What's the deal with Jamiroquai? in Music ·
Ugh, I don't even know what to say about unknown...

Giving this a +3...

Honestly, just save the bad music for some random party and don't ruin the one with an absolutely killer lineup..

I’d much rather catch them playing live than listen to them at home, because their live band is actually pretty solid..

Megan Peterson87, go check it out, you might actually dig it👍

I'm gonna head out for a bit.. 😎

Roger Hall15 said:There’s just no such thing as authority. 🙂

It’s all just liars. Honestly, I think the ones who act the most authoritative are actually the biggest frauds. 😬
But, man, there’s something even worse than that.

Well, 👍

I mean, I voted for life, but that’s hardly an authority—it feels more like you're just a teammate in the process. 🙂
Was Walt Disney actually a director? in Movies ·
When you're putting an animated feature together, the lead animator—which used to be the case with Disney—is usually basically acting as the director too.

Hey, I’ve been seriously getting into this whole tea thing lately. I’ve just been sitting here, really savoring different varieties—mostly some high-end Indian blends and classic English brews. It’s become my little daily ritual, trying something new every single day... 🙂

I guess I could probably get used to 🙂this lifestyle

Jessica Wright said:So, apparently 🙂 🙂

Like, I can't even have some sparkling water for a couple more days? Are you kidding me? 😢

The doctor says no... Well, actually, he did say I could have a little bit tomorrow or the day after, that it might even be good for me 🙂 but today and tonight? Absolutely not.

Jessica Wright said:Do you actually run a fever when you have Salmonella?

Some people online are claiming you don't, but I'm trying to check the CDC website right now and it just won't load for some reason.😠

Jessica Wright said:Well, maybe it’s close for you, I guess.😁 I was just at the CVS, for crying out loud, I could have grabbed it for you if I felt like it.🙂

Honestly, I swear I might actually lose it if I get any more worked up, I'm trying so hard not to just pass out right here on the sidewalk.🤣

I know you’d probably go to the ends of the earth for me if you could.😘 🙂

club delicious said:The incubation period for Salmonella can be up to 72 hours, so you might not feel it right away. I’m just telling you what I honestly think you should do—go see a doctor, at least to get an IV drip. You aren't going to be able to drink enough fluids to make up for everything you're losing through vomiting or... well, other ways.

Ugh, well... things were actually fine for a day and a half, then the vomiting started😢 then I tried to fix myself with some Pepto-Bismol, then some Kool-Aid, and now I'm stuck with this.😢

Dee, please don't start scaring me about Salmonella right now😲

Grace Flores85 said:Stop messing around with that, it could be Salmonella (you don't necessarily need a fever for gastroenteritis). Is it really that hard to just go see a doctor?😢

God, I hope it's nothing serious, but seriously, don't play games and risk getting dehydrated.

Oh, it's definitely something, considering I'm still basically roommates with my toilet every thirty minutes.

I highly doubt it's salmonella; if it were, I wouldn't have felt this much better after two days... at least, from what I know.🙂

nimblegull23 said:Hey, look, regarding the charcoal—it's basically just tablets, kind of like taking an aspirin but black. It’s honestly not even gross to take; you just dissolve it in some water and knock it back. It can actually help because it absorbs all those toxins... I guess that's why they call it "activated."😁

So, what, does it just come right back up after you throw up or something?

Muter says he won't let me go grab that charcoal, claiming my doctor would probably tell me not to... 😢

So what, am I supposed to just sneak into a CVS or something? 😁

Does any pharmacy actually stock this? And if they do, what's the damage going to be on my wallet?

I don't know, milk just doesn't really appeal to me right now... 😁

I mean, I know about Coca-Cola, damn it, I'm such a clueless idiot 🙂 But, man, it’s been two whole days since that absolute hell started, and I honestly thought things were getting better, like I could actually...

I called my doctor, and the guy was super strict—said absolutely NOTHING for now, and maybe after a few more days I can switch over to some plain boiled chicken, sparkling water, stuff like that...

And what kind of charcoal is that anyway? Honestly, I'm terrified to even put it in my body, seriously, I feel like my stomach is going to split right down the middle. And now, it looks like I have to go again 🙂 Dammit 😠

So there you go, my whole weekend is totally trashed. No parties, no smoking, just stuck at home with some tea and watching Hell Orange on TV (at least I've got that :klap: )

restlesspanther1, once I figure out which poisoner in Boston (address) it is, I’ll drop the link here. For God's sake, do NOT go there, even if you're losing your mind!

So, I grabbed this sketchy burger on a road trip—middle of the night, we were drunk, starving, just some random roadside stand, you know how it goes 🙂

Fast forward a day and a half, and suddenly I’m dealing with vomiting, diarrhea, and brutal stomach cramps. I spent six straight hours glued to the toilet before I finally passed out.

For the next two days, I stuck strictly to tea and saltines. I felt totally fine—so fine, actually, that last night I didn't even think twice before knocking back a couple of glasses of Coca-Cola.

Well, I woke up this morning to more cramps and more throwing up 😢 😢 😢 Everything is right back to square one. Honestly, I can't deal with this anymore 😢

How much longer am I supposed to live on nothing but saltines? And how long does it actually take before I can try eating real food again?

As for booze or cigarettes, I probably shouldn't even ask... and don't even get me started on going out to crowded places full of people...

Oh, and I don't have a fever at all, which is at least one tiny silver lining 🙂
The Manchurian Candidate in Movies ·
What was the original version like? I honestly have no idea.

Personally, I thought the movie was alright, though definitely not the best thing I’ve ever seen—it gets a little predictable in certain spots. Meryl Streep is great, obviously, but I feel like Denzel Washington could have been better 🙂
Bone density: size, thickness, and weight in Health ·

Those are definitely thick bones, I mean, there's no doubt about it. 😁

Thanks for sharing that info.

I'm standing at 5'7" myself and my measurement is 6.7 inches. 🙂

Btw, I'm assuming this applies to women? Men usually have slightly different numbers, which makes sense, I guess.

Nathan Wells45 said:I was just reading this thing where some person claims they're a certain height with a 5-inch wrist circumference and uses that to conclude they don't have a heavy bone structure.

From what I gather—and this is just a rough estimate—people with about a 5-inch wrist are on the small side, 6 inches is pretty average, and 7 inches puts you in the large frame category...

I guess those smaller-framed folks have to stay at a lower body weight to look balanced, whereas the bigger guys can carry a bit more mass and still look fine.

But again, I'm just saying, these are all just ballpark figures. 🙂
