Looks like dermatitis to me. Doesn't necessarily mean it is, though.

Thanks, all 5 🙂

The social contract gets signed on Tuesday, and CNN wraps things up then too 🙂

I'll be running my own business soon 👋

Thanks a ton. That’s what I figured too. 🙂

My buddy just threw me for a loop when he claimed you get extra pay for every single task. $50 🙂

How many different business activities can I register, and does each one come with its own extra fee?

I know the initial registration and filing costs $133, but I'm stuck on whether that covers everything or if I have to pay more for every single activity I add later on.

It’s a small business, but I haven't actually worked there in ages—I've been at a different company in a different city for a while now.

And now I’m changing my legal residence, so officially, I won't even be living in that town anymore. The business will just keep running on autopilot without me.

Assuming I haven't completely overcomplicated this... 🤷

I was hoping you’d be the one to give me an answer 🙂

Gonna give Hertz a call and let you know what they say 🙂

Anyway, if nothing changes, my husband will officially be living in one city while I’m stuck in another 🙄

EDITION: Called them. Turns out legally, it doesn't matter where the business owner lives as long as the shop stays registered and operating in its current city

So, changing my address won't cause any issues, but it still doesn't solve the problem of moving the actual business location

Since I got married and had to update all my IDs, I need to fix up my small business paperwork too.

So, here's the deal... Along with the name change, I’m moving. I own my own LLC, but I won't be living in the same city where the business is registered anymore—I'll be way out in 497 miles...

Question: Am I going to run into any trouble since my home address will be on one side of the US and my shop will be on the other?
I’m not even working at the business right now anyway; I’ve got a job at a different company in a different city...

Thanks a ton!

We’re going to have a lovely cake, though I already know deep down it won't be a total masterpiece—mostly because it's all whipped cream, specifically that real heavy cream stuff you whip up yourself—so I'm currently hunting for some sort of textured, rustic, or "perfectly imperfect" design to help mask her little decorating mishaps ☕

I rarely go for whipped cream🙄 especially that canned stuff in a spray can. If it's the real deal, though, then we're talking.🙂

Just throw some fresh flowers on there to distract from any uneven spots... honestly, I wouldn't even mind if it looks a bit bumpy. In fact, 😍 I kind of love the imperfections.😍

Anyway, I think the kale thing is awesome too.😍

I'll probably be holding a bouquet of kale while red roses sit on the tables at the restaurant...

Mine is just pure chocolate—no extra fluff...

It’s topped with this smooth chocolate ganache, and I might add some chocolate shavings on the side 😍

I could also go the extra mile and stick two fresh red roses on each tier.

Check out these shots just to get an idea of the vibe.

This one feels a little over-the-top:

Jesse Hughes2 said:All I know is that a close friend of mine spent ages hunting for the right stand—pretty sure it was a three-tier setup too—and she finally tracked one down at Nutrapak, so maybe give them a call and see what they have.

Thanks 🙂

Decided a three-tier cake just looks better anyway. 😍

Anyone know where I can rent some cake stands? Looking for a three-tier set.

I'm planning to pick them up in Washington, D.C. and drop them off at DBK 🙂

Any idea what the damage would be for that?

Thanks! 👍
I don't know why I thought we were talking about your brother... my bad.

Anyway, I'm not going to go back and edit the post now.
slymaker24 said:urgent question:

What's the protocol for getting someone with diagnosed paranoid schizophrenia—who’s already legally incapacitated and has a guardian—into involuntary treatment if they're refusing meds and starting to look dangerous to others?

Any advice is appreciated!

Like you probably know, you pretty much need the police involved to 👎

There's one other way that works, though it really depends on how much your brother trusts his doctor.

If he actually listens to his physician, try to convince him to go in for a consultation, ideally directly at the clinic. While you're doing that, coordinate with the doctor regarding an involuntary hold. You should also clear things with the officers who will be escorting you. If you can drive him there yourselves while having the police follow in another car, you might avoid making the whole situation more traumatic for him. They'll still file the paperwork for the involuntary commitment, but it feels less aggressive.

Of course, this entire plan hinges entirely on whether your brother is willing to sit down with his psychiatrist. Once he's actually on the unit, though...

Also, I'm pretty sure this only works if it's a formal hospital admission.

It's worth a shot since I assume everyone just wants to minimize the damage for your brother.
I've been forcing myself into 4.5-hour sleep cycles for two days now.😢

And honestly? I don't even feel bad—if anything, I’m more focused and wired than usual.

I've realized that if I oversleep, I basically become a zombie.
But I can't exactly survive on nothing every single night either.

Still haven't found that sweet spot...
Are you a morning person or not? in Health ·
Helpful tip: back when I was living with my parents, we had this unspoken rule where they wouldn't mess with me until I was actually awake. 😁

The phone thing is what kills me now—I know I’ve been talking, and I know who I was talking to, but I usually have zero clue what I actually said.
And every single time people ask if they woke me up, I just lie and say "nope, I've been up for ages." 😎 (I even told that crazy neighbor who called me at 5 AM 😁 that I was wide awake, mostly because I hadn't realized how early it actually was.
)
For years now, I've been trying to convince myself it's just a blood pressure thing.
Not like anyone actually buys that, though. 😕

Ugh, in the mornings I don't just lack brain cells—I honestly forget I’m even a functioning human being. 😁

Usually, if my phone wakes me up, I can't even remember half the nonsense I was babbling.
Every other morning involves me spilling coffee and smashing a mug in the process.

If I actually have plans, I have to wake up at least two hours before I need to leave the house just to feel conscious.

And clearly, I can't get my sleep schedule right to save my life. It doesn't matter if I hit the hay at 11 PM or 5 AM. Whether I get four hours or eight, I'll still be staring at the ceiling at the wrong time the next night.

I hate being asked anything first thing in the morning.
I hate being jolted awake by anyone.

CONCLUSION: I am a total disaster in the AM.

Benjamin Moore said:I can actually fall asleep, I’m just terrified I won’t be able to.

Relatable.

And once I miss my window, I start spiraling and then sleep becomes impossible.

It always hits hardest when I'm actually exhausted.
I'm lying there, dying for sleep, but my eyes are wide open like searchlights.

Then comes the mental math. 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours of being wide awake.
So I end up pacing, turning on the lights, hopping on my laptop, shutting it down, getting back in bed—4 hours, 5 hours... until I finally pass out at 6 AM. 😱 😱 😱

Naturally, I have to resort to sleeping pills just to function sometimes.

Even those fail me half the time.
