Look, please don't mention this to your mother; it’s completely inappropriate unless she happens to be a doctor. These are private matters, and involving your mom in this is just weird.
It would be better to consult your primary care physician.
I don't think an immediate trip to a urologist is necessary; let his regular doctor take a look, or even better, a dermatologist.
It's been sweltering lately, so it might just be a minor issue like an inflamed sebaceous gland.
Regardless, he shouldn't put this off. Even if the symptoms happen to subside on their own, that nagging anxiety about whether something is actually wrong will always be there.
Breakthrough bleeding is a common occurrence with low-dose pills, typically during the first few months of use.
Most often, it resolves itself if you just exercise a bit of patience.
However, you neglected to mention this:
If breakthrough bleeding persists beyond six months, or if it starts occurring after long-term use, you should see a gynecologist for an exam and a consultation.
John Thomas2 said:They say you should take them all at once, no skipping. 😳 I know taking three hits like that is basically like taking an emergency contraceptive—and honestly, I’ve had to use those in emergencies before. 😁 The instructions claim you shouldn't take more than one at a time because it triggers premature bleeding... though, personally, I think I just feel standard PMS symptoms. Just kidding, obviously... but what else can I do? 😳
Just swallow the whole thing along with the foil and that little instruction paper inside... that's the safest way to handle it.
Speaking of leg issues, I’ve been dealing with this nagging, uncomfortable ache in my legs for a few days now. It actually feels like the tendon behind my knee has somehow shortened.
I brought it up to my doctor today, but he didn't seem particularly interested in the issue... his response was basically that we just wait for the blood work results 🙄 so who knows what kind of surgery they might end up recommending for me.😁
As you all know, I just got back from my laparoscopic surgery.
Following the procedure, my gynecologist informed me that I have beautiful, mature follicles on my right ovary, which implies that I am indeed ovulating while on Cilest.
Apparently, I’m nothing special.
And here I was, thinking I was somehow immune.
Thinking and fighting are two completely different things.😁
If you aren't actually feeling any pain from flat feet, wearing orthotics is essentially a waste of money—it won't change a thing about your foot structure 🙂
It all depends on which brand you’re taking. For some, it kicks in after just a few hours; for others, there’s absolutely no effect at all.
Besides, I take mine in the morning right after brushing my teeth. I always keep a small pack in my wallet, separate from the ones I keep at home. You never know where life might take you.🙄 😁
It all depends on why you’re taking hormonal pills in the first place... For me, personally, the main reason isn't birth control—it's managing PCOS. So, I actually prefer it when they're "turned off."🙂

Casey Palmer5, I honestly don't even have the words to thank you. 👍
I applied it last night... honestly, I could feel it working immediately. It stings and tightens up—and yeah, it looks pretty gnarly while it's on. Even my dog bolted out of the bathroom when he saw me. But once it was over, my skin looked about 15% better.
I’m heading out tomorrow to grab a bulk pack, and I’ll try to talk Junior into actually using it. If I promise him he can wear it to school without looking like a freak, he might finally cave. 😁
