There shouldn't be any issues here 😬
Send Nice the link to your initial post above, the one where I authorized the change.

As for everyone else currently waiting (boldhound17 and Gerald Jackson5), I just sent off another follow-up request.

That exact username already exists, just with a space between the words. Is this actually yours, and if so, what's stopping you from just using it?

I’ve already told you, I haven't received a straight answer on whether mail.ru is blacklisted or not. That is precisely why I asked you to test it using a different provider.
If it took you that long to set up an account with mail.ru, it'll take just as much effort to open one with Yahoo, Google, or whatever else is out there. There are plenty of options if you actually bother to choose one.

And if they have blacklisted that domain, I can guarantee it wasn't done without a good reason, regardless of which other email addresses some random forums might decide to accept.

Exactly. There are plenty of ways to keep a journal, whether you prefer old-school paper or a digital format.
Larry Walker24 said:Regarding reporting posts, the mods can see exactly what I’m flagging, and let me tell you, I’ve never once been rude when I submit a report. I don't get why anyone would think I'm being disrespectful?!

I honestly can't wrap my head around why you'd act that way sometimes either. I suppose the justification lies in that previous response you gave me.
Larry Walker24 said:Look, I write for myself, not because of what anyone else thinks.

Yeah. We’ve all heard that one before. 🐔
lonegull16 said:What does your comment even have to do with the person you just quoted? 🤣

You might as well just accept the consequences—which is that you aren't getting that PDF of the Eurovision results 😁

It is relevant. 👍
Where exactly in this post did I target anyone, especially you? Just please don't tell me you're reading between the lines. Because what is written is exactly what is meant, right down to the punctuation.
Jerry Robinson56, you aren't exactly providing much of a serious conversation here. I can't stand it when people insist I meant something I didn't, particularly when they take my words and twist them into something entirely different despite there being absolutely no subtext to support it.

Over and out.
Let me set the record straight on yet another blatant misquotation: Casilda doesn't just unilaterally decide whether to implement or scrap a partial ban. It doesn't matter which other moderators happen to be online at any given moment; the expectation is that we reach a consensus. If we can't come to a unanimous decision, then the status quo remains.

Go ask in the politics section... Cuka knows the answer, it's possible, and a very respected "sister" confirmed it herself. Before that thread's title was changed due to shifts in the political landscape, I wasn't even able to post exclusively within it...

It seems your standards are inconsistent, when they ought to be uniform... wouldn't you agree?
Thus, I wrote it out... in a somewhat casual manner... you clearly don't want to meet my more serious side. (To clarify, please do not misinterpret my intent) We are professionals here, are we not?
It isn't a matter of personality, but rather the sheer arrogance of certain "chosen ones" who simply cannot stomach being wrong. I am not judging them; after all, they are merely human beings too...

There shouldn't be any ambiguity here; posting on mobile, going off-topic, or diving into politics are three entirely different things, and politics carries the strictest rules on this forum for good reason.
Furthermore, we have to remember that moderators are actual human beings, not programmed machines following a rigid script; they naturally react differently depending on the individual—whether it's a regular user who slips up once in a blue moon or someone who is a habitual offender.
That is the blunt reality of it.

edit. You tacked that last paragraph onto your post after I had already finished, so I didn't quote or address it directly, even though my response covers the substance regardless of what else you might decide to add later.😁

When did I ever act stuck up?

Perhaps you haven't done it publicly—I don't follow you, nor anyone else, to avoid any confusion 😬.
You seem to forget that moderators have access to material that regular users can't see, such as your reported posts and their associated comments.
Of course, we aren't allowed to disclose that here, which is a shame right now because I feel like the little bit of support you're getting from certain individuals would vanish instantly if they knew.

However, in this specific instance, I consider your persistent rule-breaking to be the definition of arrogance. I've already vented about this on this board, and frankly, I have no desire to scroll back through old threads to repeat myself.

You had plenty of chances to take a look yourself while you were still in the black, so don't go blaming me now; I have absolutely no intention of sending you a DM, and I certainly won't be accepting one from you either. 😛
Larry Walker24 said:back then, the PDF NYC didn't even exist yet 😉

Like I said, all that arrogance finally came back to bite them right in the ass. 😉
Jerry Robinson56 said:I understand, but... 😁

I have no desire to ask you whether I am considered a useful member 🕺 you know what I mean...
You possess discretionary authority in accordance with Chapter Big A to grant mercy.

Initially, I was denied access to one solitary thread on the entire NYC PDF, so I remain silent on how such inversions are possible. However, as the gentleman here suggested, perhaps a month of conditional freedom—not applied to just one single thread—would suffice. If he violates the terms, shoot him without hesitation...

And in exchange, I propose a one-month ban for myself during that period 🙂 across all threads (with the exception of the Return of the Banned section)... actually, make it two months.

Legal counsel has never actually helped anyone, unless it came directly from other moderators in a serious capacity rather than as some sort of joke.

This part in bold regarding one solitary thread makes absolutely no sense to me. 🤔
It is impossible to partition a specific topic unless that topic functions as its own sub-forum; perhaps things operated differently in the past, but I truly wouldn't know.
Larry Walker24 said:If I screw up, I'm losing access to that pdf NYC forever, so you can bet I'm gonna be playing it safe.

But you've already screwed up countless times. Total garbage, right? That's exactly why you don't have access anymore.
It’s been proven by the example of that skeptic clinging to the pdf Eurovision file that you simply can't just open any random pdf.
The partial restriction covers the entire sub-forum, and even though we thought we could grant access to a nested sub-sub-forum for those under partial restrictions, it turns out that isn't technically possible.

That doesn't mean the mods would agree to it in this instance, even if it were doable. When you give someone a mountain of chances to evolve from a spammer into a productive member, and they just toss those opportunities into the wind while shouting, "Who cares? You can't do anything to me, your warnings and restrictions don't mean a damn thing," there comes a point where the mods realize it's just not worth the headache.
Larry Walker24 said:I'm actually planning to launch a YouTube channel this February to talk about Dora and everything else involving Eurovision, all in English.

I'll send you the link 🙂

Sounds good to me! 👍

Man, if that's how things worked, even the Supreme Court would be a joke. Even they mostly rule by majority vote with a few dissenting opinions here and there.

Like with those COVID-19 certificates—there were three dissenting opinions where people didn't agree, but the majority decided the certificates were legal.

Are you planning on suing Casilda? In front of the Supreme Court? 🍿
Eurovision is just television. And these moderators? They’re the same old crowd, and frankly, the community doesn't want them anymore either. I don't know how much clearer it needs to get.
Here’s the bottom line: people aren't following the rules regarding the Eurovision PDF, opting instead for mindless copy-pasting and spamming comments that offer zero actual value to the discussion.

And don't act like you're oblivious, because this exact same nonsense has been dragging on for years across this entire forum; it’s just that your own stubbornness has finally backfired and hit you right where it hurts: Eurovision.
