I mean, I guess medicine here in America is just kind of... subpar overall... 🙂

Rhapsody, Kamelot, Wutherine Hights, DragonForce, Pyramaze, Burning Point, Running Wild, Blind Guardian, Vanishing Point. That's what comes to mind right now, though I might add more later. (Not necessarily in order, even if Rhapsody is my top pick.) I didn't include any Black metal or other stuff since we're talking about Heavy metal (power metal) themes here.🙂
So, come on, guys—is any of this actually any good?

just spamming a pointless thread.

Anyway—just as a side note—I'm a woman, so those claims about this being "gay metal" don't really bother me the way they might guys...
Jerry Thompson said:I don't mean that Hollywood metal stuff😛 😛 😁

Has anyone heard of bands like Rhapsody in Blue? Like... DragonForce, or Wuthering Heights?
rapidowl81 said:it happens to me too... I'll be sitting there telling myself, 'don't cry, just don't cry, think about something else, anything else...' but then the tears just start flowing anyway... like little rivers😍

There are plenty of all sorts of people here, so I figured I'd see what you guys think about this...
I'm reading The New York Times right now and saw a headline saying some Seka Aleksić is the new "queen of NFL fans"😵... apparently, she packed 3,000 people into a concert in Miami.
Man, it feels like you can't escape this pop-country/folk stuff anymore...
I wonder what's so appealing about that kind of entertainment? It used to be that this music was just for certain types—you know, the guys with massive gold chains hanging from their necks, coming out of the rougher parts of town. Mostly construction workers from Canada, Gypsies (not trying to be derogatory toward anyone there), Janjevce, and so on.
But lately, it seems like literally everyone is into it...
It’s almost impossible to go out to a party nowadays without someone cranking up some loud, twangy track and having the whole room lose it. You hear trashy country songs playing from cars at every turn...
I'll head down to a local neighborhood bar one night and they're blasting total garbage. And it's crazy—just kids, maybe 16 to 19 years old... they all know every single lyric by heart...
It's basically become normal to end up in an Asylum, a Pasha club, or whatever else by 4 or 5 in the morning...
I mean... I'd actually love it if a fan of this stuff could explain it to us.
Maybe I'm just slow, or maybe I just don't get it... What is the draw? I've lost count of how many times I've heard, "If you want to hook up this weekend, go to a Pasha..." 😵
Look, I'm not dismissing it entirely... you can occasionally find some decent lyrics or a catchy melody😬 but honestly, 90% of it feels like pure hillbilly nonsense—just low-brow, mindless fluff... 😢
The lyrics are so dumb they make your head spin... choruses written by someone with an IQ of 22...
I don't know... I have this good friend who hosts these drinking parties at his place, and then around 2 AM... he starts playing this exact kind of music. 😢

Ever since I was little, I cried quite a bit—my parents were always there to give me a hug and comfort me... mostly over silly things, I guess.
When I grew up and started school, I was still crying over nonsense; sometimes my dad would lose his cool and yell at me to stop crying right then, but that usually just made me cry even more.
Now that I'm in college, I still find myself tearing up pretty often... sometimes because I feel like I can't handle something, or maybe just because I hit the first obstacle in my way.
You might think I'm some weak, quiet, or shy person, but actually... it's the opposite. I'm pretty determined—once I start something, I finish it (even if I cry a million times)—and I'm super stubborn and usually the loudest one in the group.
The crying itself isn't necessarily the issue, but what bothers me most is that unlike other people who can deal with work stress and then come home to vent, I can't really do that. If someone close to me says something hurtful, I burst into tears instantly; if I fail a test, I cry immediately; if I don't understand something, the tears start... and it just goes on and on.🙂
And if someone tries to comfort me, the tears just flow even harder... I only really calm down once I've gotten away from everyone.
Is there some logical reason for this, or am I just a total mama's girl? 😢
Am I stuck whimpering like this for the rest of my life?
What's the best move here? I know I'm crying over trivial stuff, but I still can't seem to control the tears...
