I saw someone mention this movie in a thread and it caught my eye. I searched the forum but couldn't find the discussion, which is weird because the movie is phenomenal. Honestly, I watched it once and didn't grasp everything. Planning to watch it again and do some digging, but I'm curious to hear what everyone here thinks. After that first viewing, it feels like certain scenes were intentionally left out so we have to fill in the blanks ourselves. Most of all, I was struck by the chills I got halfway through—that scene where they're being followed by a car. I can't remember the last time a movie gave me that kind of dread and suspense.
Overall, I highly recommend it. It’s a brilliant example of how to pull off a sci-fi concept with a tiny budget, minimal characters, and few locations. I love movies and shows about time travel and shifting perspectives. It's great that you don't know who the good guys or the bad guys are until the end. The non-linear timeline makes it tricky to follow, which might turn some people off, but if you stick with it, it pays off big time. At the very least, you'll want to rewatch it or dive into forums to make sense of it.
For those who've seen it, are there any similar, maybe more obscure films I missed? I thought I'd seen most of the classics in this genre, then suddenly I stumble upon this one from 2004. I'm six years late to the party! 😁
Going to do some thinking and maybe sketch out some diagrams to clear my head. In the meantime, I'm looking forward to the comments. Feel free to spoil.

I'd just suggest a system where everyone submits one single pick, then we all vote. It's better than having one person dump five movies on everyone else to choose from ?
Exactly. At midnight, the first five suggestions go to a vote, and the voting lasts for a set amount of time. It adds a bit of competition since a ton of people will want to get their suggestion in right at midnight, but only the first five accepted by the thread move to the vote. And yeah, one suggestion per person.

...and then someone wins a prize at the end lol😁😂😂🤣
This is a great idea. When just one person picks, we're stuck with whatever they choose. This way, most people get a vote. It'll probably lead to choosing something good, fun, and easy to find.

I remember getting a copy of Valentine's Day 3D as a gift last year, and it came with those red and blue 3D glasses included in the box. I popped them on and watched the movie on my regular flat-screen, and it definitely had that 3D effect. If that doesn't count as watching something in 3D, then please, someone enlighten me.
Here is the deal: you clearly haven't experienced true 3D in a theater before. Try this instead: head over to a tech store like Best Buy, Gordon Ramsay, or Ellipsa. They all have display models. Just put the glasses on and watch a clip for a few minutes. You'll quickly realize the kind of 3D we're actually talking about.
Man, this was actually the last 3D flick I managed to snag via torrent. Honestly, don't listen to a word Edward Price6 said about the quality—I watched this whole thing in 1080p HD on my 22'' monitor and it looked great! If anyone's looking for the link, just shoot me a DM.
Oh my god! Did someone actually say that? Get into the 21st century already. Do some research before you start talking nonsense.
I’ve watched every single SAW movie, and now I see online that Saw 7 3D is coming out. I actually called the Broadway theater in Miami to see if they were screening it, but they told me NO.
Now I want to download the film, but I’m wondering how I can get the right glasses to watch it in 3D at home.
Any advice?
You'll need an expensive 3D TV and a compatible player. You can't just torrent it and watch it on a standard monitor.
Just another one with a disastrous ending. Yeah, the finale is honestly as bad as people say, maybe even worse. The movie does a decent job building up the dread and tension, though. But that ending... 👎
Watching this game show. Can't believe someone would actually do that! Al Pacino, when I really think about it, that's just how Americans are in general. I'm an American, so let's skip the pointless arguments. Nothing achieved on one's own. Just riding someone else's coattails. Shame on you. Someone actually put in the work to come up with all those questions, and then you just swoop in looking for the answers. If the winners shared among themselves, they could just split that prize money!
Yeah, it's been a while since I watched anything good. The first Darkness Movie was a pretty decent parody. McGruber is supposedly okay. I stopped watching these new American ones after I gave up on Meet the Spartans fifteen minutes in. We'll see.
Look, you have to realize this is a family movie meant for kids who aren't exactly Nikola Tesla or Albert Einstein. I went into this with an open mind and actually had some fun at times. It’s got humor, decent effects, and Cage—even if he is in every third movie this year—actually does a solid job here. The kid playing the lead was a bit annoying, but overall, it's a decent popcorn flick, mostly for the kids. Don't go looking for deep logic or high-end quality. Oh, and Molina is fantastic! He completely steals every scene. Just like in Prince of Persia.
I consider myself a huge movie buff. I can usually find something positive even in bad films. But I only made it halfway through this one! It was the first time in my life I actually stood up and walked out of a theater because the movie was just that terrible and overwhelming. The pacing is a disaster. They kept introducing new characters halfway through—maybe even later, I don't know since I left. The special effects aren't anything special either. Some parts are totally unbelievable (like, SPOILER: a guy gets poisoned by palladium or whatever is in his mini reactor, yet Stark wears that suit unnecessarily when he's breathing heavily). Gwyneth overacts, Scarlett looks obviously photoshopped in, and don't even get me started on Jackson. Even the fight scenes and effects in the first half are subpar—choppy cuts, bad CGI—it feels rushed. Like they just scrambled to finish it. And poorly at that. Maybe Terrence Howard left because he knew what a piece of junk this was going to be. I don't think I'll ever watch a sequel. Bad, bad, bad. The only bright spot is Rourke as the villain; he’s convincing and really nailed the role. Even Rockwell didn't particularly shine. Just for the record, I enjoyed the first part, but I think we're looking at a classic Transformers syndrome situation here.
