vividcanyon2 said:what kills me most is when I bring an X-ray to the doctor and they ALWAYS hold it upside down 😵 before going, ''ahhh, yeah, looks like you cracked your right collarbone!'' (got bit by a dog). and I always have to tell them, ''nah, it was the left one.'' 🙄

ahaha, too real 🤣
I show up with an X-ray of my pathetic right thumb from jumping into a pool, and this guy starts wrapping my left ankle. I tell him it's not the ankle, and he just goes, "shush, I know what I'm doing." Fantastic.

After that, I just hopped on the first bus to Cleveland and headed straight for an orthopedic clinic in Bar Harbor.

Wait, what happened to those keys?
left here said:lol, okay, and who else deserves the same status? A B.S. engineer? Who knows, maybe once he gets his PhD he can cut in front of me at Chase Bank.

Sorry, but this is total bullshit. You get that doctorate just by finishing school, the same way pharmacists get their masters and everyone else gets their degree. And now you're actually getting worked up thinking your degree is somehow better than everyone else's?!

brightridge19 said:Just a list of random, nonsensical reasons why I instantly vibe with people, regardless of anything else. And yeah, I know I might mess this up. 😬

1. Liking Calvin & Hobbes (hardest one to screw up, but still...)
2. Liking miso soup
3. Only using closed polylines in AutoCAD—never even touching the line command for a simple point A to point B stretch.
4. Not wearing a watch or just being late.😍

I check all four boxes. 🥳

My absolute favorite trait in a person:
1. Cynicism.

Nicholas King62 said:The most hated thing about AutoCAD users:

Not cleaning up your layers before sending a file to someone else. Absolute death. 🙂

People who put everything—like load-bearing walls and furniture—on the exact same layer and then just change the color to tell them apart. Hate it.

Back to my usual routine of deleting everything. Turns out I spent the whole week listening to magazine 63 put. 🙄

David Sullivan4 said:even a pro athlete couldn't pull that off, now I see him limping down Broadway every single day...

Man, look who he thinks he's comparing me to. 🙂

David Sullivan4 said:How do you even manage to be such a wreck? You just go around breaking bones and crushing people like some kind of absolute menace.

Yeah, whatever. You know I can't just sit still—I've always got to be bouncing around somewhere.

I mean, I’ve definitely had those moments where you jerk your neck hard because you didn't pull the handle quite right, and then your whole body just keeps flying forward into an empty room... pure momentum.

Daniel Bailey7 said:What?
I once threw my neck out so bad in my sleep that I had to hit up the ER just to get a painkiller shot for a pinched nerve, but THIS... 😵

I’m already used to it, but now everyone's acting like it's a big deal... got my printer toner, some Advil, and a pack of Budweiser arriving this evening. 😁

Reminded me of Willard's song:

I'd give a whole lot of America,
everything in this world I'd give,
just to sit out on the porch,
playing cards and drinking beer while counting my winnings.

Nicholas Perez33 said:I hate when you lay on your arm and cut off the circulation until it goes numb😠

Yeah, that moment in the morning where you wonder what kind of ice-cold corpse is sleeping next to you, only to realize it’s just your own hand. Ideally, you've already punched it against the wall before realizing.

But this is way worse... I'm gonna be walking around like my door is stuck shut for a week. And it hurts. 🙂

This actually tops my legendary wipeout where I fell off my rollerblades while standing perfectly upright. I managed to flip myself without even falling while just doing some light stretching. I was stretching my neck, felt something snap, and now I can't turn my head and I'm stuck wearing a cervical collar... 😢

Seriously, give me an award for the most moronic way to get injured. 🙂
Lawrence Robinson11 said:...so you're saying doctors have this high status when they actually deserve a much lower one? Is that it?
Or are they just lower on the totem pole?! Good grief, and here I am being an arrogant doctor.

Why are you twisting my words? They shouldn't have "low" status, they should just be more level with people who earned it just as much. No reason for them to be pulling such a massive lead compared to everyone else today.

Regarding which major is harder, it would be great if you'd studied both so you could actually compare. But since debating college difficulty is pointless, I guess you didn't go, right?

Joe Biden, you were the first one to claim it's way harder to finish med school than engineering or architecture. Did you study both, or what?

vividcanyon2 said:4. went to a punk show at the local fire station, ended up taking a wrong turn, and we all just tumbled headfirst into this massive, invisible mud pit along with our umbrellas. My friend was acting all proud because she managed to pull off a somersault—something even a heavy-duty 😬 umbrella couldn't handle—but then she wiped out when she tripped over me sitting on the ground (she didn't see 🙄 ) and landed right on my umbrella 😢

Reminds me of another one... some buddies and I were rolling down a muddy hill after a party in Chicago. Best part? We hitched a ride with some fancy Jeep carrying three people, and there I was, covered in filth, sitting in a total stranger's lap.

If those are actually your friends, tell them we're sorry and that one little mishap isn't a reason to stop hitchhiking 😬

The most brutal rocks on the planet. Every single one is about three feet high, and there's just too many of them.

Honestly, they're the only rocks in the world where I look down and think, "I wouldn't wish tripping on these on my worst enemy."😁

God protects the drunk fools.😬

I remember everyone crowding around to see what was going down, while I just stood up, shook off the hangover, and marched away humming something like "I am The Little Prince"...🙄

vividcanyon2 said:I once flew a few feet through some swampy mess and slammed into the ground so hard I thought I snapped my tailbone (luckily I didn't🙏)

Yeah, me too. I wiped out on some debris at FM and my tailbone took every single step on the way down to the beach. There were a ton of them.😢

Some of my dumbest wipeouts:

1. During a high school masquerade, I slipped down the stairs from Times Square to the Basement. Felt nothing.
2. Jumped into a pool and my foot got stuck in the grate. Broke my toe. And it was the first day of summer.😢
3. Slammed my knees while running at the sports complex in Makarska. Tore the skin off so bad I couldn't shower for a month, then the second I finally got the scab off, I hit the mud again and reopened the wound, dragging the whole misery out for another two weeks.
4. That one I mentioned earlier where I busted my tailbone. Couldn't leave the house for two weeks, and my physics teacher actually thought I was faking it just to skip his class and failed me for the semester.
5. Fell on my knees while rollerblading, just standing there. Result: ligament strains, a dislocation, a month and a half of braces, plus another month and a half of physical therapy. Just great.

hollowseal33 said:the last thing happened to me too, just way worse (I actually flew back onto the floor from the impact). turns out my upper left molar shifted back a couple millimeters and feels super loose now, plus a chunk of my right one is just gone—like an eighth of the tooth is missing. because of that, the inside of my upper and lower lips are all sliced up, swollen, and my gums hurt like hell. it’s not life-threatening or anything, I just freaked out seeing my mouth covered in blood and feeling my tooth wasn't where it was supposed to be with my tongue 😳

That sounds straight out of a horror movie. 😲

Since we're talking about wrecked teeth, I trashed mine at a water park. I tried going down a slide headfirst and belly-first even though the sign right next to it said strictly no doing that. Then I sat up, totally panicking because my tooth cracked, and just slid all the way to the bottom. The Space Cadet lost his mind 😬

Personally, I'm down with it. 😍

There was a point where I was adding sugar to basically everything. I realized I'd gone way too far when I started putting sugar on my salmon. 😳
