(basically how Tim Roth reacts when he sees this work)

And I’m constantly picking up the phone just to yell, "Who's dead?!"
Alright, we need some tracks that actually pack a punch when you're blasting them from the car...

Here’s what I’m thinking:

Shell Fuel—no explanation needed...

The Offspring: Bad Habit

Hey man you know I'm really okay
The gun in my hand will tell you the same
But when I'm in my car
Don't give me no crap
Cause the slightest thing and I just might snap
When I go driving I stay in my lane
But getting cut off makes me insane
I open the glove box
Reach inside
I'm gonna wreck this fucker's ride
I guess I got a bad habit
And it ain't goin' away Yeah
Well they say the road's a dangerous place
If you flip me off I'm the danger you'll face
You drive on my ass
You're foot's on the gas
And your next breath is your last
Drivers are rude
Such attitudes
But when I show my piece
Complaints cease
Something's odd
I feel like I'm God
You stupid dumbshit goddam motherfucker
I open the glove box
Reach inside
I'm gonna wreck this fucker's ride

The Offspring: D.U.I.
... Destinate someone other than me
I'm so drunk, I can hardly see
Another shot of jager then I turn the key
I got so many places to be

I drink and drive
Feel so alive...

Weird Al Yankovic: Truck Driving

I'm drivin' a truck
Drivin' a big ol' truck
Pedal to the metal, hope I don't run out of luck
Rollin' down the highway until the break of dawn
Driving lyrics

My diesel rig is northward bound
It's time to put that hammer down
Just watchin' as the miles go flyin' by
I'm ridin' twenty tons of steel
But it's sure hard to hold the wheel
While I'm waiting for my nails to dry

Oh, I always gotta check my lipstick in that rear view mirror
And my pink angora sweater fits so tight
I'm jammin' gears and haulin' freight
Well, I sure hope my seams are straight
Lord, don't let my mascara run tonight

Because I'm drivin' a truck
Drivin' a big ol' truck
Smokey's on my tail and my accelerator's stuck
Got these eighteen wheels - a - rollin' until the break of dawn
Drivin' a truck with my high heels on

Oh, I don't mind when my crotchless panties creep right up on me
And my nipple rings don't bother me too much
But when I hit those big speed bumps
My darling little rhinestone pumps
Keep slippin' off the mother - lovin' clutch

But still I'm drivin' a truck
Drivin' a big ol' truck
Heading down the interstate, just tryin' to make a buck
Wearing feather boas with sequins and chiffon
While I'm drivin' a truck with my high heels on

I'm drivin' a truck
Drivin' a truck
Got a load to carry and some eyebrows left to pluck
And I'm late for my appointment down at my hair salon
So I'll be drivin' a truck with my high heels on

Sad. Any suggestions?....
And I don't want that "cruising at 100 mph" crap...
🙂

binguli said:That color version is sacrilege. I have no idea who thought it was a good idea to dye what the Coens intended to be black and white. The film is a masterpiece.

The movie was actually conceived in color first; they just decided on a black-and-white release later on.

I’m with Vialliev's first post on this one.

Aside from that "Mr. Crane, I wanna help! Mr. Crane!" bit in the car, these scenes stick in my mind:
- Big Dave's wife shows up at Crane's door with those hollow, terrifying eyes while the wind shakes the branches in the background—talk about UNSETTLING 😁
- Crane shaving a woman's leg in the tub, then at the end, they shave him right before they turn the power on.
- That fat handyman, Crane's brother-in-law, starts spouting absolute nonsense when his sister is late for her trial.

I only ever managed to get one tape, and I was looking for the B&W version. Guess I'm just out of luck...

Love the Coen brothers. 👏

based on true events...
How does a group of partisans slaughter 80 soldiers in their own stronghold while only walking away with three scratches?

The dialogue feels fake, sure, but if you consider when this movie was made versus what we see today...

The camerawork is sluggish...

And the action sequences are just laughable (and not in a funny way!)...

Still, I've seen worse.

+ Idea.

- Forest Whitaker isn't exactly a top-tier actor, if you ask me.
The dynamics between the three burglars are totally half-baked. It just doesn't work.

The movie isn't bad, per se, but it really should have been better. (6.8/10)

- My dear Steve Buscemi's directorial debut.
The pacing is slow—probably boring for most people—but I see something special here.
Plus, the style is definitely an acquired taste.

In my opinion: if you're a fan of Buscemi's characters, you'll love this movie too.
When I grow up, I want to be an organ donor.
Honestly, the old folks lose their minds the second I bring it up. It makes things awkward at home for a few days, but I really don't care what anyone does with my body once I'm gone. You can eat my corpse for all I care—at least helping someone out is better than letting it go to waste...

What I'm trying to get at is that we're all just products of circumstances beyond our control. Or are we?

... so you're telling me we have zero influence over our own behavior, our thoughts, or our very personalities?

And what, we can only claim to have actually changed the world once we've raised our kids?
