😁

And maybe you could try, I don't know, actually stopping with all this projecting for once. 😁

silentridge8 said:Oh, please... you can spot a philosopher from a mile away. They just sit there, heavy and unmoving like a sack of potatoes, offering absolutely zero entertainment. And let’s be honest—who doesn't want something actually interesting to listen to? 🙂 If nothing else, their endless monologues double as a perfect lullaby.

Well, I guess Mljacko doesn't exactly sit there like a bag of potatoes... 😍 since he happens to be incredibly engaging, sharp, charming, and well-read... 😍 🙂 plus, you could never fall asleep listening to him... he's practically the male version of Scheherazade. 😍 😁 😁

Maybe that's just because Maja is actually a guy... 😁 😉

newcomer said:So, there was this nineteen-year-old girl who basically landed the role of a lifetime... playing the daughter of a mafia boss in the third installment of The Godfather... in the first two movies, she was just kind of filling space, you know? Like, nothing major, just one of those extras in the background... and after that, she completely vanished from the acting scene... then suddenly, she pops back up as some supposed "prodigy" writing these totally incomprehensible scripts and even more nonsensical movies... does anyone actually know who she is? 😉

Man, even I’m struggling to wrap my head around this one... 😁
nimblemarlin17 said:Hmm, why though? Part of the theory is actually scientifically sound—at least regarding the relationship between space and the bodies within it, or atoms and their components. Give me an actual explanation for why my theory is completely idiotic. You can't just label something "stupid"; you have to actually philosophize a bit...😁

All I need is this...

If math and logic lead us to the conclusion that space doesn't exist, yet we know for a fact that it does, then there has to be some "something" at the highest level that creates a world of things out of nothing. All the laws of natural science, all the rules, everything.

If we know space exists, but math and logic claim otherwise... then either we don't understand math and logic, or they don't exist... or space truly doesn't exist... but we still believe in that SOMETHING... because that something simply HAS TO exist... I mean, how else would little nimblemarlin17 explain the mysteries of how the world began, space itself, the meaning of life, good vs. evil, the existence of God, etc.?

Give me a break. 😁
nimblemarlin17 said:I actually sat down and ran this whole thing by my professor an hour later—she told me it actually made sense and that the theory wasn't half bad.

So, what's the verdict?

Honestly, that teacher needs to step away from the philosophy podium immediately...

Anthony Miller28 said:Haha, nice one! You're doing great—how are things? Honestly, I don't know how you even managed to pull that out of thin air, but you might actually be onto something here. Though, I have to say... that burgundy hair color and that rug? I just can't. It’s too much for me. For me, the whole movie worked because I took it completely at face value—just pure realism, no digging for deep symbolism or overanalyzing the subtext. That was actually the best part about it for me.

Take the whole burgundy color thing—it’s not some deep, hidden metaphor or anything profound... it's just the most basic way to use visuals for storytelling. It’s exactly like how you use specific words in literature; in film, you use images. Anyway, since film is a visual medium, it doesn't really have the patience for endless rhetorical explanations. Dialogue and sound are secondary in a movie—they're there to support the vibe—but the images? That's the primary driver.

restlessviper20 said:Honestly, that whole scene with the woman in the hotel room? It wasn't even that essential to the plot.

Honestly, that woman is basically just a metaphor for how empty his life has become. Her hair is this specific shade of burgundy—the exact same color his wife serves up to him—and he just doesn't have the backbone or the willpower to say no. It’s less about her and more about the fact that he can't seem to break free from this dull, repetitive cycle that's slowly killing him. He craves something different, something real, but he always ends up right back there with boring old Burgundy. Maybe it's a lack of grit, or maybe he just believes too much in determinism... or whatever else makes sense of it all.
