You mentioned knee scans, and yeah—it totally makes sense that you need to beef up those quads to stabilize and protect the joint. But honestly, you didn't really say what's actually wrong with the knee itself... based on the little info I have here, my take is that you’ve got to balance out your diet. Beyond just getting enough protein to build muscle, you really need to bump up your Omega-3 intake to nourish those joints... but don't go overboard and ignore your other micro & macro nutrients either, you still need a full spectrum.

Obviously, you should run all this by a pro nutritionist who can actually map out a personalized plan for you based on your specific body composition and metabolism (just "ask me for free body analysis"). 😎

My cartilage is basically worn down—I don't even have any
lubrication (whatever that technical term for joint fluid is) left in my knee. I've been an athlete since I was a kid... so I'm definitely not out of shape, I've got muscle. But from what I gathered, she told me... I have the muscle volume, but it's not serving its purpose. And then we got into the whole nutrition thing... since I don't eat meat and stuff, she gave me some exercises...
I get that I need to work even harder
on my quads—honestly, I think I knew that even without her input.

electriclynx20 said:Hey guys—any tips on exercises for losing weight? I picked up one of those workout DVDs with Cindy Crawford, but honestly, it feels more like toning stuff rather than actual fat burning... I can't really go for runs, and my schedule is too messy for an aerobics class at the local YMCA. Does anyone know some good routines I can do right at home? And btw—is dancing actually effective for this?

Dancing is perfect if you want to slim down... maybe just hit up a club tonight, huh? 😎 😁 Okay, just kidding. But seriously, if you're looking to drop weight, watch what you eat... obviously you have to move, too. That DVD you bought is probably better for building muscle definition, whereas you need more cardio. If you're short on time—though we can always make time—
just walk to work or pick up the pace when you're out... trust me, that works wonders. Run, ride a bike... man, there's so much you can do.
There's plenty of options out there.......plus
keep using that Cindy DVD too.

I get it—meat isn't the only way to hit your protein goals—
And like I already mentioned—my doctor told me...
He basically told me I HAVE to start eating meat if...
I just want my foot to be back to 100%—honestly, I wish soy protein had half the power that this stuff does.
Connections... they're just like muscle. I mean, look—I’m probably a total madwoman because I can't even bring myself to touch meat. Obviously, the exercises matter too... I get it, you can't really skip that part.😁

rustymoose54 said:So, I’m guessing you aren't even touching fish?

If that's the case—honestly—just ask your nutritionist to give you a more specific game plan for eating right.

I really hope you're at least getting some cheese and eggs in.

I eat just about any dairy product... eggs mostly around
Easter 😁 and I rarely ever have fish.

So I posted this recently about building muscle
since I’m vegetarian. I started using
VeggieFuel protein—apparently it’s supposed to be top-tier
for people who don't eat meat... so I figured I'd see some actual progress
in a few months or whatever. But, uh, I just had some tests done on my knee and, honestly? Not great news.
My doctor basically gave me a polite lecture...
telling me straight up that my muscles won't grow without meat
and that these plant proteins I'm drinking aren't going to do much. He said I really need to strengthen my quads
so there's less pressure on the joint. He strongly suggested I
start eating meat, but I just can't—it seriously grosses me out. I get that meat helps with muscle, but my nutritionist told me these proteins should work. So now I'm stuck... obviously I care about
my health.

thx 😁
What are you doing to stay healthy? in Health ·
Staying active is my whole thing—it’s what keeps me happy and honestly just feels so fulfilling...
My mornings usually kick off with coffee and that one terrible habit, smoking,
sometimes I look at myself and wonder how I can be such an idiot 😠
—like, why am I consciously doing this to myself?! My family picks up local produce from the farmer's market, though avoiding GMOs entirely is basically impossible nowadays. Still, I’d say my diet is pretty solid since I don't eat meat... plus, I keep things varied.
Having some morning intimacy 🙂 🙂 man, that is just the sweetest thing... and mmm, so good. I can't start every single day like that since we don't live together, but it doesn't really affect my skin, haha—just my mood. As for sleep... I get about 7-8 hours, and I definitely catch up on rest before Sunday rolls around.🙂
I'm the type of person who laughs a lot and tries to make sure every single day
is filled with little things that bring me joy and time spent with friends who truly mean the world to me.😁 hmm, I guess that's pretty much the short version.
Bio tattoos in Health ·
Not much to say about bio tattoos—I don't really know much about them. My
friend has one and she’s actually pretty bummed because the color is fading way too slow for her liking.
I have a real one and honestly, I love it—I just got a new piece done recently 😁 and it didn't even hurt that bad... plus I'm heading back in this winter to get more... can't wait! 😍
Diet Coke in Health ·
My brother basically lives on Diet Coke😁—he drinks it constantly,
I don't know if you've heard those old urban legends... where you drop a piece of steak into a glass
of Diet Coke overnight... the soda eats right through it.😲 And when it comes to
calories, carbonated drinks are pretty loaded with them on their own.
Personally, I stay far away from them—almost never😁
So I used my lunch break at work to swing by
the doctor's office. Turns out, my issue is called Hyperhidrosis
in the armpits. They treat it with Botox—yeah, I know, usually people use it
for cosmetic stuff, but in my case, it’s a total lifesaver. As for the cost,
don't even ask, since it totally depends on which clinic you go to.
The procedure goes like this... they use tiny needles in the underarm area. Apparently, it works wonders, so I already booked my appointment—honestly, guys, I'm so stoked I can barely describe it.🙂

