I'm heading out to see it tomorrow, I seriously can't wait 🎉
Does anyone know if AMC Theatres charges a fee for online ticket reservations, and if so, how much is it? 😕

ilbestione said:Seriously, screw you guys, how can you even sit through movies like this?

They’re fun, and honestly, the special effects are great.
You must be some kind of die-hard fan of highbrow European cinema, I guess. 🙄 😁

I rarely expect anything more than pure entertainment from a movie. That’s its primary job, right? To ENTERTAIN ME. Period. 👍

As for Harry Potter—well, it was pretty much 👍 I binged it in one go (just like the previous three 😬), it felt super dynamic, directed quite well, and at times actually a little scary (you have to put yourself in the shoes of kids 😁). I really missed seeing Draco Malfoy and his old man Lucius Malfoy; they were definitely my 👍
I’d even go so far as to say this is the best sequel of them all 🙏

I haven't read the fourth book yet, which sucks because I usually love knowing everything before the movie comes out 🙂 I'll try to catch up this summer 😁

As long as cigarette taxes are just being used to pad the federal budget, any kind of ban is basically pointless ☕

Of course they aren't. For an Italian, grabbing a coffee actually means—well, grabbing a coffee 😁
. You just knock it back and head out.

Around here, meeting up for coffee basically means settling in for a multi-hour venting session. I mean, we’re way more intense than any Italian 😁

Well... obviously. 🙂
Is it actually true that they drag out every single isolated incident in the news just to make it look like everything is falling apart? It feels like they take one tiny thing and blow it way out of proportion just to give you this impression that the whole country is in a state of total catastrophe. 😁

I’ve had some pretty wonderful experiences with doctors myself. I mean, honestly, my primary care physician is hands down the most incredible healthcare professional I’ve ever met, and my dentist isn't far behind them either. 🙂

It’s actually kind of nice to stumble upon something like this on a thread where you're usually just bracing for everyone to start throwing shade. 🙂
But then again, I guess it's honestly pretty pathetic that people even have to make entire posts just to address how they're being treated—that kind of basic decency should be the baseline, shouldn't it?

Sarah Miller26 said:I actually dealt with nicotine poisoning myself a few years back, all because of secondhand smoke. I mean, who am I even supposed to blame among my so-called friends for landing me in the hospital?

Honestly, this is the first time I’ve ever heard of a case like that happening. I'd really appreciate it if you could go into more detail about what went down 😉

Sarah Miller26 said:The whole issue is that smokers smoke wherever they work—you just can't escape it. It happens in waiting rooms, even at the doctor's office and stuff like that.

Honestly, this isn't even about smoking, it's about basic manners.🙂
I've personally never smoked in places like that; if I ever felt the urge, I'd just step outside.
To be fair, I haven't really seen many smokers who actually ignore those "No Smoking" signs.

Ronald Jones26 said:restlessmarlin6, some kids actually use their brains. I didn't quit smoking just because it was trendy or some rebellious phase. That whole "they can either deal with it stoically or leave" attitude of yours doesn't really paint you as a particularly mature person, you know?

And I honestly don't get WHERE you're seeing anger??? I voted for the indoor smoking ban for purely selfish, personal reasons. Unlike those official explanations they give for this entire initiative, I couldn't care less about the health of the average smoker. But I DO care about my own health, which the average smoker puts at risk with all that smoke. And even if that smoke were healthy—it still stinks. It ruins my social life, 😁 so of course I’m going to fight against that smoky crap. In this case, the enemy of my enemy is my... ally, I guess.😉

To be fair, I did start smoking out of rebellion, but I don't think being a rebel means you stop thinking clearly, especially during those years when everything feels totally upside down.😁
And I’ll probably worry about it much more once I actually grow up and get serious.😳 😁

I used the term "anger" mostly as a joke (I obviously don't think you're literally fuming😉), but now I'd ask you again why you reacted so strongly to it.😁 🙂
Whatever, anyway, it's fine. I respect your stance, and I get that sometimes people just can't stomach certain things and that's that. Though, most people I meet tend to project their own traumas or issues onto everyone else, so maybe I jumped to conclusions and assumed you had some deep-seated personal reasons for being so against it (just like a few others here).
Besides, I'm actually pretty indifferent about the whole thing myself, which is why I was just messing around.🙂

Still, I don't think secondhand smoke is REALLY THAT harmful.🙂

Ronald Jones26 said:And all those "arguments" claiming if you don't like it, just deal with it or leave—that’s pure nonsense, honestly, if it weren't for the harsh reality of the situation. I really hope the cold, hard hand of reality finally hits smokers, just for once, in the form of actual restrictions. If that law actually passes, I might even consider becoming an inspector myself; nothing would give me more satisfaction than handing out fines.🙂

Did someone hit you over the head with a giant cigarette? 😕 😁
😘

Ronald Jones26, look, you have a pretty good life—you stay active, you hike mountains... Ever since I quit smoking, the number of smokers around me has dropped significantly (which is a blessing, really), and I barely even think about them anymore. Why all this rage? 😁 😉
The same question goes for all the other angry anti-smoking crusaders out there too.

Do you really think that stuff actually reaches kids? 😉
Honestly, I had it shoved in my face at least ten times growing up, and I still ended up acting like a total teenager—I mean, even nine years after I was supposed to be done with it, I still went through a whole box of it. 😁

Chris Mitchell11 said:People are way more sensitive to smoke, and smokers get harassed way more than they realize.

Look, if you're actually bothered by smoke, just don't hang out in smoky places.😉 Simple as that.
Personally, I’ve always had way more non-smoking friends than smokers, and honestly, hardly any of them ever complained; most of them just stoically dealt with my smoking.😁 That’s just how I am now.👍 If I actually started feeling like I was choking, I’d just suggest to a fellow smoker that we head outside for a stroll and finish our chat in the fresh air. I highly doubt anyone would turn me down.🙂

@Chris Mitchell11/">@@Chris Mitchell11, secondhand smoke isn't going to cause nearly as much damage as someone swinging a chainsaw around a Whole Foods aisle 😁
Besides, I’m pretty sure more people are going to drop dead from stress living in a massive city like NYC than from breathing in some smoke 🙄

Look, I don't mind being a secondhand smoker myself. Sure, it smells a bit, but you get used to it—I mean, I've been around the block when it comes to smoking over the years 😁 Plus, I don't spend nearly as much time hanging out at dive bars 👍 Anyway, I'm just happy about my own improved quality of life (not to mention all the cash I'm saving up) and honestly, I don't really care what everyone else does—they can do whatever they want 🙂

I don't know, chamomile works just fine for me.😉

It doesn't have to be this way. Honestly, I’ve been feeling worse ever since I started taking these pills, but I guess it's still somewhat tolerable 🙂
Chamomile is probably your best bet 👍 Though, if things get really nasty, a solid painkiller might help too 😉
