Kyle Nelson2 said:It’s all just a giant money grab if you ask me... if you actually want some honest information, go talk to an ophthalmologist... someone who just examines your eyes without trying to make a commission off selling you overpriced frames and glasses

Exactly. These doctors just funnel their regulars straight into specific optical shops. They're thieves, plain and simple.

A colleague of mine bought those glasses as a preventative measure. It's useless, though, if you spend the entire day staring into a computer screen.

I thought about getting some myself, but they're hideous. I can't help it; I'm a total sucker for aesthetics.😍
Emotional Intelligence: A blessing or a curse? in Psychology ·
Jason Sanchez3, you’re pretty much run-of-the-mill in every sense, so don't sweat it... unless we're talking about how full of yourself you are. But then again, even that isn't a total dealbreaker.
Is tap water safe to drink? in Health ·
In Washington, D.C., we get water from two different sources, and the word on the street is that the Rocky Mountain supply is significantly better than what they serve over in the suburbs.

Buying those little plastic bottles is pure stupidity. But hey, when we have money to burn, we'll keep buying them.
We have perfectly good tap water right here, yet we act like fools by paying for bottled stuff!

I'm 300 lbs and need some advice in Health ·
Don't go trying to play doctor with your own metabolism; leave the diagnoses to a medical professional.

That said, you're overeating. I'm thin, so I know I'm not exactly the right yardstick here, but I'm fairly certain two bowls of stew, two drumsticks, and an extra cut of meat constitutes an excessive single meal.
And you really ought to consider how much that weight is impacting your health—it's about much more than just how you look in the mirror.
Good luck, big guy. Keep us posted on the results...

Rebecca Cox2 said:I didn't bother reading all six pages of posts, so maybe someone already mentioned this...

Look, if you were just glancing at the interview while multitasking, you probably saw a confident, intelligent young woman simply waiting for her chance to escape.

But if you actually paid attention—you saw the body language of a traumatized, terrified girl. She likely only managed to pull herself together long enough for this interview with help from a psychiatrist (though even that is questionable, given the many "cuts" in the footage). They probably told her this was the best way to process the trauma, convincing her she’s back in control and that she was "present" the whole time she was held captive. To be fair, that holds some truth—both the captor and the prisoner are trapped by the system—but that's essentially the only move psychiatrists have left after an eight-year ordeal...

I am glad she escaped, and that marks a "happy beginning," but a "happy ending" is a long way off, if it ever comes at all...

Hang in there, Natascha!👍

See, people? Even Rebecca Cox2 has abandoned her skepticism.
The girl is completely shell-shocked, which is perfectly normal considering what she endured.
I wouldn't be surprised if someone tries to claim she orchestrated her own escape, or better yet, that she was the one who took him! It's absurd.
Have you left it yet?

Pikolina said:I find it strange how pampered she seems. Her nails are perfect. She doesn't even look malnourished. How could she gain so much weight in just a few days if they started feeding her now? And she still refuses to see her parents, choosing only to speak via phone. Maybe she ran away when they were fighting. If she wasn't with that guy voluntarily, it's weird how healthy and composed she acts.
In the interview, she dropped details she couldn't possibly have known—like that bit about women in some Mexican desert. Who knows anything about that besides her? She clearly memorized a script, and those occasional stammers were just her trying to remember her lines. Nothing more. As for her hands—any normal person gets nervous in front of a camera.
The whole thing feels staged to me.

Clearly we watched different interviews.
Her nails being "perfect"???!!!!
The girl only weighs 92 pounds!

Comments like this make my skin crawl.👎

Does anyone have any insight regarding those small cysts or lumps that pop up on the wrist? They seem to be quite painful to the touch.
My sister has been struggling with this for days now.
I’ve noticed a small lump on my hand. It sits right on the top side of the wrist. It isn't particularly painful, though I do feel some discomfort in certain positions.

I need some insight here. What could this be? Should I go see a doctor about it?😕

Every single one of them is better than Cate Blanchett.

The only time she actually got under my skin was in that horror flick... I think it was called "The Others." She was practically born for that role. Seriously.

Taste is subjective, I suppose. Personally, I found it to be one of the more tedious films I've sat through.
Then again, I've never been much of a musical person, so perhaps that's my bias at work.

We aren't exactly the same size, so I apologize in advance if I miss the mark. That said, I know some of my girlfriends manage to score decent finds at Marks & Spencer and X-Nation.

You would all rather let your organs rot in the ground and feed the worms than lift a finger to help someone in need..

Yet, you’d be the first in line to demand a transplant if your own life were hanging by a thread. 😈 😈 😈

I'm with you on this. I'd love to see what these people would offer up if they suddenly needed an organ to stay alive!!!

Macron - 72 Fifth Avenue; you can actually pick some of this stuff up at regular grocery stores (Walmart), especially in the bigger shopping malls. You can even find it at CVS!
