Oh, and one more thing... the cover actually features a quote from The Washington Post saying the movie is absolutely hilarious! I didn't catch that at all. Anyone else?
What is this movie even about? 😕 Is it some awkward coming-of-age tale about rich kids dealing with late puberty? Or maybe just an insecure woman hitting menopause who can't get enough of younger guys? Is it like an American version of Romeo and Julia set in the seventies?
Seriously, the whole thing feels like a total hallucination. Like you're watching through the eyes of someone who’s been smoking way too much!
Honestly, the only good part is the soundtrack, and thank God there's plenty of it...
Bradley Barnes90 said:So, you calling that an expert opinion? This movie is absolute gold, you just have to wrap your head around it first...🙏 The cast is absolutely killer. This movie has so much depth that you could watch it ten or fifteen times and still find something new. Isn't it great when a film hits like that? Well, if you say so...🙂
Such a shame about this thread. If someone else had started it, maybe people would actually be talking?
So, what's there to figure out? 😕 Talk about depth, man. Seriously?
As for rewatching? No thanks. Once was more than enough for me.
Yeah, MR is definitely better, but even he’s kind of a drag... I mean, some parts of Moulin Rouge actually work, but there’s nothing interesting about Chicago—it’s just boring, pushy, and way too extra. But then again, if you stripped out all the fluff, there wouldn't be much of a movie left, would there? 😬
That movie about Mary-Kate Olsen from back in '03. I dig them, but I haven't actually sat down to watch it. Saw it on PBS yesterday. Supposedly it's some kind of reality thing. Like, they're just bickering or whatever. I can't tell if it's an actual reality show or just a movie *about* a reality show. Because if it's the first, it's not really a movie, and if it's the second, they're basically just playing themselves. What's the deal with this anyway?
Another one starring Michael Douglas. Honestly? It’s kind of a dud. Just a movie about nothing—like watching some professor go through life's most mediocre adventures. Totally unrealistic and just plain boring. It's the kind of flick you forget five minutes after the credits roll. You really don't need this one. Total waste of celluloid and even more of a waste of your time. Skip it! Avoid it at all costs!
