Period talk: Questions and advice in Women's Health ·
It’s probably just the weather acting up...
It hits me pretty hard; because of this, my cycle was delayed by 19 days.😁

Just try to calm yourself, I'm sure it'll show up soon enough.🙂

Carol Harris64 said:Look, if you're saying it’s "late by 7 to 12 days," that implies your typical cycle is actually closer to 35 days rather than the standard 28. If it shows up every 35 days, then technically, it isn't late at all.
Plus, those kinds of fluctuations suggest things might be a bit inconsistent.
By the way, how old are you?
edit, have you checked in with an OB-GYN about this yet? It’s probably not ideal if it stays consistently irregular.

Changes in weather, moving to a new city, stress—that kind of stuff can mess with anyone. But if it's erratic month after month, it’s worth getting a checkup just to make sure everything is clear and healthy.

I actually went to see my doctor about three weeks ago and everything seemed fine, but my period is still running late... my doctor didn't seem particularly worried about the delay.🤷

Edit: I'm 20 years old.🙂

I’ve got a question too🙂

My cycle usually runs about 7 to 12 days late, which I’ve always just accepted as my "normal." But right before my last period, I moved to a new city and had to deal with a totally different climate—and man, that really threw me for a loop. My last period actually showed up on the exact same day as the one before it, which was weird. Now, this current one is already two weeks overdue.

I feel super bloated and I'm dealing with these dull aches in my lower abdomen, but there’s still no sign of anything happening.😕

Does anyone have an explanation for this?🙂

Rachel Walker45 said:Quick question for the ladies who usually take baths during their period. I’ve never really been a tampon user, so I was wondering if I should go for a larger size when I'm soaking in the tub to avoid any leaks, or does that even matter? Also, do I need to swap it out after every single bath, or can it hang on for, say, an entire afternoon? Just asking about a standard cycle—it's currently day three.

The size of the tampon you pick really just comes down to how heavy your flow is. It’s all about matching the absorbency to what's actually happening. And honestly, if you want some advice from someone who's been there, listen to what bloodly says—just swap it out right after you get out of the shower.🙂

I'm looking for pretty much anything except Maxi Poker, Gjuro XL, or those random mail-order catalogs...

Eating paper? in Health ·
Kimberly Nelson5 said:I’ve heard just about everything under the sun, but this takes the cake for being the absolute craziest thing ever... I ran into one of my daughter's friends today and noticed she had lost a ton of weight. Just joking around, I asked my daughter if the girl was maybe following some trendy UN diet since everyone seems to be on one lately. She looked at me dead serious and said, no, the girl actually came up with her own "original" weight loss plan, which basically involves eating paper (like soaking paper towels in water) 😲 Apparently, whenever hunger hits, she just eats a few soaked tissues to feel full, and she's been doing this for a month now 😲
What kind of health issues could this cause? Like, how does the body even process cellulose (paper)?

I've heard some models do stuff like that, or even get gastric bypass surgery.
It all feels so incredibly reckless...😲 😲
I’m definitely no medical expert here, but I’ve noticed something myself. Whenever I catch myself mouth-breathing and then try to switch back to breathing through my nose, it feels like I can’t get quite enough air in. It’s almost like there's a bottleneck, you know? But after a few minutes of adjusting, things settle down and it feels totally normal again.

Since you mentioned those sinus issues, have you actually had a chance to go see a doctor yet?
I’ve been getting about 7 or 8 hours of sleep lately, but I can tell my body is still craving closer to 9 or 10

Totally flat :( in Health ·
When I started high school, my chest was barely there—just a slight curve, you know? Then, almost overnight, during my junior or senior year, everything just suddenly developed.
Maybe it’ll happen the same way for you, too. Honestly, I’m really happy with how they turned out now.😍
Circumcision: Experiences and advice? in Health ·
Honestly, you should just pick your doctor's brain. If you're seriously considering going through with this, make sure you ask every single question that crosses your mind before any procedure happens.
My brother actually went through it himself, though I can't quite recall exactly how many stitches he ended up needing.😢

I’m looking for something shallow and thin, maybe with a bit of stretch to them—nothing that’s going to squeeze my butt too tight, but something that actually gives it a little visual lift😁. That would pretty much be the dream

It really is. I could only track down a 38.5 in Dr. Martens.

Haha, no, I’m actually being serious—I brush them all the time because having healthy teeth is huge, both for me personally and how people perceive you. It really does shape how others see you. That smiley face was just me wondering if I was overthinking it, if you know what I mean...

Amy Rodriguez16 said:I don't see any discoloration on mine. It was a bit uneven at first where the orthodontic bracket used to be, but that’s just because my dentist didn't quite smooth out all the leftover resin.
So, there are NO STAIN MARKS, provided you stay on top of your oral hygiene routine.

Oh, trust me, I'm all over it. I feel like I brush them a hundred times a day.😬

So, I was just wondering—how are your teeth looking these days? Like, do you have any staining or discoloration issues at all?

So, I’m one of those lucky people currently rocking some clear aligners😍

I’ve been wearing them for about seven months now, and since my treatment is almost up, I’ve started wondering about the actual removal process... specifically, how do you get the attachments off? And does anyone know the trick to getting those little rings off the molar bumps??

If anyone could shed some light on this, I’d really appreciate it😁 thanks so much

P.S. Has anyone else dealt with stubborn glue residue left behind??
Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
Walter Myers4 said:Listen up, if you're on the pill, remember this: you absolutely have to up your B-complex intake !

Seriously, using oral contraceptives often drains your B vitamins, which is probably why you're feeling all those symptoms you mentioned. It makes total sense.

The pill can totally wreck your levels of certain vitamins and minerals. That’s why I always tell women taking them that they really need to be looking at B2, B6, B9, B12, plus Vitamin C, E, magnesium, zinc, chromium, and selenium.

Will a B-complex alone be enough??
