Go ahead and laugh, but this is actually a real issue for me. 😢 Sometimes I won't even log on all day, yet somehow every single one of my posts gets marked as read without me ever touching them. 👎
Karen Diaz32 said:Man, seriously... what were you even watching? The first one, the second one? Do they even have names? Here we go again, everyone talking about everything except the actual movies! It's like going to a food festival just to eat and drink, and if someone actually tries to watch a film, suddenly it's no big deal.
Nothing much, she makes a good point though. 😁 😁 😁
They did Under a Clear Sky (with Tribuna) and The Last Day Pet (J. Zastavnikovic). He 😬
I swung by yesterday. Missed the start of the first movie, and the second one was such a total drag I couldn't even bother finishing it. The crowds were insane, especially after the screenings when everyone swarmed in just to pose for the news crews and grab freebies. I bailed within fifteen minutes.
Hopefully, all this chaos is just opening week madness and things chill out today, because I am seriously NOT in the mood to deal with people.
The forum moved to new servers, so the email function is glitching out right now. Give it a few days to settle. Or just shoot an email to one of the admins.

I've been on it. My stomach was already a mess from gastritis, but I absolutely wrecked it this summer after two heavy drinking sessions and some food poisoning that left me puking for a week straight. It definitely helps. 👍

It’s great. It follows you so subtly that you don't even notice it's happening until it hits you near the end. I actually just checked the credits to see who did the score. It gives me vibes of Paris, Texas, or Dead Man. I know it's not exactly the same, but you guys get what I mean. 😬 The vibe, the setting... they nailed it. 👍

"San Pablo, Peru is located about 250 miles downstream (east) of Iquitos on the Amazon River"... looking at the map, technically it's not even the Amazon, but since there are tons of boat tours in that area, I doubt it's any wider than the Mississippi. The Mississippi is basically a stream; you could probably wade right through it.
Thomas Diaz6 said:The movie is based on a true story from those diaries by the guy from Grenada, or whatever his name was. Only thing I don't buy is him swimming across the Amazon 😁
Wrong. 😛
IMDb says it’s based on both The Motorcycle Diaries (Che Guevara) and Traveling with Che Guevara (Alberto Granado). By the way, the book (The Motorcycle Diaries) only got an English translation a few years ago.
I checked out a map after watching it since my geography skills are non-existent. That colony was in Peru, right? The Amazon isn't even that wide there, so maybe he actually did swim it. Still, I feel like they hyped up that part of the movie a bit.
Last night... I had this weird dream where I was trying to dig something out of my chimney, but I just couldn't break through. Then I ended up sailing on some magical sailboat with a brother I don't even have, heading toward floating islands where he decided to stay. On the way back, pirates attacked us, and this guy on a jet ski—literally riding over the ocean—showed up to help. He had teeth curled like ram horns 🙄 and then he started chasing me. Eventually, he ended up in my attic, climbed up the chimney, fell out, and just exploded all over the lawn... and from his remains, stalks of beans, peppers, and mayo grew.
I've been planning this forever, though honestly, I'm not even sure if I actually want to quit... who am I kidding? I don't. But I "know" that one of these days I'll finally call it quits... so I figure, why not now? More and more people around me are getting clean, so maybe they could actually be a support system instead of just screwing me over...
...just so I can clear my head a bit. Seven days, at least. Fine, five. Or three. 😢
