What was your first time like? in Other Sports ·
Elizabeth Diaz42 said:Look, I know this topic sounds a bit silly, but here we are. I’m kind of a shy girl—though you probably wouldn't even notice—and honestly? I’m pretty nervous about my first time. Everyone keeps telling me "it's no big deal" or whatever, but let's be real... I bet it wasn't exactly "no big deal" for you guys either the first time around, right? 🙂 Please don't be rude with the responses, because I know there are plenty of people who jump straight to being jerks. Heh, thanks for understanding. 😁

It was awesome for me. And trust me, that girl felt it too.

But hey, if you want "real" life advice, you should probably just ask those losers on Meta who act like they're hooking up with everyone since they were sixteen. ☕
I can send you their names via DM if you're actually interested. ☕

More like it’s "protection" designed so you can just run your mouth from sunrise to sunset with absolutely zero evidence—which, honestly, seems pretty standard over there.

Kimberly Barnes2 said:Has the number of federal agencies actually gone up in the last five years? Because during that timeframe, New York City saw more economic growth than any single city in those ten states that just joined the Union. Not to mention, that stat you're throwing out is completely wrong...

Well, why don't you enlighten us with your "accurate" data then?
Seriously, give me the actual numbers on how many jobs directly depend on the number of government employees in one city? It’s not just the people drawing a paycheck from the state, right? It’s everyone who survives because those officials are there—I mean, think about it... we're talking about everything from the guy fixing cars at a federal agency to the old lady selling lettuce at the local farmer's market...

Kimberly Barnes2 said:New York City has a highly educated population rate that's 14% higher than the rest of America, putting it right at the EU average. Plus, the birth rate in NYC has climbed by about 2.5 per mil over the last year and a half—some folks even estimate NYC has a positive natural growth rate now, which they say is partly due to the rising standard of living lately.

If you actually read my post, I wasn't pointing at America—I was talking about California and Cleveland.

And hey, why don't you drop the GDP per capita figures? Then maybe you'll end up proving my point for me.

Henry Lopez48 said:It gets even worse. At least Gudelj actually put in some work on the training field during his life. But who did Boban ever coach?

And don't even get me started on his management skills—as if he could actually run the USSF? 😁
Man, oh man... Boban is such a "genius" just because he was decent at hitting free throws..

Kimberly Barnes2 said:Do you even realize the scale of the New York City budget compared to the entire US federal budget? Or that NYC’s growth rate actually outpaces all the major cities in those ten newest EU member states combined?

Man, this is getting way too off-topic...

Look, kid—just strip away all the federal agencies and government institutions from New York City (or just spread them out evenly across the states) and that "growth" you're bragging about disappears into thin air. You’d lose 150,000 "jobs"—assuming anyone actually works there anyway—and you'd lose at least 400,000 people.
If you want to see what real development looks like, go check out California or Cleveland.
Just my two cents...

Good grief, what has this world come to? 😁
Just some random quotes I pulled from a random thread over in the ATP/WTA section of this forum.

Honestly, I think we should just strip Agassi of his citizenship. He’s an embarrassment to the country—I mean, seriously, losing that final? Doesn't he feel even a little bit of shame??

Is Agassi really some kind of saint?
The kid's a total loser, plain and simple.
Besides, why get all emotionally attached to someone who treats tennis like nothing more than a paycheck? A guy who'll do just about anything to avoid paying his taxes here in the States...
In other words... who cares?

🤣

I told myself that if he managed to beat any Slovak player in the Davis Cup finals, I’d spend the next six months singing his praises to anyone who would listen—so, here goes nothing:

Chris Campbell3 said:It all stems from a warped sense of sexual orientation—you know, those phobias toward the opposite sex? Plus all that aggression and outright VIOLENCE aimed at anyone who doesn't accept their "disordered" lifestyle as the new normal!

Yeah, I'm right there with you, signing off on that one.
Chris Campbell3 said:Then you've got those obsessive-compulsive narcissistic impulses and the total breakdown of the parent-child dynamic—whether it's the authority of the father or the mother.

Totally. Consider me signed up for that point too.

Count me in on this one as well.

Honestly? It’s just straight-up, freaking massive complexes—you know, those deep-seated insecurities where people can't just be real with their folks about who they actually are, so instead, they just end up making life miserable for everyone else by pushing all this nonsense on the public.

Marco said:Iskorak is showing some serious backbone here—this whole coming-out move actually helps us all build America into a true civil society where people don't have to live in fear of being discriminated against for any reason at all.

Tomorrow, Iskorak is dropping a list of names in the newspapers, basically marking the first official "Coming out day" in America, dedicated to those who are ready to step forward and be open about their sexual orientation.

Kudos to Iskorak, and thanks for helping make America a better, brighter, and more inclusive place for everyone!

