For a juicy roast: pour a can of Coca-Cola into your pan, wrap the meat in foil, and pop it in. About 30 minutes before it's done, peel off the foil, pour that "soda" over the meat, and let it caramelize to a golden brown.
Heh, those two tips might actually work (though I’m not sure if I’d ever risk a Coca-Cola roast myself)🙂
Are you serious?
What can I say? I’m not even a huge fan of Coca-Cola—not really into soda. But honestly, if all those horror stories were true (and I know two friends who drink liters of it daily), our stomachs would be trashed after just one glass... so I'm not buying it.

Hmm. 🤔 Not for me. Actually, I dig it more.
Definitely one of the most beautiful and bizarre animated fairy tales ever made... 👍 👍 👍
This was my absolute favorite movie growing up. Look, give me a break—I was ten. Actually... you don't even have to get it. I don't even get it myself. 😬
Just giving you guys an update on how things are going... the smaller one is turning yellow with purple spots now, and the bigger one has this cool inch-wide yellow ring around it. Next up should be the purple parts, but the center still looks like raw ground beef. 🙂

Hannah Ward11, you're my hero 👍 I’m constantly covered in bruises... while every other woman is out showing off their legs all summer, I'm just stuck here with scraped knees🙄

Got that too. 😁 Gonna mix it with some heparin cream...
So, during a... let's call it a "fun" night out where I totally lost my balance (read: wiped out like a total amateur 😬 ), I ended up with this massive bruise on my hip. It’s roughly the size of Texas, and it’s a nasty bloodypurple mess. 🙄 Honestly, I look like I just stepped out of a light sparring session with Mike Tyson. It hurts like hell and I don't think it's going away until... 🙂well, maybe by some ugly... 🙂 Tuesday. 😲 Seriously though, this thing is easily four inches wide...
Any advice? I don't care what it looks like, I just need the pain to stop.

I actually saw people sneaking beers in without anyone batting an eye. Maybe it was just the local crowd they were cracking down on? Seems pretty easy enough to keep an eye on those two Canadians at the show... 😬
There’s this one thing about bands like that that just gets under my skin—it’s the same thing I hate in people. It’s when someone tries to act all high and mighty without actually having the talent to back it up. That fake sense of superiority is exhausting. 👎
It’s not even that they suck, it’s just that attitude. It makes me write them off before they even play a note. Honestly, if they vanished tomorrow, nobody would even remember them in a couple of years. Plus, I get the vibe they’re just doing this to look "edgy" or "different" rather than because they actually give a damn. Based on how I've run into the band members, I’d say I'm right. The girlfriend seems alright, though. I don't know her well enough to tell. 😁

Seriously, I mention in TWO different threads that I’m driving solo to Vienna for the show, and some random girl who never posts about music and wouldn't even go to the concert if you paid her reaches out. Meanwhile, there are tons of people looking for a ride. Guess I just have a magneticly annoying personality or something.
And I can't get anything done without these two... 😢
So here we are... me and my two gorgeous friends. Honestly, the girls in NYC couldn't even touch us, and we’re being modest here 🙄. We’re down to hang out with some lonely guys who just happen to be heading out to Vienna... sex not included(unless someone actually catches our eye) 😛
You'll get used to it eventually... honestly, being stuck alone in my dorm was depressing (since I live on campus), but now I just barricade myself in my room with every lock I can find, blast some music, and tune everything out. If you can, grab a pet—I highly recommend a dog 🙂

Oh, please, getting them on board isn't the hard part... 😉 We’d just grab coffee in the morning at those Turkish spots... or hit up an Italian cafe for an espresso.
As for the shops, I remember dying laughing in one. The shelves were basically empty except for a few random items—just piles of halvah, Turkish Delight, feta, olives, and McCormick. Oh, and hookahs. Someone would ask for chocolate, and the guy would start digging under the counter for it. Or they'd need plastic soda crates, and he’d be back there rummaging through the floor again... 😂
shadowfalcon33 said:Back when I was living in Germany, this was my biggest, most unsolvable issue. I spent days just dreaming about getting a decent cup of Turkish coffee...
Why was that such a struggle though? I mean, there are enough Turks in Germany to find some easily... ☕
TV shows don't count. It says movies up there. I couldn't even finish one single Baywatch sequel. The actors (yeah, right, "actors") should be the ones surfing, not their stunt doubles. 😁
Chuck, Chuck, you're telling me that gorgeous, tanned Mitch doesn't actually surf? That he's just a poser? 🙂
