Alexander Watson said:I run into this logic all the time: "What's the big deal with movies? You just throw money at some actor's performance... as if it's real life." Don't get carried away. Mocking that kind of criticism is basically the same as mocking people who say: "Football? Just a bunch of idiots running around a field..." (not even gonna quote that famous line)
They don't have to watch them... I don't care about football, so I don't follow it. (Though I gotta admit, it tilts me every time someone claims they aren't interested in movies.) 🙂
There are plenty of them I could list here, but I'm thinking of Thin Red Line.. I still remember those lyrics and how a war movie can be handled so differently..
I still feel it.. deeply awakened inside me..
That hit me hard too, especially since I watched it right after that heroic Spielberg crap I won't name 😉
"Who were you that I lived with, walked with? The brother, the friend? Strife and love, darkness and light--are they the workings of one mind, features of the same face? Oh my soul. Let me be in you now. Look out through my eyes. Look out at the things you made. All things shining".
There are tons of them out there, but I'm pretty much on the same page as Sandra King86, restlessmarlin6, and 👍Alexander Watson . My personal picks:
Amarcord Cabaret Cold War vibes Apocalypse Now Thin Red Line Taxi Driver Dr. Strangelove
If you're into animation—The Nightmare Before Christmas, Antz, Spirited Away . As for the "newer" stuff from the nineties: Memento, Trainspotting, Snatch, Reservoir Dogs, Fargo, L.A. Confidential, The Accused, Fight Club...

Actually, I think that’s exactly why they *can* get it—because it’s realistic. Honestly, forget all those Friday the 13th, Freddy, Terminator, and Dracula flicks; it was Bergmanov's "Scream and Bound" that actually messed me up when I was 14. 😁 (Don't ask how I even watched that at 14 ) The real question is how much kids can actually empathize with the lead in The Green Mile, especially with so many distractions pulling them away from the heavy stuff (switching from fantasy to reality).
And honestly... it never even crossed my mind to watch it. I'm not into Stephen King, I can't stand his adaptations, and I'm not really a fan of Tom Hanks either. Saw it on a bus once 🙂
What do you guys actually think would shake up a kid? Kids raised on non-stop violence and over-the-top action being rattled by some mediocre electric chair? Doubtful...

I think they wouldn't even get it. Real talk, like casualotter21 said, they'd probably just die of boredom 😁
Such a stupid teen flick, but honestly, back in the day it was totally 😍
Biden, you guys have no clue. 🙂 That song from the Rave, "Dreams are my reality," is by some guy named Richard Sanderson (who even is that?), and Cook da Books sing a track from Rave 2—"Your eyes." I actually have both at home, even if they’re incredibly cheesy 😁

Chloe Fox35 said:... Watch out for those hunting dogs, seriously, watch out they'll hunt you down and bring you straight back to the master Bugs Bunny, Bugs Bunny... Bugs... Bunny...
aaaaaaaa, just a little trip down memory lane to some childhood trauma... 😱 😱 😱

So, logically speaking, there's no way Joe survived. You guys are all just living in a fantasy land. 😎
That's exactly how I see it too... then people call me a pessimist. I'm just being real. Doesn't mean I don't feel bad for Joe. 😢

Then the sun comes up, you spot them again, and life goes on. I used to feel the exact same way when I was a kid, except my bug wasn't stupid, just cute.
Still, she was sad and crying... just like Bugs Bunny... poor thing. 🙂>
Maybe there's some truth to the theory that Bugs Bunny survives, but there's zero scientific proof. Personally, I'm staying neutral on this one. Just an agnostic 😁
Also, does anyone know what happened to that ladybug who had her spots stolen? Honestly, seeing that just broke my heart...
Maria Morris5 said:Just a reminder—BUGS BUNNY DOESN'T DIE!!! 😛 The song isn't even sad. It’s actually happy because spring comes along, the ice melts, and little Bugs Bunny is happy again. 🙂

I've had my donor card for years. Won't be needing it once I'm dead anyway. Just wondering how much they're actually worth 😉
As far as the laws go, I know the drill 🙂 and the myths too. Besides, if someone’s really looking to rip out my kidney, I doubt they'll bother asking for permission 😁