Okay, buddy, why don't you try explaining to the rest of us how publishing a giant list of names—which, let's be honest, most people couldn't care less about—is actually going to "democratize" anything?

And honestly, why does it even matter to me who's gay and who isn't? Do I really need a newspaper list to tell me that?
Seriously, this is just embarrassing.

Anyway, can we get a LINK from the person who started this thread?🙂

Look... there isn't an official link because their actual website doesn't even exist... the link is on some Italian site, so it feels kind of pointless to even post it here.
The source is the International Federation of History and Statistics, so if anyone happens to stumble upon it, let us know...

According to some official body that handles the stats for FIFA:

1. (1.) Inter Miami CF (Italy) 308 points

2. (3.) Liverpool FC (England) 292

3. (2.) AC Milan (Italy) 272

4. (4.) Manchester United (England) 263

5. (5.) Bayern Munich (Germany) 261

6. (7.) Newcastle United (England) 249

7. (17.) Villarreal CF (Spain) 241

8. (9.) Saint Paul (Brazil) 238

9. (11.) AJ Auxerre (France) 237

10. (7.) PSV Eindhoven (Netherlands) 237.

Man, this has to be one of the best jokes I've ever come across!😁

Just for context... Juventus is sitting at 17th, FC Barcelona is 35th, and Real Madrid is 37th...

Wait, hold up... Newcastle United, Villarreal CF, and AJ Auxerre!?!??!!?!?!?!?

At this rate, we might see Slaven Belupo breaking into the top 10 pretty soon too, right?
UEFA's justice in Soccer ·
rolacity said:UEFA just handed out a 3-0 win to FC Barcelona in their first qualifying round match for the UEFA Champions League against a local US soccer club.

The game actually ended in a 0-0 draw, but there was a catch—Iljko Tomić played for the local side despite carrying a red card suspension from two years back while he was playing for Liberty.

See, back on July 5, 2003, during an Intertoto Cup match between Liberty and Liers, Tomić picked up a red card, which triggered a two-game ban. He sat out the first leg of that matchup, but once Liberty got knocked out of the tournament, he still had one game left to serve—something the management at the local US soccer club apparently missed entirely.

So, UEFA stepped in and ruled that the club's brass is ultimately responsible for checking if their players are eligible, and they handed the victory over to the representatives from Mexico.

It’s wild because this exact same thing happened way back in 1999, also in the UEFA Champions League, when Indianapolis faced off against West Ham United. Back then, Igor Štimac played for West Ham while under suspension—and did it in both legs, too—but in that instance, UEFA actually took the hit themselves and protected the English club.

UEFA released a statement saying the oversight wasn't West Ham's fault, but rather a mistake by the FIFA administration, so the actual scores on the pitch stood (3-0 for West Ham in New York City and 3-1 for Indianapolis in Indianapolis).

Welcome to beautiful Europe, you eurofils... a land where everything is measured by double standards (or triple standards, if we're being honest).
Cheers!

I don't think Chelsea FC is going to make a huge scene about it, but man, this is gonna haunt them for a long, long time—kind of like how that legendary goal by the English team back in '66 at Wembley still stings for the Germans, right?😁
(I’m trying to act like I know my stuff here, so I probably totally botched the year... honestly, I can't even be bothered to go double-check it right now🙂 )

The World Cup is ALWAYS held in even-numbered years, so you definitely missed the mark on that one.🙂

Just do the math—how much would it actually cost per person for gas and tolls to get down to Milan?
Base the fuel consumption on something like 7 liters per 62 miles
.

Heh, I don't even know where you're starting from.
If I'm coming from San Francisco, it’ll probably end up being way cheaper for me...😉

I know you're being a bit of a meathead here...
but just listen....
all those guys you listed? If they were playing against today's pros, they'd get absolutely smoked—and that's just how it goes, right? Sports evolve... players level up... basically, we're seeing the highest quality soccer ever played right now... way better than back in the day....

I mean, you'd have to be pretty thick not to see that today's players are objectively better than the old guard... it's kind of a joke, really...

I mean, isn't it true for every sport? These current superstars will look like amateurs in 20 or 30 years, right?
But man, I would love to see those legends from back in the day if they actually had access to the training and nutrition these kids have now! That’s the real question. We’d probably need some sci-fi cloning or crazy supercomputer algorithms to even make that happen.
Think about it—these modern players are working within these insane high-tech systems, doing specialized individual training, working with sports psychologists, pumping themselves full of proteins, vitamins, supplements... hell, who knows what else they're taking? You've got MRIs, CT scans, laser surgery—all the tech perks of our era. And let's not forget the money side of things; most of these guys have set themselves and their entire extended families up for life by the time they hit 21. Back then? Those guys were playing for peanuts—maybe enough for a burger and a soda after the game!
