It's me. I'm 35. No underlying health issues, though I've got this cough... plus, I've been dealing with nausea and vomiting for the last 10 days. Now my stomach is cramping like I'm about to start my period.

I took a pregnancy test because the vomiting made me suspect I might be pregnant. My last period started on January 30th, and ovulation should have happened around February 11th, but I'm not entirely sure. The beta hCG result was 0.098.

Fever is currently 38 degrees.

The KCC was also done due to pregnancy concerns.

Not taking any medications.

It's way too early for a pregnancy test if your last period started on 1/31. That would mean you're only on day 17 of your cycle, right?

So far, the only "expert" advice I've gotten is that if my oldest stops going to daycare, the younger one will magically stay healthy... plus everyone keeps telling me it's totally normal for kids to run fevers this often. Total nonsense.😢

Did he have atopic dermatitis? Any family history of allergies?
Those slightly elevated neutrophils suggest there was some inflammation going on. Immunoglobulins are normal, except for that high IgE which points toward an allergy. It wouldn't hurt to check his iron levels, too.
Everything else looks fine.

No allergies in our family. He had dermatitis when he was a baby—we had to use Mustela products because his face and eyebrows were covered in crusty patches...

I'll let you know about the iron once the doctor gives us the referral...

Can an allergy actually cause a kid to run a fever every three or four weeks?

We're athletes—we deal with dystonia, or we used to be hypotonic, and we've got some level of cerebral hypoxia... staying healthy is everything if we want to keep training...

That's why I'm obsessed with finding out what's causing these fevers.

So, here’s the deal... I need someone who actually knows what they're doing to help me make sense of my younger son's test results. The doctor refused to tell me a single thing over the phone. It's ridiculous. I’m going to lose my mind waiting until tomorrow at 4:00 PM for an appointment.

My little guy has been stuck in this endless loop since he was six months old. Every single month, without fail, he hits a fever that spikes up to 104. It’s relentless. Now he’s 14 months old, and here we go again—he’s caught another virus and the fever is back. Just constant.

My RBC count came back at 4.37. Nothing crazy, just a number on a page. I’m not a doctor, obviously, but looking at the range, it seems fine. Everything else looks steady too. Just one more data point in the pile.
HGB 113.
HCT 0.339. Not great. Definitely low.
MCV 77.5. Low. Just saying.
MCH 25.8.
MCHC 332. That’s the number. No fluff, no filler. Just the facts.
My RDW is sitting at 16.3. That’s high. It means my red blood cells are all different sizes instead of being uniform. Not ideal. I need to figure out if this is a deficiency issue or something else entirely before I lose my mind.

If the kid said he was going to McDonald's... the mom bought him food and didn't have those $6.75 ... to some people, it $6.75 doesn't seem like a big deal, but to others, it's $6.75 the end of the world.

A test can show positive without there actually being a pregnancy... In my last cycle, I had one turn up positive five days before my period was even due. I ran a few more tests just to be sure... all of them came back positive. My period was only a day late when I took this specific test, and this time it showed negative. I went ahead and got my blood work done too... the HCG level was only 4.06. Then I started bleeding on the second day.

I put my cake order in at Vineland almost three weeks before the wedding... mostly because I nearly forgot to do it entirely! :-)

I had 163 people at my wedding. The cake was round and had four tiers. I can post a photo if you actually want to see it.

Just go see an OB-GYN. They can definitely tell you if your girlfriend is pregnant just by doing an ultrasound exam.

So I finally checked out that chocolate fountain everyone’s been buzzing about... caught it over at a local Hershey's shop in Philly yesterday... hmmm... looks pretty damn tempting :-)
