Just a quick heads-up—we’ve had to take the search engine offline for just a little while.

Just a heads-up for everyone, the search function is currently down, which is why I haven't been able to dig through the old threads lately.

I’ve set this notice up to automatically expire on a specific date—which, in this case, is just the last day of the month—and I'll keep bumping it out as needed until we finally get this search engine mess sorted out.
Since it looks like that whole situation with the search tool is still hanging over our heads, I'm definitely going to extend this alert through the end of next month (May 31st).
Just to be super clear, though, that date isn't some magical deadline when everything will magically be fixed; it’s just the timeframe I've set for the notice to stay visible, and I'll keep renewing it if nothing changes.
As of right now, there’s still absolutely no word on when the search engine will actually be back up and running properly.

The thing is, even though they put out that notice, it doesn't actually guarantee the search tool will be back online by the 30th, you know? Honestly, you’re probably better off this way—if you ever find yourself second-guessing whether a topic actually fits in a specific PDF subforum, just shoot a quick DM to a moderator first and ask if it's okay to start a thread there. At the absolute worst, they'll just tell you "no," but in a best-case scenario, they’ll give you the green light or even point you toward a different subforum where it actually belongs.

I really think it would go a long way if they actually posted some kind of status update on that announcement, you know? Like, just a little note saying, "Hey everyone, we tried tackling this again today but ran into another snag," or even just, "We haven't forgotten about this, we're doing everything we can, but hang tight." It’s just a small thing, but it makes such a huge difference when you feel like the people running things actually care and haven't just tossed the problem into a black hole. It keeps us from feeling totally ignored!

Just thought I'd share this.

I honestly think Reddit would be your absolute best bet here, mostly because it’s easily the most active platform compared to those other three you mentioned—if you just take a quick look at the member counts on their subreddits, it’s pretty obvious which one wins out.
If your main goal is to get some eyes on your YouTube channel, I really think that’s the biggest factor you should be weighing up—basically, you just want to make sure as many people as possible can actually stumble upon your content.😁

The thing is, we can't really give you a straight answer because there isn't one yet, just like it was mentioned before. Nothing has changed regarding the info we have; all we know is that this situation is temporary. If anyone actually knew the exact moment the search feature would be back up and running, I'm pretty sure someone would have shouted it from the rooftops by now.

So, basically, you take that bolded chunk right after the equals sign and just tuck it right in between those (yt) and (/yt) tags, you know? You just use those little corner brackets—the ones you can pull up by hitting AltGr+F or AltGr+G at the same time on your keyboard
