Oh my god, thank you! 😘 😘 😘 😘 You have no idea how much this just made my day
Alright everyone! So—I had this tattoo surgically removed about a month ago. Everything went fine, I guess? My doctor hasn't taken the bandage off yet, but I peeked under there a bit... and yeah, there’s basically just a hole where they took the skin out. Is that normal or what? So now I’m sitting here wondering—is this spot actually going to fill in at all over time? Or am I just stuck with a permanent crater even after some plastic surgeon gives me the usual "it'll look totally fine" speech? Seriously, help a girl out—any advice?
So I finally went under the knife yesterday to get this tattoo removed—local anesthesia only. Honestly? Total breeze. The doctors nailed the dosage so I didn't feel a thing—plus, I had a total babe of a nurse keeping me company! 😁
Sam Hayes said:It was bright red, but now—four weeks post-op—it’s turned pink (looks like the color is fading, maybe?). I’m just praying it doesn't spread out too much; having a massive, ugly keloid in a visible spot would totally wreck my confidence. I’m doing everything possible to stop that from happening—staying out of the sun, avoiding heavy lifting, using bandages (feels like they help "hold" the skin together), and I started using vitamin E oil since it’s oily and easy to apply... basically, I'm babying it like crazy. 😁 Where’s your keloid located? Is that from an old surgery too?
Yeah, yeah, same thing from surgery—but it’s been two years now and it hasn't shrunk at all, though it's stopped growing. It's on my upper arm, which is pretty visible, but I just wear long sleeves and call it a day. Doesn't really mess with my head; if nobody sees it, nobody cares, right?😁 As for the sun, I still hit the beach or use a tanning bed, but I try to protect it with a bandage—just a small one to cover that specific spot—so I don't overdo it in the sun.
Not trying to be a buzzkill here, but I’m pretty sure that’s a keloid—I’ve got one on my arm from surgery too. I tried everything from coconut oil to random ointments, but if it really is a keloid, there isn't much you can do, unfortunately. Just curious, though—what color is the scar looking?
Ronald Morales51 said:Honestly, I was mostly just hoping—I mean, she's not a bad actress, but that Buffy role totally defined her. Plus, having that classic All-American girl look... it kind of works against her, you know? It's limiting. But hey, whatever happens, happens, right?
Hey crimsontrucker4, glad you finally updated your handle😉
Look, I'm not saying she sucks—just that being Buffy stuck to her like glue. Like you said, no matter how hard she tries to branch out, everyone’s just gonna see that sweet 16-year-old vampire slayer, right? Nobody's gonna remember her for anything else besides Buffy.
Ronald Morales51 said:honestly, same here😁 why wouldn't they just call this movie Irresistible? 🙂 I know the US title is Simply Irresistible—it's a cute flick. I can't remember if I actually watched it or just thought about it, but it was fine, and like I said before, she's not a bad actress—so I'm hoping for something better during her career peak.
I highly doubt she'll ever top what she's already done her career peak was definitely Buffy and I don't see her ever hitting those kinds of heights again after that series role.
hey, what do you guys think about that 1992 Buffy the Vampire Slayer remake? —honestly not even sure if it counts as a remake since they turned it into a whole series right after 🤷
but honestly, it’s just a rumor. I’ve seen plenty of similar stories floating around—even Joss Whedon, the guy who created Buffy, was basically like "yeah right" about it.
I don't buy it—there was already a Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie back in '92 where Kristy Swanson played the lead. She's the OG Buffy, and the show is really just a remake starring Sarah Michelle Gellar. From what I've read in the comments, the movie didn't hit nearly as hard as the series did. For anyone who needs a refresher, check this out: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0103893/
Ronald Morales51 said:Honestly, she wasn't even my favorite in Buffy. I was totally crushing on her in I Know What You Did Last Summer—she played that perfect Miss Teen USA victim type—and then again in Cruel Intentions. The ultimate bitch, right? Those were basically the definitive teen hits of the 90s... definitely her peak.
I'm with you on that.👍 After that, she kind of faded into obscurity after a few flops that just didn't land. 👎But man, you couldn't help but watch whatever she was in if she was the lead.
