George Hall5 said:Since so many people pigeonhole Green Day as a pop-punk band—which, let’s be honest, I can’t deny because they have one or two albums that fit that mold perfectly—I’ll cast my vote for them... even though they’ve drifted through every single sub-genre imaginable—punk, sub-punk, rock-punk, melodic-punk, DIY-punk... in short, GD rules.😉
As for the rest of the names mentioned, I’ve got Buzzcocks on my playlist, but honestly, most of the guys listed here fall more under the general punk-rock umbrella to me...
How is it that nobody has even brought up Blink-182? Not even as a passing mention! In my book, they are the biggest and most iconic pop-punk band out there, and they haven't strayed from that genre for a second...
NOFX just sounds like they're screaming at me too much; I'm really not sure if they even deserve to be classified as "pop." I’m not exactly a fan of Offspring—I have Strung Out, but I don't listen to them constantly unless they happen to pop up on shuffle—and even they strike me as more of an aggressive punk outfit...
Offspring is aggressive punk? 😕 Green Day has evolved, sure, but they've always stayed within that pop-punk vein. To my mind, they, Buzzcocks, Descendents, and the like are pop-punk—whereas I don't even count Lagwagon, Blink-182, or those other idiots as actual punk.
Vocals—are we talking Joe Strummer from The Clash or Shane MacGowan from The Pogues? It’s a toss-up, really. Guitar—Martin "Olga" Algar from the Toy Dolls or maybe El Hefe from NOFX. Bass—Matt Freeman from Rancid. Period. He’s the only choice. No debate required here.🙂 Drums—Smelly from NOFX or Tre Cool from Green Day.

Seriously, what the hell happened? Why did you absolutely butcher it???
Donna Nelson23 said:Ford bought them—so instead of being called Sauber, they’ll be running under the Ford name, and let me tell you, they are absolutely staying on the grid...
👏
That is exactly my point! Once again—Sauber is dead and Ford is in—which means we are looking at 10 teams next season, not 11 (just look back at my very first post!).
Yeah, I’m pretty much convinced the five slowest teams are getting cut right in the first round. And don't expect to see eleven teams on the grid anymore—since Ford bought out McLaren, they’re effectively gone from the count. 🙂
If we actually had a car that didn't fall apart every five minutes—and if Montoya possessed even a shred of tactical sense—we’d be celebrating at least our third double victory this season.
Question for all the McLaren fans out there: Would you trade that double win for that absolute disaster of a collision between Montoya and Alonso when the SC was pulling off the track? I know I would. 🙂

I honestly don't see any chance at all that they'll keep the Haas name. It’s a shame, really—though I suppose there's a silver lining—because I went out and bought one of their original shirts, and now it's basically going to be a priceless relic. Way to go, me! :klap: 😁