You dealing with anything similar—or no cap, just being real here 😁
mistybear4 said:a lot of health issues stem from specific nutrient gaps in our bodies—basically, the chain snaps at its weakest link depending on various factors, but the biggest one is diet, aka getting what you actually need...

doctors focus on treating illnesses and masking symptoms, but they don't know much about nutrition—honestly, I wouldn't say they have a clue—so I really don't see how they could give any real advice... I just don't see it.. 😎

if anyone is setting the standards for nutrition, it’s the research scientists—assuming their studies are headed in the right direction and the products they develop actually work perfectly, which I’ve personally seen to be true... and honestly, anyone can go out and verify that for themselves if they want to... there's no need to overthink it.. 😁

it's all pretty straightforward—if you feed your body exactly what it needs, it’ll produce the best possible results on its own. but who can even be sure about what they're actually eating these days? NOBODY!!! ... and if I had to put my trust in anyone, it would be those using the best technology available—people doing things 100% naturally and plant-based, with 25 years of experience and a global reputation—but most importantly, people who actually deliver results.. 🙂

some people make it sound way too easy.. 😁

I can tell you know your way around medical jargon and nutrition in general. I agree that every body reacts differently
when dealing with negative processes inside. Personally, I don't think my issue has anything to do with diet—though hey, I might be wrong. I found this clinic that handles these kinds of problems through acupuncture. Just booked an appointment for tomorrow, so we'll see. Hopefully, I'll get some answers. You still haven't told me how you're planning to help me out😁
mistybear4 said:well, you can talk to me... 😁

😁 but how exactly are you gonna help? 🙄
seriously though—this is a massive issue for me. the weather's finally warming up and I just can't get this under control!! just imagine—my doctor actually laughed when I brought it up, acting like it was nothing... I was 😠 , reaching out for actual help and what do I get? 🙂
thanks, but honestly, I’m just at a loss for who to even talk to about this... it’s becoming such a massive headache for me every single day...
I get that health is everything—I really do—but I just can't wrap my head around why this keeps happening to me.....😢
I usually cap it at three coffees a day—definitely two in the morning or I’m basically a zombie
otherwise I wouldn't even function, and that last one is usually just for when I'm hanging out late at night.
Obviously, drinking too much isn't great for you, but it really comes down to what kind of
brew you're hitting. For me though, my day just wouldn't happen without it.😁
We’re all dealing with stress on a daily basis—some more than others,
and we all know it can hit you both ways.
Over the last few years, I went through some really intense situations...
and I've noticed everything changed since then. Now, even the tiniest little
bit of irritation triggers sweating under my arms—which is the absolute worst because
I just can't control it!! It's driving me crazy, not to mention how
awkward it feels when it shows up on my shirt. I actually went to see my doctor, who referred me to a dermatologist, I think... so I went in expecting results,
but instead, this lady basically told me that some people just
get worked up easier than others, that it's probably just stress, and that I shouldn't let things bother me. She handed me some stick deodorant that does absolutely nothing for me—so now what? I seriously just want this gone.
If anyone knows anything about managing this, please help...

🙄
Tips for quitting smoking! in Health ·
Man, I’ve already tried quitting twice... but it just won't stick—it's like my fingers are physically missing something. The longest I managed was a week and a half... actually, let's be real, nothing. But I don't think I've ever truly made
that REAL DECISION. And honestly? I can't even imagine having my morning coffee without that one
cigarette... hmm. I have been thinking about what might actually push me to say NO, though—maybe if I were pregnant. But until then.......
😁
