What are the odds of getting pregnant while on your period?
Is a woman essentially sterile during those days?

I realize this might sound a bit naive😁 , but I have a friend who is convinced she conceived during her cycle, and according to her math, it’s highly plausible. How is that even possible?😬
Waking up with swollen face/eyes? in Health ·
From head to toe?😲 How often are we talking here?

For the last few years, I’ve dealt with this every winter. There’s always a two-to-three-week stretch where my fingers swell up overnight. It isn't all of them, just a select few 😬.
They usually settle down after a few hours, but they can be quite painful.
I have poor circulation—that's my explanation for it—and sudden shifts in temperature tend to aggravate the situation.

👍

I already have an artist picked out.😁

I met him this past summer and checked out his portfolio. Everyone I know who’s been to him is happy with the results. The guy has won awards and spent years working overseas.

I'm heading in for a consultation next week.👋

I want to get it done as soon as possible. Summer is right around the corner and the heat is intense. I live on the coast, so during those three months, I'm at the beach every spare moment I can find. Besides, everyone walks around half-dressed anyway,😉 so I'd rather get the healing process over with quickly.

Sorry 🙂

Thanx for the firsthand intel; that’s exactly what I was looking for.👍

The decision is made—I'm going to get a real tattoo so it actually lasts forever.

😁 👋

Maybe she’s lost a bit of her luster—it's hard to tell these days—but the quality remains high enough.

Wooooow. That’s exactly what I’m asking you.😁

Where did you get that made? And how much more are they compared to the genuine ones?

That’s true here in America.🤣

nimblescout said:Exactly. What do people working in high-end nail salons actually know about this?
Besides, isn't the whole point of having tattoo studios that they exist specifically for tattooing?
It shouldn't be happening in beauty parlors.

I was just joking, take it easy. 👋

Believe me, I wouldn't let anyone from a local spa get even remotely close to me with a tattoo machine. 🙂 😂

I've already checked out that website—the gallery shots look great, solid work.🙂

Take a look at the site itself: www.studio-dis.hr/bio_tatoo.htm

P.S. — It seems almost predictable that someone working in a tattoo parlor would claim bio-ink tattoos aren't even a real thing.😛 😉

You're the first person I've encountered with that specific experience. Usually, the pitch is the opposite—they claim those tattoos fade too fast to be worth it.

How do yours look currently? How much fading are we talking about? Is there even a hint that they might actually disappear anytime soon?😉

Which studio did you use? The end result depends almost entirely on the skill level of the artist...

🙂

Bio tattoos actually exist.😁 They utilize plant-based pigments. The technique remains identical, but since the ink is deposited into the superficial layer of the skin, they fade much faster. Apparently, after about three years, the removal process becomes easier to manage.

I completely agree regarding the motivation behind getting inked. Believe me, I’m not fifteen, and I don't plan on changing my mind about this specific piece in the next decade. However, if the option exists, why wouldn't you investigate every possible route first?
That is precisely what we are discussing here.😉

Getting a bio tattoo seems like a reasonable compromise. It serves as a trial run; after a few years, you can decide if you truly want that exact image in that exact spot forever.
I designed mine myself, and it carries significant weight. I won't regret having it, but even then, you can't predict how your perspective will shift five years down the line.😁 That doesn't mean I'll lack the conviction to stand by my choice to get tattooed.👋

Anyone else find themselves staring at the ceiling all night after an evening cup of coffee? Give this a like if you're in the club. 😳

Me too. 👋 😁

If I touch caffeine after 4:00 PM, sleep becomes a lost cause.

My routine is strictly a latte first thing in the morning, followed by another one before 2:00 PM.

And honestly, that morning dose is non-negotiable. A few months back, I missed my morning fix for a couple of days, and the migraines were brutal. It didn't stop until I finally had some coffee; within fifteen minutes, the pressure subsided.👍

Fortunately, I don't overdo it, and I always take it with milk. Still, I loathe being dependent on a substance. My plan is to swap the morning coffee for tea and just power through the headaches until the cycle finally breaks.😁

I saw that segment.🙂

Bio-tattoos are just starting to gain any real traction here in the States... and people hardly talk about them yet.

As far as I know, there isn't a single studio doing this kind of work in California.👎

northernsurfer16 said:A friend of mine has had hers for two and a half years now, and the fading process is incredibly slow. She finally gave up waiting and went in for some laser removal because she just couldn't take it anymore.

Where did she get it done? In Chicago?

I was browsing some German sites that suggest longevity depends on skin type and lifestyle.😲 (Does that mean if I shower twice a day, it’ll fade faster? Or if I hit the sauna or work out constantly? Heh.)
My gut tells me it boils down to this: either you get a fake tattoo and change your lifestyle, or you get a real tattoo and sweat as much as you want.😵 😬

Has anyone here actually tried them? Does anyone know someone who has gone through with a bio tattoo?😁

I’m thinking about getting tattooed. I’ve already settled on the design and the placement, but I have this nagging doubt about whether I'll still love it in ten years. That’s why a bio tattoo seems like a logical experiment... eventually, I can either commit to the real thing or just let the whole thing fade away. Plus, the process is supposedly less painful and much better for your health compared to permanent ink.

The catch is, I don't personally know anyone who has done it, and my research online suggests they fade incredibly fast—maybe within a year. If that’s the case, then spending $333 or more on it feels like throwing money down the drain.

Does anyone know if there are any studios in California that offer this? Or maybe somewhere in Seattle?

Charles Young said:But you can't change who you are, and frankly, I have no desire to try.

Of course you can, provided you actually have the will to do it. If you’re perfectly content sitting still and convinced you aren't missing out on anything, then fine. Stay where you are.

To me, the whole point of existence is evolution. We exist to adapt, to mature, to refine our edges, shed our flaws, and pick up better habits along the way. You can't alter your core essence—that's the blueprint that makes you an individual—but everything else is subject to change. You can learn, you can adjust, and through that process, you build actual substance.
Is marijuana actually a drug? in Health ·
Marijuana use is widespread these days, ranging from eleven-year-olds to grandmothers watering their garden plants for their grandkids. Access is so effortless now that, frankly, legalization doesn't change the fundamental availability.
Whoever wants to smoke will find a way to get a joint. You might see a sudden spike in consumption right after legalization, but I suspect it would settle back to a baseline fairly quickly. Take the Netherlands, for example; you wouldn't expect to see massive numbers of heroin addicts there, even with such liberal policies in place.
Cannabis is a relatively mild substance with minimal systemic damage, though it really depends on the individual. I know people who have smoked daily for years without becoming any less intelligent, assertive, or paranoid; for them, it’s just a way to unwind after a long day, much like having two glasses of wine. On the flip side, I also know people who became completely unmotivated, lazy, sluggish, and dim-witted because of it.

A joint here and there won't kill you.
😁
Tanning beds: how risky are they really? in Health ·
If we aren't being hyperbolic, I don't believe it's quite as damaging as people claim.

My routine is simple: I hit a tanning salon maybe two or three times before summer hits just to get a base tan. After that, I can spend the entire summer soaking up the sun all day long without much issue.
In the past, I couldn't even handle thirty minutes without turning bright red and suffering burns...

That said, getting a professional skin check wouldn't hurt. I'll probably schedule one soon.

It honestly baffles me how many people go once a week, all year round. It makes you wonder what their skin actually looks like under the surface.🙄
