It’s not even really whipped cream (my bad, misspoken earlier)—more like a light mousse—but the flavor hits like this perfect blend of vanilla and airy cream... if that makes any sense Anyway, it doesn't even matter... everyone’s just going to whip up whatever kind of cake they want, however they want it... for us and our guests, what we made was absolutely spot on😍
nah, not really... they’ve all got that shallow vibe—kind of like a massive sheet cake—but honestly? They actually had a way better flavor profile than these
I wasn't really looking to factor in those flashy, high-end followers either—mostly because my chair was way too expensive to be playing social experiments with random strangers. I mean, sure, I've had some decent engagement from people who aren't exactly "influencers," but they weren't exactly pulling any massive numbers for the seat, either... but whatever, totally irrelevant to what we're talking about here
Oh, and one more thing... for some reason, the cupcakes were actually way better than the actual cake. I honestly have no clue why...🤷
Don't worry about the food... girls, seriously—there will be plenty to eat 🤣 . We actually sliced into that cake from the top of the stand... it looked pretty much identical to that photo I posted a few pages back
Look, I actually asked the restaurant manager if people even knew there were seconds available... some folks ate up, others had no clue—but honestly, that’s not on me. Not every server bothered to mention it to the guests... I mean, look at it this way—imagine you've got a standard cake... do you have enough volume to give every single customer two helpings, or what?
Ugh, I feel like I’ve already covered all this, but whatever—here goes nothing, just for you guys... let's run through it again😉 I ordered 130 mini cupcakes and one big cake for a crowd of 122 people... honestly, nobody even touched the main cake. We only had one kid under ten there, and we were counting them as part of the headcount... though if there'd been more kids, we probably would've counted them too The price for those little cupcakes was $3.00 per unit, and from what I recall, a slice of the main cake was somewhere around $5.00(10- ) And yeah... none of my guests had ever seen or tasted these specific treats before, so they were pretty much obsessed—they thought they were super cool and totally delicious
Monica didn't even charge me for delivery... plus she hooked me up with those $67 discounts on my last order🙂 and honestly, Vincek is out of his mind with those prices😲 I mean, I'm sure that stuff in the little cups is decent, but man, that price tag is steep... at least for me
We actually planned for a much smaller turnout, which worked out perfectly for us... honestly, a huge chunk of my girls were either pregnant or dealing with tiny newborns, plus you had the older crowd, people living overseas, folks missing out due to surgeries, illnesses, or family deaths—and some just didn't show because I couldn't make it up to them either... basically, hitting 122 guests was a win in our book... and I didn't even have a final headcount until like two days before the wedding Daniel Smith8, we didn't even count any new partners or people who weren't really "official" yet... if we had, that number would've jumped by another 30 or so people and yeah—don't forget to factor in the band, the photographer, the videographer...
Look, just go with your gut on the quantities—do whatever you think makes sense. Honestly, I overbought on the snacks because I was paranoid about running out, and now look at me—I'm handing them out to everyone like crazy. We could've saved some decent cash if I hadn't panicked. It’s funny how much money you end up blowing on stuff you don't even need just because you're worried there won't be enough... And yeah—hang tight for a bit until you see the actual turnout from people. In my case, I ended up with 50 fewer people than what the RSVP list originally said.
It wasn't a bad call, honestly—it was basically like getting a decent slice of cake... plus we had that massive sheet cake sitting there too, so people could always grab more if they wanted... And just imagine if you added another 100 cupcakes to your guest count only for them to sit there untouched... you’re looking at throwing $300 straight into the trash for nothing... In my case, we ended up with so much leftover food it actually felt kind of wasteful—not because people weren't eating, mind you, but because the restaurant just went overboard with everything... so, trust me, don't overdo it... people aren't showing up just to graze, and even those who do come for the food end up stuffed to the gills anyway😉
Yeah... honestly, whatever you decide, it’s gonna be awesome👍 I was sold the second I saw the photo, and once I actually tasted them—I knew I made the right call.
hey ruggedtrucker16, you're gonna have more than enough... honestly, I doubt your guests will be eating nearly as much as mine, especially with this heat
Daniel Smith8, you won't go wrong with the cakes... I've had plenty of people tell me their whole wedding was great, but those little treats were what they actually remembered most
Bradley Castillo74 said:I'll see what these folks have to say about it, though I think I actually brought up the cheesecake just a second before you did! ☕ The girl who’s planning on picking it up for me mentioned the cheese was incredible at some wedding she went to a while back. By the way, what kind of cakes were yours made of? Come to think of it, not everyone is even a chocolate person. If I try to make sure every single guest is happy, I’m going to lose my mind... 🙄
Yeah, I'm totally blind🤣 sorry ladies, I completely missed that... And I'm pretty sure way more people lean toward chocolate or fruit flavors than cheesecake, no matter how good the cheesecake is Don't stress too much about whether everyone will love it—just grab one fruit-based and one chocolate one so you're covered either way🤷 Mine were a vanilla-chocolate combo, and a ton of people raved about them😍
Daniel Smith8, thanks... they're simple, but they look classy... and they taste amazing🙂
I’m all for mixing up the flavors when you’re making a bunch of cakes... gives people more to choose from, you know? Plus, the servers usually just check in with everyone individually to see what they're feeling anyway.
I think you’ve got more than enough—honestly, probably overkill—but I guess it all comes down to how many people actually show up for dessert... at my place, we had so much food and so many different options that the sweets were basically an afterthought...
