shadowgardener12 said:What's that "bear herb" called that pops up in the spring and smells just like garlic? I know the Celtic and Roman tribes used it back in the day. I try to use it myself, but I can never seem to remember the American name for it...

It's Allium ursinum—commonly known as wild garlic.

Chives 🤣
Girls at the gym in Hobbies & Leisure ·
I hit the gym pretty consistently for a few months, but I had to call it quits because I started a new job about two months ago and my schedule is just completely slammed now. Honestly, it can feel a little awkward when you first walk in, but once you actually bond with the regulars, it’s totally fine.

I’m planning on getting back into a routine this fall, but until then—beach mode activated! 😍 😁

Eternal Brilliance of an Unstoppable Mind in Movies ·
The acting was decent enough, I guess, but the movie itself? Absolutely top-tier. I’m a sucker for a story where everything actually wraps up neatly at the end—you know, like that whole mess with the guy in the car and all those bizarre twists? It was great seeing all the pieces finally click into place and make sense.
So, it’s not enough that I have to constantly worry about whether they’re actually going to perform the incision or not; now I also have to sit here and wonder if they’re going to cut left, right, or dead center? 😲

Honestly, I feel like just calling it quits and not working at all. 😁
Susan Martin24 said:coastaldriver4, a patient's wishes aren't always what's actually best for them...

Look, I get that. Honestly, if my doctor tells me that the absolute best move for both me and my kid is to go ahead with a procedure, I’m going to tell them to do whatever they need to do. I’m not sitting here questioning their expertise! But what I really want to know is: if it isn't strictly life-or-death, can I actually tell them *not* to do it? Or does the hospital have some rigid protocol where they basically "must" perform the surgery regardless?

🙂
I mean, seriously, what’s stopping a pregnant woman from just saying she doesn't want an episiotomy? Is that even an option, or is it just standard operating procedure at our hospitals to perform them by default?
Struggling to sleep? Any tips? in Health ·
I used to deal with terrible insomnia back when I was going through one of those incredibly rough patches in my life. The second my head hit the pillow, my brain would just kick into overdrive—one problem after another spinning in my mind until dawn. Once I finally managed to sort out those major issues, I started sleeping like a baby, though I still get hit with the occasional bout of restlessness (like with 😢 lately)

Could this actually be some kind of psychological issue? Just pure stress?

* Get a solid 7-8 HOURS of sleep regularly
* Be physically active for at least 30 minutes every day
* Eat breakfast on a regular basis
* Drink about 8 glasses of water daily
* Split your daily food intake into five meals
* Avoid snacking between meals, and stay away from greasy, salty, or sugary foods
* Eat fruits and vegetables every single day
* Maintain a healthy body weight
* Steer clear of stressful situations and learn how to manage stress effectively
* Don't smoke Marlboros
* Consume alcohol in moderation or avoid it entirely

* roughly 9-10 hours
* It varies; some days I skip it, other days I pull a double workout
* Does eating around noon count as breakfast or lunch? 🤔 😁
* I drink more than that; John is my friend 😁
* Ugh, that's tough, but let's say I have 3 meals a day
* Oh, sure, want me to hand over my liver and kidneys too? 😁
* Fine, I guess that's doable
* Never! 😁
* In my neck of the woods, that's impossible
* I don't smoke 🙂
* I don't drink 🙂

Well, damn then.😁
What can I even say? You're getting old. 🙂 🙂

Jessica Wright said:The last time I had my blood drawn, my levels were at 8 (where anything from 8 to 30 is considered normal), but now they're at 35.

Honestly, I think you need to get retested. It strikes me as incredibly odd that your numbers jumped from the very bottom of the range straight past the normal limit.

Well, then you're clearly living in a fantasy world.
At this rate, I might as well start sucking on a radiator just to feel something.

Are we talking about that crazy, chain-smoking mad scientist type? 😛

As for me, 😁 I think my vitamin situation is fine. At least, I assume it is. I take a multivitamin every single morning. 🙂
Blood in Health ·
... from my nose 😁

So... I’ve got a bit of an issue. Lately, when I wake up in the morning, I’ve been dealing with nosebleeds. Well, maybe "bleeding" isn't the right word—it's more like my nose feels totally stuffed up, and when I go to, you know, blow 😁 a little blood comes out with it.
The real problem is that this keeps happening more and more frequently. It’s not like anything hurts, I don't have any congestion 😁, and I'm not even on any medications.
What could be causing this? Is it stress, a lingering cold, nerves, or just the dry winter air?
And how can I get this to stop or, better yet, get rid of it entirely? 🙂

It's been so long since I started a new thread that I actually forgot how this works! 😁

Oh, give me a break... of course it works! 😳

And you two... wow... 🙂

It would be too much to ask for just one single thread to pass without someone turning it into a damn chat room, wouldn't it? 😁

I am about to lose my mind here! 😁

Can one of the admins—or honestly, anyone with actual authority—please fix this? I keep getting an email notification every single time someone replies to a thread I’ve participated in. I’ve already gone into my settings and updated my preferences, but the damn emails just keep coming regardless.

I am seriously running out of patience with having to manually delete these every single day. 😁

Thanks, 😬
