Struggling to sleep? Any tips? in Health ·
-make sure you keep your room well-ventilated so the air stays fresh
-maybe try sipping some chamomile tea before hitting the hay... or even a little melatonin if you really need it (though honestly, you could just go out for a smoke 😁 )
-if there's something weighing on your mind, just face it and get it sorted out
-try to tire yourself out a bit during the day with some exercise...

I can't sleep! Help! in Health ·
Ugh, my internal clock is just completely out of whack again... I didn't actually manage to crawl into bed until about 6:00 this morning, so I'm pretty much just heading to sleep now 😢
Do doctors actually have a moral code? in Health ·
I ended up voting for option B. To me, it feels like people are fundamentally just human beings, but when you’re in a profession that demands such high moral accountability, it creates this environment where the temptation to be unethical is much higher... And obviously, the more experience someone gains in those roles, the more likely they are to encounter—or succumb to—those kinds of situations.

I really agree with what was said above; at the end of the day, a doctor is only as good as the person behind the white coat...

Speaking from my own experience, I can tell you that people have indirectly tried to solicit money from me for two different surgeries... and yeah, they got it. It almost feels like we carry some of the blame for "training" doctors to expect those cash envelopes, but when a life is actually on the line, nobody is thinking about money—except, ironically, the doctors themselves... I'd like to think those types are in the minority, but they definitely exist...

From what I understand, everything follows the prescription strictly, including the cream itself, though you can still pick things up at the pharmacy without one if you need to...
The first two movies don't really have anything to do with each other, and I haven't even gotten around to watching the third one yet...☕
What is happening to me? in Psychology ·
There’s an old proverb that says, "Go directly into the heart of the danger, for that is where you will find safety!"
I really think you need to face those problems head-on instead of letting them weigh you down... honestly, the worst thing you can do is just surrender to a sense of "unlucky fate" by sitting around the house and letting the tears fall. You might be dealing with some heavy stuff right now, but you also have the opportunity and the genuine hope that things will turn around eventually... you just have to get moving and take that very first step. Maybe try scheduling another appointment with that speech therapist again... I truly believe you'll see that with every little bit of progress, everything will start feeling brighter, you'll feel so much happier, and those tears won't be necessary anymore.
Best of luck 😘
Bungee jumping: Any good spots near me? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
I spent some time dreaming about being over in Austria... As far as I know, you can actually go bungee jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge back home!

unknown 🙂

I honestly just don't know who I should even reach out to about this...
Help! My pet pea is acting weird!!!!!! in Health ·
Oh, I deal with those little bumps quite often too, so please don't worry about it... 😳
Most of the time, my upper lip starts swelling up overnight (honestly, I actually kind of dig that 😁 look), along with my eyes and the whole area around them—you know, those super puffy eyes—and my fingers tend to swell up really frequently as well.

But it feels like my sleep patterns are actually pretty normal 😉
Maybe there's some sort of connection to water retention in my body, though maybe I'm just overthinking things and talking nonsense... 😁
My experience with Ferrum in Health ·
Noah Myers8 said:Oh, come on, don't talk nonsense. You absolutely need Vitamin C for the body to absorb iron properly; honestly, it doesn't matter to the universe whether your anemia is mild or severe... And besides, constipation is actually one of the side effects you get from *not* taking enough iron.

I’d love to hear some doctor try to tell me I'm wrong about that...

If that were strictly true, why is iron often prescribed all by itself in most of these medical cases? It feels a little unlikely that every single doctor out there is making the same mistake... 🙄
I personally took mine without any Vitamin C at all, and my blood work improved significantly. Iron can still be absorbed without those extra supplements; it's just that the absorption process is a bit more efficient when you pair it with Vitamin C...

stormypilot3 said:Doesn't this tablet already have enough Vitamin C built in? As far as I know, this is pretty much the only iron supplement on the market where you don't need to worry about taking extra vitamins alongside it...

If we're just talking about mild anemia, you might not even need the Vitamin C, but if things are getting more serious, then yeah, you definitely want to take it with some C!
What are your thoughts on Natasha Kampusch? in Psychology ·
El Tomo said:Besides, we've seen stuff like this happen before. Does anyone remember that woman who was kidnapped by those far-left terrorist cells—I think it was an American group working with a German outfit, maybe the Red Army Faction or something along those lines? She was abducted, only to end up joining the very terrorists who snatched her just a few months later, actually fighting alongside them...

Oh, and if I recall correctly, once they finally tracked her down, they just tossed her straight into prison. Unbelievable!...

Zachary Rodriguez32 said:Vitamin C doesn't do a thing for me. When I'm heading out to high school in the morning after getting maybe four or five hours of sleep, there isn't enough Vitamin C in the world to wake me up...

Maybe just try hitting the sack earlier tonight😉>

I haven't really noticed much of a difference from taking Vitamin C myself... maybe you just need to drink a bit more of it to actually feel something.
I'm currently sitting here with a coffee, trying to focus because I have an exam tomorrow 😁 I'm not feeling sleepy just yet, but honestly, I'm definitely not in the mood to study either...😬

But hey, Red Bull—it really does give you wings...😁
Eating raw potatoes = getting the flu? in Health ·
Adam Palmer2, if you really think you're some kind of big shot, you’re going to end up looking like a total joke 🙂

Seriously, just stop trying to act tough before you end up making a fool of yourself... 😉
Eating raw potatoes = getting the flu? in Health ·
I think I’ll pass on that one... it doesn't really appeal to me much at all...😁
Why don't you give it a shot yourself and then let us know how it goes and what symptoms you end up feeling 😬 We might just end up having our very own reality show on our hands 😂
Eating raw potatoes = getting the flu? in Health ·
Wouldn't it be just a little bit easier to just fake being sick rather than actually breaking your back over those potatoes?

Fair enough, whenever you feel like it... 👍

You absolute soft-hearted killer... 😁

And honestly, why wouldn't we just start a dedicated thread for "unlimited" testing? I mean, new ones seem to pop up constantly anyway...
