I even touch it, which is just such a bummer😢
honestly i feel like it might be a bit early to even think about getting laser eye surgery since your prescription isn't quite high enough yet, and you really don't want to be putting unnecessary stress on your eyes. plus that growth could totally level off on its own.
hmm... I've honestly never heard anyone say that propolis drops work as an antidepressant...
well, I actually did mention earlier that I wasn't sure if it was an antidepressant or not
but I wouldn't go so far as to say they actually calm you down... hmmm..
it says right there on the instructions inside the box that they have a calming effect, plus I've heard plenty of people who take them regularly say the exact same thing.
I'm not totally sure if you'd call it an antidepressant, but I swear by Prozac for when things get super tense and my nerves start acting up... plus some propolis drops, just about 10 drops in a little water twice a day. It really keeps your system protected, gives your immune system a solid boost, and just keeps everything chill.
Don't get me wrong, but my father-in-law used to deal with some minor acid reflux after meals, and now he's basically missing half his internal organs.
It’s wild how those totally harmless little symptoms can actually be hiding such massive health issues.
