It ended with her stuck inside the hive, which doesn't leave much room for a sequel in my book. That whole escape was just a dream. I actually loved that ending, so I'm confused about how they'll do a follow-up. This was the uncut version.

So what? For a sequel to work, do I just have to ignore this ending or...? 😁

SPOILER!

Exactly. In America, the movie ends with the escape, so the sequel just has her heading back down with the crew. Honestly, the British ending is better, and it's a shame they forced a sequel, but I'll still check out the second one. You should watch The Ruins! It's a phenomenal movie and didn't get enough hype.

Let me know how it ends. Use a spoiler tag or white text.

Depends on which version you watched.
It doesn't connect to the British version, but it does to the American one.
It’s all about the ending. People who know, know.

I assume you've heard of having fun?
Not every movie needs to be a tragedy.

He picks one option, but most people are still unhappy. They start bringing up his mother. Then, after the credits roll, a crowd of angry viewers waits outside just to jump him.
😂

It would actually be pretty fun if I just called a friend over to mess with everyone. 😁 We could act out our own horror movie right in front of the room. There are tons of ways to make that happen.

So, what's the plan then?

It seems pretty obvious from the trailer that they're just giving you pre-packaged answers.
You’ll have to wait a bit for the level of interaction I’m looking for.

Just grab the version from Axx. It's better quality and already includes the English subtitles.

And then they'll have a baby named Sava Tar, directed by Kusturica, with blessings from Spielberg and Cameron. It’ll be this heartwrenching story where (imagine that deep trailer voice) a Mexican Sava Tar tries to overcome insurmountable obstacles to abandon his Mexican body and forever be an... (dramatic music) ... American. 😁
Nice work, you're going to rack up more posts than avatar! Haha!

Back when I was a teenager, I used to dream about seeing something like this in theaters. Basically, like those interactive comics or novels where you pick the ending.
If they nail the execution, it’ll be such a cool experience. It’ll be fun for the viewer talking to the characters on screen, and just as much fun for everyone sitting nearby.
Really hoping this hits American theaters soon.

I’ve watched this series countless times, from the very first episode to the last. I actually own the entire collection at home.
A movie just can't replicate a series because you're forced to cram in way too many jokes and sketches in just twenty minutes. It’s impossible to maintain that kind of pacing in a film. Still, I'm happy to hear they might reunite, assuming it actually happens—I hear there's always some pushback from one or two of them.

p.s.
Saying "check out Intact" isn't an argument that explains the plot holes in The Chronocrimen...
Calling the movie a masterpiece isn't an argument either, just like saying This is one of my top 5 movies! 😉

Honestly, I think I used up all my ammunition on Avatar.
I'm just out of steam, and I need to save some energy for future debates.
But basically, holes, paradoxes, and stuff like that are bound to happen in a movie like this. It all comes down to how you interpret it. It's the same with Triangle or Donnie Darko... you can read whatever you want into them. Are the gaps meant to confuse the viewer, or is it just an unreliable director? If they exist, maybe they're there for a reason. I don't really want to dive into that. I'm just sticking to that feeling of the first watch—the discovery and the tension. It’s easy to overthink everything later and act like we "knew" what was coming. I didn't. The movie kept surprising me every minute. That's why I found it easier to talk about Triangle, since it follows the same pattern. Like I mentioned in the Triangle thread, it handles the same themes in a very similar way. The Chronocrimen is slightly better for me by a few points. But both are good.

Check out the uncut version and let me know.
If you think that one sucks too, there's no point in talking. We'll never agree.

What are we talking about here?
This is easily one of my top five movies!
A fantastic low-budget sci-fi horror flick!
Highly recommend it to everyone.

So I'm only seeing one of those two images, which means I won't see any 3D at all?
Come on, does anyone have a more actual answer for me?
Or is there anyone here who went to the theater, got an itch in one eye, started rubbing it, and ended up watching the movie with only one eye open in the process? 😁

I read an article in the New York Times where a reader asked if people with vision in only one eye could experience 3D. Well, I'm not sure about people with visual impairments, or those who can barely see out of one eye. I assume the intensity wouldn't be quite the same, even if you managed to catch the 3D effect.

Watching movies in 3D is incredible—it honestly feels like you're right there in the action.
They’ve got 3D, 4D, and even 6D options now.
The feeling? Mind-blowing.
The visuals are stunning:
The sound is top-notch,
and the effects are out of this world.
It's definitely something you have to experience for yourself.

You can buy a 3D plasma TV. Coraline, for example, has a 3D edition on Blu-ray, and it comes with four pairs of glasses.

I saw this a few years back and it was quite an experience. Truly quite clever. As Shrek and the gang ride along in the carriage, the seats shake right along with them. Donkey lets out a sneeze on screen, and suddenly you get sprayed with water from the seat directly in front of you. It’s rather startling, actually. 👍

I love 3D. I've seen everything that was released in 3D at AMC Theatres.
So far, the best effects were definitely A Christmas Carol and Final Destination 4.
It's just a shame those movie series that were 3D overseas weren't here (Journey to the Center of the Earth, G-Force, Coraline, etc.).
Really looking forward to Avatar, and there will be more next year.

I've also done 4D or 6D projections—I think they're the same thing—at Disneyland in Italy. You get splashed with water, feel the wind, and all that.
Lucky we live in an era where this tech is being developed. The goal is to put the viewer right in the middle of the action for a full 360-degree experience.
