Man, I was watching stuff on HBO and honestly? I think the book is just way better than the movie! You get such an incredible cast, but then you get this weak film—it just doesn't add up, does it? 👎
It looks like this is hitting US theaters sometime late July... or at least, that's my best guess... I’m honestly just waiting for some critic to drop a review in any major paper so I can check it out. If they give it a 5 out of 5, I’ll happily settle for 1 star... 😁I’m calling it now, it’s going to be bad! The only reason anyone here will even bother showing up to see this movie is because of Paris and Chad Michael Murray...
Well, that's true... but still, I mean (since we already had the world premiere of 🙂 Alexandra Velik !!!) we could definitely have a global premiere for this flick, and don't even get me started on FF!
So, get this... the gap between when movies drop in America versus here is barely even two months! It’s honestly ridiculous. They pulled the exact same stunt with Fantastic Four, too. It hits theaters in the US on July 1st, but we have to wait until August? Seriously? And if you remember, they did the same thing with Spider-Man 2. Why do they always do this to us?
Brian Foster2 said:p.s. Oh man, I am seriously counting down the days until this hits theaters. Really hoping it gets a wide release here in the States too!
It’ll happen, don't you worry... 👍 If you check the AMC website, I think they have a release date set for August 11th or something close to that...

I think it might actually drop a little later—maybe toward the end of June... 👋 But honestly, based on the trailer, this looks like it's going to be a blast! 👍
I’ve been picking up Paramount Pictures since issue number four. It was great back then because I mostly cared about the DVD releases—plus, having the release dates right there was super handy. Eventually, I got more hooked on the theatrical stuff and what was coming down the pipeline. It worked out fine for a while, until I started finding all that info online... Then one specific issue came out so late I actually thought they’d finally stopped printing, but nope. That particular issue was just so bad ( 🙂 ) I couldn't even believe it. I knew they wouldn't last much longer since things were clearly sliding downhill—they managed to limp through a few more issues and... well, you know how that ends! But hey, at least Darth Vader was on the back cover, so he'll be sitting right on top of my stack of Paramount Pictures magazines! 😁 😁
Here we go again... I was just scrolling through The Washington Post and saw they're saying if all those paychecks don't clear by Friday, another strike is on the horizon... 😠 😠 😠 😠
I mean, honestly, shouldn't they just make up their minds? Are they actually going to show up for work ( 🙄 ) or what? ( 🙄 )
Plus, since it looks like there might not be any Star Wars coming out soon (like I mentioned before), I'm really torn. Should I just grab a DVD or a digital copy now, or is it better to hold out until May 19th?!
So, I just checked the VIP Movies site for the theaters over in Indianapolis, and here’s what they have lined up for tomorrow:
EUROPE - Hitler: The Final Fall
URANIA - The Shadow Game 👍
Mind you, this schedule is only good through tomorrow. They swap everything out every Thursday, obviously. But hey, it doesn't really matter—I'm just happy to see the theaters are actually open and haven't shut down on us yet!
So, I just cracked open the paper about half an hour ago and saw the absolute best news ever! 😁 😁
Both the local multiplex and Urania are actually open today—though they aren't running quite as many screenings. Over at the big theater, they're showing that Hitler biopic—total downfall, right?—while Urania is playing some classic flick at their "Culture" cinema. 🙏 🙏 😁 😁
It looks like we might actually get to see Star Wars after all! Apparently, they managed to work things out with the big bosses behind the scenes...
I mean, I guess that's part of why theaters here have been struggling... back in the day, it was just—you show up, grab your ticket, get some popcorn and a soda, sit down, watch the movie, and then you're out! 👎
There weren't really any cool perks, like those early morning discounts for kids (I mean, they happened once in a while, but not often), or special screenings, or loyalty cards and stuff like that... 😢
🙏 ---- But hey, I'm still rooting for them to reopen before Star Wars hits (which will probably happen anyway), since they've taken down every single poster except for Star Wars and Kingdom of Heaven... who knows... 😕 😕
Not really... both theaters actually underwent renovations about a year ago... I honestly have NO CLUE!!! 😕 😕 😕
In Indianapolis, there are tons of people who just pirate movies for $20 $10 ...selling them under the table. Maybe that’s part of the problem. 😕 They were planning on opening a smaller multiplex over at our local Walmart, but it looks like those plans totally fell through. 👎 👎
You’ve probably all heard about this nonsense by now... okay, maybe it’s not total nonsense... but the staff at the local movie theater in Indianapolis haven't seen a paycheck in three and a half months, so they're officially going on strike—just 14 days before the final installment of Star Wars drops. 😠 😠 😠 😠 😠 😠 😠 😠
I mean, I'm honestly pretty ticked off because this just isn't fair. And it's not even just about me—think about how many people are going to be bummed out when they realize they can't catch the last part of SW on the big screen. Some will try to find bootleg copies, others will just wait for it to hit streaming, and some will wait until it finally lands on cable. About a month before the strike kicked off, the High School for Business actually started a campaign to save the cinema since theaters have been seeing such a massive drop in attendance over the last six months (I remember one of the first screenings of The Aviator had only 22 people in seats!). Now, everyone is just crossing their fingers and praying the theaters stay open until that famous May 19th date... 🙂
I just caught the new trailer ( 😲 ) and man, I have a feeling this movie is going to be totally epic!!! 👍
According to some news site, it’s dropping in early August... But shouldn't they release it a bit sooner, especially since it hits theaters here in the States on July 1st? 😕 🙄
