Kudos to George Clooney, I hope he makes it big since the rest of the world seems to want him, but honestly? He’s neither a great actor nor particularly striking to look at. Compare him to Sean Connery—with a voice like that and the physical presence to back it up, you don't even need them to act 🙂))). I’d gladly listen to him read a cleaning supply manifesto 🙂))), but I have zero interest in watching this guy; his acting isn't exactly anything to write home about, let alone "fantastic"...

Al Pacino vs. Robert De Niro
in Movies ·
They’re both intense, but while I used to be a huge fan of Robert De Niro, Al Pacino is easily five times better now.
I love that jittery, psycho energy he brings; watching him scream feels incredibly visceral.
Even his recent films hold up—they aren't bad, though you can tell he's "acting," whereas with De Niro, that feeling has faded.
That said, Anthony Hopkins is still my absolute favorite.🙂

Someone else was actually debating this on another forum:
If you check the last few pages, you'll see phone numbers listed there. Apparently, people have already started calling... 🙂

Anyone in your family have a pacemaker?

A buddy of mine had one installed about a decade ago. I think someone mentioned it’s probably due for a replacement by now, though it should technically be holding up better than it actually is.
I haven't really gone into detail before, but from what I can see, he’s living quite normally for his age. He manages a larger garden, drives his own car, gets around town...
He dealt with some heart issues a few years back and spent some time in the hospital, but that was just a temporary setback. Everything went back to being fine after that.

Who do you look up to most?

I can't make any calls here since I don't have the authority.

I was genuinely disappointed.
The opening was solid, with a few standout scenes, but as the plot dragged on, I just lost interest. Honestly, I didn't even make it to the end.🙂))

Hey, Karen Sanchez19 🙂)))
What's there to say 🙂? Whether something exists or doesn't, how we know what we know... honestly, at least for today 🙂, I'm completely in the dark 🙂

In Memoriam: Marlon Brando (1924–2004)

Same here...
He was absolute perfection to me, even in those scenes down at the New York City docks. I remember when I was just a kid, I tracked down this massive poster of his legendary motorcycle scene from Wilderness. I was obsessed; that thing hung on my wall for years...
What makes him a genius to me is how much of an outsider he was. He stayed true to himself, avoided the usual Hollywood jet set, turned down awards, and yet, nobody could ever argue he wasn't the greatest...

Ladyhawke

I saw it maybe a year or two ago. I was just browsing through old video tapes and happened to spot Hauer's name on the bottom shelf. Back then, if his name was on a tape, I'd borrow it instantly—even if I’d never touch anything else. I didn't even hesitate.
The production is thin and full of flaws, but it's still beautiful.
That moment when they lock eyes—the man-wolf and the Hawks—in that split second between night and day at dawn... It's divine. They both know how fleeting it is, yet there's this desperate wish for it to last forever. Just being able to glimpse one another... it's everything.
What are you?
A woman, or a Hawk?
I am...
Sadness...

Stigmata

I have a soft spot for Stigma.
That movie really hit home for me; it was my first real introduction to those "forbidden" gospels. I haven't been able to shake those few lines from Tombstone since.
Plus, Father Keenan is absolutely wonderful.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers on CNN

It's the '78 version starring Donald Sutherland and Jeff Goldblum. An absolute classic. I think they even aired it on TV recently.
That’s exactly how my mother always saw it too. She was all about those Eastern cults, like Krishna. That’s why she keeps it quiet when I tell her I don't eat that stuff either😎.
She Creature — a total B-movie. I stumbled upon it by accident, but it was surprisingly decent. It’s a Fantasy / horror flick about a beautiful yet terrifying mermaid trapped in an aquarium. The plot holds up well enough, and the effects are actually impressive... honestly, the mermaid alone makes it worth the watch.
