Is it really just Domantis?

It's done. I've received the credentials and email from Visionary, just like we settled in our private messages. I didn't have the chance to give you a heads-up before the changes went through because administration beat me to the punch. 😁

1) Saying "you aren't clean" isn't particularly polite, but let's be real—it isn't an insult. A true insult would have been getting carded and immediately deleted before you even had a chance to see it, so quit whining.

2) Stop implying that I think calling someone "fat" is acceptable. I have never actually said that to anyone in my life. But when it comes to a politician—one of those people laughing in our faces while their hands are deep in our pockets... sorry, not sorry, if someone is going to call them that, why shouldn't they? Is she fat? Yes. Is she a corrupt bureaucrat? Yes. It might not be pretty, but it’s the absolute truth. Go check out what people are saying about public figures on CNN or Fox News; at least those people aren't actively robbing us blind.

3) The forum rules are explicit: insulting other members on any basis whatsoever is strictly prohibited.

4) This is a message board, not a Sunday service.

Seriously, I’m asking for a lock on this thread so we don't have to endure any more of this pathetic struggling and these desperate attempts to shift blame onto everyone except themselves.

It is an absolute disgrace what she and people like her are doing to this country and to those citizens who haven't yet fled for their lives.

Since I don't involve myself in politics, I see no reason to throw insults at our politicians. If I actually participated, I’m certain I would be even more vitriolic than this outrage—which, for the record, wasn't even my own commentary. (Though I will gladly take full credit for the bit about the lazy cops 😁).
Still, I understand why people feel the need to speak out like that, just as the moderators on the political forums do.

And as for that explanation regarding the warnings—something I had completely forgotten about—you're clearly trying to use it now just to patronize me. It won't work. It isn't my responsibility, nor is it my job, to draw out a concept that you either refuse to accept or are simply incapable of grasping.
Furthermore, it certainly isn't your job to lecture the moderators on how to enforce the rules.

And for the record, I am NOT forcing my opinion on anyone, no matter how much it seems like I'm repeating myself. Honestly, that guy hawker does the exact same thing—he just keeps droning on about how "Sony is better and it's obvious to everyone," and he does it so aggressively without any actual facts that people have literally asked him if he's a total Sony fanboy. Not me, though—other people are asking him.

You've officially got me riled up, and honestly, that's all there is to it.

Oh, Megan Green72, please. 🤦
Partials in Feedback & Suggestions ·
@Megan Green72, sure, I could say that every single politician in America is just a pack of idiots sharing the collective IQ of an amoeba, and that the only thing they actually need training for is how to be transported to Alcatraz.
And then there’s that woman—I can't even remember her name—who was running over kids while driving without a license; she's nothing but a bloated, entitled bureaucrat. If the cops on duty actually modeled their behavior after someone like her, nobody in this country would be driving faster than a turtle.

But if I were to write something like that about any member on this forum, I’d probably lose my account in a heartbeat.
Calling out a forum user for being shady isn't an insult. But if someone calls you an autistic moron? Well, that's when you get banned. It is what it is.

Stop with the spin and the constant digging through everything just to try and save your own skin.

Despite your seemingly infallible sense of sophistication, I find myself compelled to point out that you are fundamentally incorrect regarding Megan Green72.
The individual is defending a personal stance... which is a direct violation of our community guidelines, and the rules remain quite explicit...

No, Jerry Robinson56. Defending a viewpoint isn't the issue here, nor is it against the forum guidelines to stand by what you believe.

The actual problem arises when someone starts aggressively imposing their opinion on everyone else and badgering anyone who dares to disagree. It happens constantly. Over and over again. "Why are you contradicting me if you actually agree with me?" Or, if you don't agree, they just insist that you *should* think exactly like they do. It’s an endless, exhausting cycle of the same repetitive nonsense.

The most tragic part of all this is that you still seem perfectly fine with how you're acting.

No, it isn't mandatory for everyone to agree with your little theory that the competition has arrived and totally eclipsed this specific model. And no, they don't all have to share your opinion that the price tag is way too high—though, to be fair, in this instance, absolutely nobody has argued otherwise. But nobody. (I know, I'm using far too many negatives here, but whatever).

Look, people aren't obligated to side with you, and even when they do, they're still allowed to discuss things (or just type out endless nonsense).

Honestly, I feel like I should be holding your hand and slapping some sense into you, telling you "no, you can't act like that," after I've already issued countless warnings to everyone—and specifically to you—to stop this behavior.

Whoever needed to be penalized has been penalized; yes, the person who told you that you weren't being honest also had another post removed and sanctioned, and I am certainly not going to go around swinging an axe at people just because they lost their cool due to your constant provocations.

Furthermore, I won't punish people for past mistakes if they are behaving appropriately now. You’ve gone and triggered yet another wave of drama, and since your previous behavior has been under intense scrutiny, you have effectively earned this partial ban all by yourself. Nobody else is responsible for what's happening to you right now.

The issue isn't the debate itself, but rather the manner in which it's being conducted and this relentless insistence on forcing a single viewpoint onto everyone else.

It doesn't matter that everyone agreed that the new Sony is overpriced; they also have to admit it's overpriced relative to its actual value. That’s how Megan Green72 sees it, and she’ll happily drone on about it indefinitely.

Megan Green72 said:My entire argument rests on the fact that paying over $2,000 for a 55" OLED is too much. By doing so, you're practically admitting I'm right, since $1,200 tells a completely different story—even if you still found that high, it would be far more reasonable.
Now that we've cleared that up...

Megan Green72 said:I'm a fan of Sony and love their models, but I honestly think the A9 is way too expensive for what it offers, especially since it has one major flaw that, for me personally, is a dealbreaker (to borrow a phrase).