Look, Sarah Michelle Gellar was absolute perfection in Buffy the Vampire Slayer—but ever since she left the show for Hollywood movies, she’s been kind of a lot, you know? Not that I don't still totally stan her, though. Man, if only I actually owned some seasons of Buffy
Jonathan Collins43 said:I just heard some seriously massive news!!!!!!!!!!!! They’re filming a new Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie!!!!!!!!!!!!! But—of course—it won't have Sarah Michelle Gellar or anyone else from the original show. 😢 😢 I mean, at least I hope Joss Whedon is involved somehow? Otherwise, who even knows what kind of mess this is gonna be!
mistyranger18 said:Look, we dealt with a guy like this once, and I don't mean "dealing" as in a minor inconvenience—I mean we had serious problems. This individual would stalk me and several of my friends all over town, constantly threatening us, provoking us, attacking us, and even getting physical. Every single time, we’d just call the cops, and they’d pick him up for questioning... until the day he actually attacked someone with an axe. After that, every time he gets too close, we call 911. They haul him off to the psych ward, but then a week later, he’s out on the street and the whole cycle starts all over again. He can't be thrown in jail because he's deemed mentally ill, yet the hospital staff keeps discharging him. About six months ago, the police finally put their foot down and hauled him in, so he’s staying away for now. For now. The system is fundamentally broken. That said, cases like this are incredibly rare; most schizophrenic !!!!! are completely non-violent. The real danger arises when they stop taking their medication and start perceiving someone as a threat. At that point, they might lash out at whatever object or person they feel is endangering them. If they were actually adhering to their medication regimen, everything would be under control. If anyone ever threatens you, do not hesitate: report them to the police immediately. They will take him into custody and transport him to a facility where he'll be medicated and stabilized for at least a little while. That is truly the only move you have. And honestly? Carry some pepper spray for self-defense.
Right, but you clearly didn't get it—he isn't taking his pills, and apparently, he sees some imaginary figure—his description sounded like some kind of demon😲 and he told my friend that while we were both at the grocery store, then he just bolts home. I'm seriously worried he might do something to her if I'm stuck in the aisle alone
mistyranger18 said:You don't need to go into a full-blown panic, but you can never be too careful. If he perceives her as a threat, there's a real possibility he could lash out against her...
hmmm, but the guy is definitely losing his grip—I even heard from his own relatives (they let him stay with them, and they have three little kids!) that he isn't even taking his meds. Every time he passes me, I get the chills... the dude just talks to himself constantly.😲
Hey everyone! I’ve got a situation here and honestly, I can't tell if I should be freaking out or not—but we've had this one schizophrenic !!!!! living in my neighborhood for a while now. He hasn't actually hurt anyone yet, but lately, his behavior has been getting seriously weird... So, my best friend works at the local grocery store where he shops, and she told me something totally creepy today. Out of nowhere, he looks her dead in the eye and goes: "You don't look anything like my Julia; you don't have long nails or sharp, big teeth like hers." This happens when he's there for the early morning shift to grab groceries, but specifically, he waits until she's alone after I've already left. It gave me the chills. She's terrified, and frankly, I am too—for her and for myself, though mostly for her since I can't be standing right over her shoulder every time he walks in... Then, get this—after she tries to move away, he tells her that Julia is the one telling her to avoid him, saying it "from the other side"... Please, tell me how dangerous is this? I'm worried he won't see that "passionate Julia" in her and might snap—God forbid—and if he ever lays a finger on her, I'll personally kill him! Should she or I be panicking right now?
This really takes me back to how I was just a few years ago... certain aspects of my OCD have shifted and evolved over time. I used to wash my hands constantly and count everything too. Some numbers felt safe while others didn't; six happened to be one of my "safe" numbers. I also struggle with that persistent, irrational fear of getting sick. In truth, most of my compulsions are essentially attempts to "cancel out" the threat of illness or to protect things that feel deeply important to me. Nowadays, I wash my hands less often—though still significantly more than the average person—and the health anxiety has subsided slightly, but it's still heavy enough that I can't truly relax; I live in a state of constant tension.
If anyone is interested, I would love for us to talk more about the other side of OCD—the anxiety, the depression, the restlessness, the general sense of dread and tension. Personally, those mental burdens weigh on me much more heavily than the physical compulsions themselves. Then again, having lived with OCD for eighteen years, I suppose I've spent quite a bit of time researching this on Google.
Sending my best to all my fellow obsessive thinkers! 😉😍
It’s honestly such a nightmare, right? Sometimes I just get so incredibly angry about the whole thing.

Man, I've gone up to 30mg and felt absolutely zero effect🙄—plus if you mix it with anything else, you might crash for an hour, but then nothing. Only problem is waking up feeling like you just crawled out of a grave... so yeah, you're definitely not alone here.
