Just one 😁 Get a cleaning crew in there and you're basically done 😉 Seriously, feel free to reach out if you decide to go for it. I guess it might be worth it for any other curious folks out there too 😉
There are a handful of schools in the NYC area, but I don’t actually attend any of them—I’ve got my own private arrangement 😁 with a guy who really knows his stuff. We just get together and put in the work.
If you're interested, you should totally come by and check it out 😉 Plus, there are plenty of other crews training at local clubs, like the ones run by Majhen and Rostohar.
Learning a new skill shouldn't feel like such a massive grind, even if you're just starting out from scratch; I mean, honestly, it really just comes down to whether or not you actually have the drive to stick with it. 😉 Having some extra weight on you isn't even a big deal, especially if you use that mass to actually learn how to move and work properly.
Plus, skills vary pretty wildly. I’m definitely no expert on all of them, but I'd imagine you wouldn't run into much trouble at all without having mastered a single one yet. 🙂
P.S. So, tell me, who exactly were you planning on taking down? 😬

Down at the local market, near the entrance to the old district, there’s this guy with a woodworking stall (just to the left of where you enter the main plaza). He’s got these grabbers and sticks—pretty sturdy stuff, too. He tells me he can trim them down to whatever length I need, and they go for about 10-$5.00 👍
I think I'm gonna grab one of those and see if they actually hold up better than the ones from the big-box stores.
Sandra Hayes88 said:So, I guess I have to ask... why on earth is it considered "healthy" to basically starve yourself for the rest of the day? Like, seriously, what’s the logic there?😕
Look, I know my own body better than anyone else does, and honestly, I just know what works for me. If I say my system needs this, then that's exactly what it needs. Dammit, every single night, the hunger demon takes over my soul. 🤣
Sometimes, if I haven't stayed up way too late and actually have a moment to myself, I try to get this done as often as possible, but it’s not always easy to make it happen 😁
Lately, I’ve been leaning more toward fruit or maybe some multigrain toast with honey spread on it 👍 I honestly think a sweet breakfast beats a savory one any day 👍 The problem is, I usually can't stomach much in the morning, so by the time an hour or two before lunch rolls around, I'm absolutely starving. 😁
I really wish I could just train my body to handle a solid breakfast and then basically eat nothing for the rest of the day; I truly believe that would be the healthiest way to go 🙂
Are you talking about actual thoughts, or just that constant swarm of intrusive ones? 🙂 The kind that make it feel like you can't even catch your breath?
Honestly, I’ve just learned how to toss them out. Any thought that isn't serving me, I just... ignore it. 🙂 The other option, though? Just hitting the gym and letting someone absolutely wreck me in a sparring session—that works just as damn well. 👍
Ugh, and yeah, to top it all off, my new nail has already started digging into the side of my toe—honestly, I never had these issues with my old ones. So, if anyone out there actually knows what they're doing, please help me out... how am I supposed to file or trim this thing while it’s growing back without making the whole situation worse? 🙂
restlessmarlin6 said:My new sneakers absolutely wrecked my big toenails over the summer.
The shape was just weird, though it didn't even hurt that much at first, so I kept wearing them without a second thought.
But then, before I knew it, my nails started turning blue... 😲
And they actually started peeling off. Luckily, the weather cooled down right when it happened, so I didn't have to go around showing off my toes in sandals.
The left one fell off completely, and there was already about a third of a new nail growing underneath. That part actually scares me a little because the growth looks kind of funky, but I’m just hoping everything turns out fine.
As for the right one, it just kept growing forward (meaning a new one wasn't growing under the old one, it just continued normally), so I just trimmed away the damaged part (which was bulging).
They've mostly grown back now, but if anything seems to get complicated, I'm heading straight to the doctor.
And those sneakers? Straight into the trash. 😠
I am officially announcing that during practice two months ago, my nail got its fair share of punishment again 😁 The left one. And man, it hurt like hell. 🙂
I was using heparin to mazati it, which probably stopped things from getting way worse since I had this nasty hematoma full of fluid (basically a giant blister) under the entire surface of the nail. It actually leaked out after a walk through town. I couldn't wear any shoes properly for a while. 🙄
After that, things calmed down, and I honestly thought it wouldn't fall off, but nope—just a few minutes ago, it finally happened. The new one is growing 😍, but it's only about a third of the way there 😢
Now, I can't remember how long it took last time, but I really hope by month six my foot looks somewhat normal 😬
This is already my fourth lost nail, and I'm only 23. 🙂 🤣
I mean, I don't know about you guys, but I’ve been sitting here staring at my screen for the last hour just... thinking. Maybe it’s the coffee, or maybe I’m just getting old, but everything feels a bit much lately, doesn't it? I guess I’m just trying to make sense of how things are moving so fast. It’s like, one minute you’re totally fine, and the next, everything is shifting under your feet. I might be overthinking this—honestly, I probably am—but there's just this feeling that we're all missing something obvious. Or maybe we're all just looking in the wrong direction? I don't know. It’s hard to say for sure without more info, but I can't shake the feeling that something is slightly off. Just an observation, I suppose. Nothing major. kaže: Does anyone know where I could pick up a higher-quality staff? Looking for something around 6 feet—maybe a solid Bo staff. So, what’s the ballpark figure we're looking at here? I mean, if anyone actually knows the approximate price, I guess they should just lay it out for us.
Furniture in Haymarket. 😁 🙂
Those sticks are solid, like $2,000 worth of gear... I mean, if that feels like overkill, you could always just stay home, crack open a drink, and spend your time sharpening them or whatever. 👍
Look, I’m totally losing my cool here, but honestly? It was fine. Things just got completely wild for a second there. 😁
So, I went through this six-month stretch dealing with intense anxiety, and honestly, the hypochondria was just part of the package. Once my psychoneurosis finally cleared up, the health anxiety just... vanished 🙂
It’s actually hard to put into words, but you get this overwhelming, terrifying conviction that you’re about to drop dead at any second. You end up fearing absolutely everything—even a tiny little headache can spiral you straight into a full-blown panic attack 😱
My late grandmother was a total emotional vampire—which, looking back, really made sense given how she was in the old days—and she spent her entire life acting like a complete hypochondriac 😁 For breakfast, she’d have her toast and margarine, followed by a red pill, a blue pill, and two white ones 😁 But here’s the kicker: she was diagnosed with leukemia in her 40s and still managed to live all the way to 75 🤣
Occasional smokers tend to end up becoming full-blown smokers more often than you'd think.😉It’s usually because they light up right when the craving hits them hard.
Those social drinkers—and I’ve definitely been there myself—are mostly just casual consumers.