Megan Green72 said:No one disputed that. My point is that it doesn't provide enough value for that price; or, to say it plainly, the price-to-performance ratio is abysmal.
Or perhaps I should put it this way: it simply isn't good enough (and in some areas, it's actually worse) to justify such a massive price gap compared to the competition.

Megan Green72 said:Spending over $2,000 on a 55" model is extremely poor value because I don't believe it offers enough extra features to justify the cost.
Once again, the price-to-performance ratio is terrible.

If only it were the last time, we wouldn't be in this mess. But of course, it isn't...

Megan Green72 said:Can we finally wrap up this pointless debate and just admit that the A9 is overpriced? It’s exactly what I argued from the very beginning.

Megan Green72 said:It’s a bit of a mixed bag; while the color accuracy and shading are arguably superior in certain aspects, it falls significantly short in others—specifically regarding the lack of HDMI 2.1 support. There is simply no way to justify a price tag that steep..
I have already made my position on Sony perfectly clear in previous posts; one really only needs to go back and read them.

Megan Green72 said:I honestly can't tell what we're even arguing about anymore—are you all seriously trying to claim that this price tag is actually justified and that the value proposition is somehow decent?

Megan Green72 said:Honestly, you just seem hell-bent on contradicting me at every single turn. What exactly does it mean when you disagree with my assessment that this A9 model is overpriced for what it actually delivers? Are you genuinely making a point, or are you just contrarian for the sake of having a conversation? 🙂

And one last thing to sweeten the deal:

Megan Green72 said:Whether one model is objectively superior is a matter of debate; frankly, it seems C9 holds its own and even outshines the competition in certain areas. I have maintained from my very first post that the price tag simply does not justify the value provided. Since I have made that position crystal clear and you continue to argue against me, it is obvious we aren't seeing eye to eye, so let’s just take the easier route here.
Do you honestly believe the price tag justifies what they actually delivered with the A9 model? Yes or no.
Not me.

And just like that, the pages keep turning, the pressure on everyone involved continues to mount, and naturally, the tempers start flaring and the shouting begins.

I asked you quite nicely to stop this behavior. This is such a blatant example of derailment that it belongs in an encyclopedia of internet culture—specifically a "Troll Edition," if one even exists. If it doesn't, someone needs to write it under the chapter titled, "How to completely ruin a forum thread while pretending to be the good guy."

I apologize if I missed any specific quotes along the way—truth be told, I know I did—but I’ve reached my limit and simply cannot deal with this anymore. In my view, what I've provided here was more than sufficient.

And that serves as yet another stellar example of your lackluster contributions to any discussion regarding AV technology.

I’m requesting a lock again.

edit: And no, digging up old posts from the archives isn't going to change the decision regarding the partial layoffs, because it has absolutely nothing to do with what's happening right now, nor does it excuse your aggressive, pit bull behavior.

woobie, the partial credit isn't being held up by a single post. Partial credit is based on total contributions to a specific subforum, and I wanted to let you know it was just activated a moment ago.
If the administration has any objections, they'll step in.

As far as I'm concerned, feel free to lock this.
All settled.

While we wait for the admins to step in and handle this, let me offer a little clarification.

You don't need to be outright rude, use profanity, or hurl insults to stir up chaos on this forum. Those who communicate that way will find themselves banned much faster than the polite users who simply provoke conflict with everyone except their small circle of like-minded friends.

Given your track record of warnings, I’d say your continued presence on this entire site—not just the Audio Tech subforum—is actually up in the air; you constantly bait people and trigger these outbursts.

Here is the final post in the thread, where I have bolded the sections where you are being anything but subtle in your trolling of other members.

David Parker93 said:A little bit of basic decency wouldn't hurt you; you're starting to lose your cool.

I never stated that *you* claimed the AG9 was a higher tier; I was merely commenting on how the debate ignited immediately following my own post regarding better processors, superior tiers, and those "magical" panels that supposedly only work for LG. You jumped into the argument without any clear purpose. If you truly agree that the AG9 is overpriced for what it offers, then I apologize, but I fail to see why you insist on writing these endless, rambling walls of text if you actually agree with me? What is the point?

I respect your opinion that the differences between models are visible even in a retail store, though I personally believe those discrepancies stem from certain biases and how things are calibrated or positioned on the showroom floor.

Let's not forget how you quoted TBF1D-a earlier and then inserted a cropped quote from an entirely different user, making it look like you were multi-quoting TBF1D-a. That alone warrants a penalty, though I haven't issued a formal warning yet.

While we wait for the moderators, please read this thread, and then perhaps practice some restraint here.
And over here, there is some quite interesting reading material.

I will send you a private message once the suspension takes effect. After six months, you can request to have it lifted, but whether or not they grant that will depend entirely on the quality of your conduct on the forum in the meantime.

Take a look at the third post in this thread
you have to contact the profile where the issue actually exists, obviously.
Apollo is getting it sorted out.
Well, we finally figured out what the issue is.

In one very significant way, the European Union subforum differs from every other section you've posted in so far; specifically, only Moderators, Super Moderators, and the Administrator are permitted to start new threads there.

You can always reach out ball, and she'll get a thread started if there's actually a need for it.
Nickname change (read first post!) in Forum Help! ·
In my opinion, you actually have a great username.
But if you’re truly that unhappy with it, just go ahead and open a new profile with a completely different handle and keep posting from there. You don't even have many posts and aren't particularly active anyway, so it won't be an issue if you just move over to a clone account.
So, you can access the politics section just fine, but starting a new thread is where things break down? Please, try creating a topic over in another sub-forum on the politics board instead.
Also, could you please test this out in some other part of the forum entirely, away from the politics section?

I need these details so I can provide a precise description of the issue to the Administrator, because as far as I can tell, there isn't any restriction placed on your account within the politics section.
