Here’s the breakdown: Charming guys? They’re ugly. Hot guys? They aren't charming. The hot and charming ones? They’re gay. The hot, charming, and straight ones? They’re already married. Men who aren't that hot but are actually charming usually have zero money. Men who aren't that hot, but are charming and actually have money, think we're only interested in their bank accounts. Hot guys with no money are out there chasing ours. Hot guys who lack charm—and are at least somewhat straight—won't even give us the time of day. Guys who actually flirt with you, while also being straight and having money, usually turn out to be total pushovers. The guys who look decent, are charming, have money, and are, thank God, straight, are typically too shy and won't make the first move. And if a guy never makes the first move, you'll automatically lose interest in him if you're the one to approach him first.
depra really got the better of me tonight... hope you guys aren't feeling the same way. found a few things online that might give you a laugh.
COSMO'S GUIDE FOR MEN: How to stay modern and politically correct—basically, how to talk about women without sounding like a sexist.
1. She isn't "HOT" or a "TOTAL SLUT," she’s a BALANCED INDIVIDUAL OF THE FEMALE SEX. 2. She isn't "EASY" or "LOVES TO GET LAID," she’s SOCIABLE AND SEXUALLY EXTRAVERTED. 3. She isn't "STUPID" or a "DUMB BITCH," she’s DATA-PROCESSING IMPAIRED. 4. She isn't "AIRHEADED" or "HOLLOW," she’s DISINCLINED TOWARD CONTEMPLATION. 5. She isn't "DRUNK AS A SKUNK," she’s SIGNIFICANTLY CHEMICALLY INTOXICATED. 6. She wouldn't "SCREW YOU RIGHT AWAY," she’s CURRENTLY SEXUALLY FOCUSED. 7. She doesn't have "SILICONE TITS," she’s MEDICALLY ESTHETICIZED AND PHYSICALLY ENHANCED. 8. She isn't a bitch, she’s COMPLETELY UNFETTERED AND ACCESSIBLE. 9. She doesn't have a "GREAT ASS," she’s POSTERIORLY SUPERIOR AND NATURALLY GIFTED. 10. She doesn't have "A MUSTACHE" and isn't "A MAN," she’s in CONSTANT CONTACT WITH THE MASCULINE PORTION OF HER NATURAL PERSONALITY. 11. She doesn't "COOK TRASH," she’s GASTRONOMICALLY UNCONSCIOUS AND MICROWAVE-ORIENTED.
I don’t know if I’ll ever actually meet someone interesting here by some stroke of luck, but there is something nice about being on an American forum where nobody knows my face. It’s relaxing to be able to vent about my problems without worrying about people pointing fingers or laughing at me behind my back, you know? Anyway, long story short: There are definitely fewer idiots here than in my day-to-day life.
Hmm... honestly, none of them. Just because a thread has a ton of replies doesn't mean it's actually good. Maybe someone just posted some total nonsense and everyone is tearing them apart? I don't know. None of these posts really do it for me.
After spending a little time hanging out on this forum, I’ve realized that this sub actually only has about 1% lonely people in it. And most of them are guys who spend their time telling everyone else, "Hey, being single isn't even that bad," while they're clearly in long-term relationships themselves. It's pretty ridiculous. I know what actual loneliness feels like—it’s heavy. I know I won't feel truly happy until I find someone. Then I hear: "Just get out there and meet someone." Give me a break... I'm just not that lucky. And then you have some guy who’s been with the same partner for twenty years trying to lecture me on why being alone isn't a big deal. Like, give me a break... I'm basically just talking to myself at this point. Anyone up for coffee? I'm heading to the kitchen to make some right now because this whole thing is driving me crazy.☕
Oh well... just a suggestion. No matter how much my confidence has taken a hit lately, I still have enough left in me to pull a piece together and start some kind of rant. It probably won't land perfectly, but hey, you never know, right? I just wanted to help, nothing more. Take care.
I’ve been thinking about a suggestion for the admins: what if we had a dedicated sub-forum for things like "Looking for someone"? I think it would actually be pretty useful. A lot of us show up here every single day dealing with that "lonely heart" situation... Male, 22, 6'1", 185 lbs, green eyes, black hair, looking for a match... Something like that. You might actually find a match who reaches out via DM, and honestly, it would probably cut down on all those random "I'm so lonely" posts floating around. Also, since people hang out here daily, it would be cool to have a space to organize meetups for coffee or something. People tell me I’m not the social type, haha... Maybe this is all just nonsense, but there's at least a 1% chance it could work out well, right?
Yeah, I get it. You spend days on end with someone, and it just becomes part of who you are. When you're down, there’s always someone there to pull you up. You soak up every bit of that closeness, but then one day, it’s all gone, and you’re left feeling more empty than you ever thought possible. It happens. As for me, I spend my days at the local coffee shop... every single day from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. I still haven't found much purpose in it.
My night is winding down, and honestly? I’m feeling incredible. Everything went perfectly—had a few drinks, met someone cute, just a solid time all around. My only regret? Why didn't I bring my camera? 😁 Anyway, my doctor’s advice actually worked wonders..👍 Right now, I'm just nursing a little nausea with some sparkling water and a pile of tangerines. Final verdict after everything? I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat! 😁
Olivia Lopez41 said:..to cheer me up, my doctor gave me some medical advice: "Stop being a jerk and go outside and grab a drink." And yeah, he really is a doctor (well, in a few months anyway).. haha So I geared up, had three shots, grabbed a bottle of wine, and headed out to the WAVED party.. Hehe.. I can already see myself doing this again tomorrow.. Time to cure this funk and just let it all go. C`ya 😁
The fact that you still love him is the real kicker. I honestly don't know how to help, but maybe time will do its thing? You know what they say: "Time heals all wounds." I’m going through the exact same thing right now. Hang in there. Best,
