On Saturdays, you’ll have to rely on the local urgent care clinics. Give the information hotline a call, or just check the news or look online.
I want to extend my gratitude to brisknomad6 and dd for taking the initiative and finding the time to collect a massive haul of clothes for the kids in Los Angeles and personally delivering them to me.

Thanks 👍
I want to send a shout-out to bipolar; I’m not sure if she’ll actually reply, but there's no doubt she'll see this.

I don't know how much you all have read about her, but she is an absolutely wonderful and incredibly brave young woman. I truly had the honor and pleasure of meeting her personally this past summer.

bipolar 😘
Thanks to everyone reading this and reaching out, whether it's here or via DM 🙂

We’re doing better 👍

Things aren't quite back to how they were before that massive crisis—I'm honestly not sure if they ever will be—but the situation is very stable and holding steady. Josh is still out in the elements, and while he’d love to be back in the controlled environment of the facility, they're keeping him out in nature for the time being... which, if you ask me, is probably for the best. He's put on about five or six pounds, and he doesn't even seem as obsessed with food when I bring it to him anymore.
Skin rashes and spots: what could they be? in Health ·
You should probably show that to your primary care doctor first, since you’re going to need a referral for a dermatologist anyway. If it's what I think it is, we see dozens of cases like this every single summer 🙂
.
And obviously, if it turns out to be fungus, an antifungal will definitely stop it from spreading.

It’s likely just some kind of superficial skin fungus.🙂

Try picking up some Lamisil cream at a CVS for now, but you really need to see a dermatologist.

Otherwise, that infection is just going to spread.

Forget the ironing board. Just lie down, watch a movie, and sip some wine. 😘

We're thinking of you 🙂

analogmaker38 said:I bet nobody even considered that it's just from staring at screens too much. It is. Noah Myers8, you've got nearly 1,600 posts here—do some thinking.

(Since I started hanging out on this forum, my eyes have been burning way more than usual. It’s nothing else but the computer. Don't kid yourselves.)

Give me a break.

Just look at my post count.

And my eyes are still perfectly fine.
Here I am again, but this time with some wonderful news !!! 🙂

It’s just a scam so far. 👍

Josh isn't quite operating at the level he was before the crisis hit, but honestly, maybe a slow and steady approach is actually for the best.

It’s a massive shift now that the need for imitation has been solved. His roommate is a total hypochondriac who constantly walks around bundled up like he’s stuck in a blizzard in Chicago; the guy was shamelessly copying him by layering two sweatpants and basically every T-shirt he owned just to keep up appearances. 🙄

Jucher was wearing cargo shorts, sneakers, and a crisp, perfectly pressed polo shirt. 😍

I hope violent femmes won't take offense, but I have to give credit where it's due: her selfless contribution to upgrading our little Man's wardrobe was top-notch.

Violent, thanks. 😘

Look, I would never claim that those few ounces of flesh sitting above my lungs actually matter to me. Mark poked at them, felt them around... sure, artificial ones can be bigger and better... but damn it, I’d take my own small, low, silly, cheerful, round ones any day.

Oh, Dea... I totally get you.🙂

Take me, for example. Last summer I went through surgery, and during the process, they realized one of my ovaries was a lost cause and decided to remove it.

With that signature tactful touch only our American doctors seem to master🙄 they told me when I asked why all the other women were being sent home while I wasn't. They just said, "Well, we can't, because we took your ovary."☕

Listen, it's a part of your internal anatomy that isn't even visible, yet the realization that a piece of my body was just gone horrified me. It was nothingness... nothing left... I felt broken.

And the way they broke the news to me👎

In America, you can technically cover any indicated medical exam through your health insurance. But if you follow the standard procedure—you know, getting a referral, showing your insurance card, checking in at the front desk—you’re looking at a wait time of over six months.

It is absolutely impossible to deal with.

Dear Dea,

I went through pretty much the same thing... my left breast was hit hardest by mastitis, and I had about three suspicious cysts there. On the right side, there were two more... honestly, they felt more like cysts than actual tissue. 😁

Can you believe they only did one biopsy? It wasn't even enough; they barely grabbed any tissue for the lab to actually analyze. 🙄

To make a long story short—the results came back 🙂

Anyway, I'm sending you a huge 🙂 and consider this little heads-up as my way of being 👍

I make sure to do this before every single specialist appointment.
Listen... they’re actually telling ME that I should just take my father's card myself 🙄

Look, if they waited this long for a legal Solution just to finally talk to me, shouldn't they be revoking his power of attorney and demanding he hand over the card instead? Why is this my responsibility?

I called them this morning to request a printout of the transaction history for that account from the last year. I need to see if money was being withdrawn while we were waiting for the Solution, or if it's been a constant drain.

I don't know... all I know is that I couldn't handle just one more "family" discussion. 🙂
I appreciate you asking 🙂

I didn't want to bother you guys any further...

'Baraba' is holding steady. He’s not quite back to his old self yet, but he's making progress. What's slowing him down is the constant construction noise at their apartment complex—it's nothing but shouting, workers everywhere, banging, dust, scaffolding... all that chaos is taking a toll on him, though honestly, who wouldn't be bothered by that? 🙄

How did they react to the Solution? In typical fashion, they've already put together a list of "expenses" they claim to have incurred lately... they even listed things like pastries and iced tea they bought for him, fixing a watch strap, a razor mesh... it's pathetic. 😢

Josh, it was even more depressing when I went into the bank. Once they finally agreed to let me see Baraba's account status, I discovered that the account where his Social Security goes—the one my father had power of attorney over—is deep in the red.
Well... what can I say besides ~ the Solution has finally arrived 🙏 🙂 😍

I'll just say the magic word: protection!

The root cause of the insomnia, the anxiety, and frankly, everything else wrong with this country.
Looking back at my post from April 28th...

Kenneth Hernandez67 said:Things are just going downhill...

The moment Jucher showed up at the door and the nurse—who’s been looking at me for a year now—told me she had to ask the attending physician if I was even allowed to visit him, everything clicked.

She saw me carrying a bag with some hot cheese pastries and fruit tea inside... she told me not to get upset, but insisted I couldn't give them to him without her being there, so I could stay for a quick minute and then she would feed him later... and she made sure to mention he wasn't allowed to get up under any circumstances... I was actually breaking a sweat. I asked her what on earth was wrong with him? The answer was just that the doctor would explain everything, and I already had an appointment scheduled with the doctor anyway...

His roommate was guarding the door, pacing nervously and muttering over and over, "He's restrained! He's restrained!" just repeating it incessantly... I didn't really grasp the gravity of it until I actually laid eyes on him.

I still can't quite believe Josh is back.😍

It took a month and a half... but here he is.👍
Alright, here’s some good news for anyone following this 🙂

HE’S ACTUALLY DOING BETTER 👋

My man is almost back to his old self after everything he went through 🙂

He’s lost a little weight physically, but honestly... it’s incredible... just incredible how much he’s recovered mentally...

It happened exactly like they said it would.

Seriously, I could barely wrap my head around it, considering the state he was in 😢

For now, he won't be heading back to the facility or being stuck indoors; instead, starting next week, he’ll be out walking around the park early in the morning before it gets too hot.

I brought him some cargo shorts... he absolutely loved them 😉

I asked if he wanted more "normal" clothes, and he actually told me which jeans and t-shirts to bring him... guys, I seriously can't believe it 😍

...I'm tearing up....

Thanks for the response.

Fortunately, I’m not looking for advice; I just wanted some clarification.

Haven't you been constantly advising everyone to drink WATER, and in even larger quantities at that? 😕
