Jerry Robinson56, trying to prove "the truth" isn't going to be an endless cycle, not even in this thread. It’s exhausting, it's repetitive, and it inevitably devolves into blatant insults that drive people away from the forum. Once I decide you've said all there is to say, I'm cutting the cord.
I’ve only been on this forum for two days, and while everything is still fresh to me, quite frankly, the constant arguing and nitpicking over testing protocols is already getting on my nerves.
I can restore your post, but only if we strip out the problematic section—if you're okay with that. I'll be keeping the original version available for the administration to review, so if they decide you weren't actually insulting colleagues who hold opposing views, feel free to appeal the warning.
But let me be clear: you're applying the exact same logic here as you always do, and in this instance, I don't see any real difference between this and nearly all your previous warnings and appeals. At least, none of the ones I've personally read over the years.
By the way, on the desktop version, there are links to the forum threads on the left side, but when I switch over to a mobile browser like Safari, they completely vanish.
I appreciate the kind wishes, but I’m going to have to decline your gentlemanly offer. I am perfectly capable of looking out for myself. 😉
I truly hope those good intentions extend beyond today's ban, and I trust they will persist even after the inevitable future ones that follow whenever you decide to insult your opponents.
You don't know me, yet I've been forced to study your entire body of work here on PŽK because, in my capacity as a moderator, I have to keep an eye on this subforum. Consequently, your modus operandi is crystal clear to me: a pattern of intelligent discourse interspersed with insults, and it's obvious you have no intention of stopping. Given that this exact cycle has repeated itself for years upon years, and seeing as you clearly understand exactly why one receives a sanction, I see no reason to keep pointing out the obvious. You aren't going to change, so we shall simply see how our interactions proceed from here.
On a separate note, I would kindly ask everyone—not just the participants in this thread, but those in adjacent ones and all newcomers alike—to refrain from gossiping about Tim Cook or any other members of this community. I don't know you people, and frankly, you aren't doing yourselves any favors by making such first impressions.
Yeah, but they’ve got nearly 200 posts under their belt. Plus, they've held a few different names before now. Jerry Williams31 can't change their handle because of the site rules, so this second option works just fine.
No. And don't even bother asking why, because that would only prove you didn't bother reading the initial post—an obligation you should have fulfilled before ever thinking about posting a question.
Regarding all those complaints about the technical state of this forum, you might want to take a look at the advice offered in the last reply of this thread.
Since more and more major global tech giants are finally recognizing the sheer danger being spread by anti-vaxxers across the globe, they’ve started purging their content entirely. We're seeing companies pull their funding, while Facebook and Instagram are following suit with bans. It is high time this little forum follows that same path. Pure madness has begun to take hold, and we need to contain it before it spreads further.
GoFundMe is banning anti-vaxxers Indiegogo is banning anti-vaxxers Facebook is disabling anti-vax advertisements and making it harder to access information regarding anti-vax misinformation Instagram has begun banning anti-vax content
Ultimately, that's up to the owner of the Reddit community, and frankly, he hasn't shown even the slightest hint of interest in handling that—nor does he seem to care about any other pressing matters, for that matter. So... 🤷
The ban on insults applies directly to the forum members, whether you personally agree with it or not.
I am simply explaining how the system behind this rule actually operates. I have no interest in commenting on anything else, as politics isn't my subforum and I don't have access to deleted posts anyway.
Personal attacks against fellow members aren't allowed here and will be penalized. Criticizing public political figures is permitted—to a certain extent—and won't result in sanctions; though, I honestly find it highly debatable whether calling a "bloated, taxpayer-funded bureaucracy" constitutes an insult or just a brutally realistic description of the situation.
However, repeatedly circling back to the exact same topic after a thread has already been closed? That will absolutely get you sanctioned.
