High IQ and Narcissism: Fact or Fiction? in Psychology ·
David Nelson74 said:That’s just not true. My IQ is 84, which is well below average, yet somehow I’m still being accused of narcissism.

Dermatologists at Mayo Clinic in Health ·
So, here's the deal—I need to get some moles removed and a few warts that popped up lately... I was wondering if anyone has experience seeing dermatologists at the Mayo Clinic? I'm thinking about asking my primary care doctor for a referral first...
Or if anyone knows a good private specialist in the area who won't totally break the bank? It's just minor stuff, nothing too crazy..

The only thing is, I've had this bigger mole on my stomach since I was born, right near my waistline. It's kind of raised, and honestly, I'm getting a little nervous that things might get complicated??🙂
The movie was solid, honestly. Say what you want... I’m not exactly out here campaigning for same-sex marriage or any of those rights either. My whole vibe is just live and let live—don't go forcing your views on everyone else. That's just how I roll...👍
As for the film itself? As a piece of art, it actually holds up, which is a huge step up from most of the garbage they pump out on CBS and other networks lately.👎
Dry skin issues in Health ·
It’s not super flaky or anything, but my skin feels really tight. Plus, I’ve got all these tiny little bumps on my hands and legs, and the skin just feels super thin in those spots...👎

Yeah, I know all about that... thanks!😘

I definitely try to stay on top of it, especially during the summer months... back when I was living in Australia, I used a mix of jojoba and olive oil, but lately, I’ve mostly just stuck with olive oil here...

Thanks! Honestly, now that I'm living in California, I don't think it's a water issue. Everyone visiting from up north always mentions how soft the water is down here...😕

I don't even use birth control, so I have zero clue what circulation has to do with any of this...😕

Thanks! Maybe I’m just not drinking enough water... and I actually do the thing with the salt scrub pretty regularly. I don't overdo it either, and I always slather on some Nivea cream for dry skin right after my shower... It's so weird though, because my face and stomach aren't even acting like this.

My biggest issue right now is definitely my knees. Over the last year or two, the skin there has started getting super wrinkled and kind of messy... which honestly freaks me out a little. I really don't want to look 70 when I'm only 40... so lately I've just been sticking to dresses and pants that cover my knees because I'm so self-conscious about it, especially during the summer.😳

So, I’m dealing with some seriously dry skin issues. It’s not even really my face or stomach—it’s mostly my arms and legs... I’m 35 and honestly, I have no clue how to get that moisture back into my skin?????? Does anyone have any tips? I look at women who are 20 years older than me and their hands are somehow smoother than mine, which is just depressing lol. Help?????????
I’m not from New York City, I’m actually out in Savannah, so if anyone knows a good dermatologist in the area, please let me know!

it handles bleeding pretty much the same way birth control does, just isn't actually contraception.

Do you actually know what it is exactly? Like, is it plant-based or something?

Hannah Hernandez9 said:I actually just studied this for an exam (lol!), and apparently, if you're expecting a heavy flow, taking an NSAID (like ibuprofen...) a day before or on the first day can help. It lowers those prostaglandins, which aren't just responsible for the cramps, but also make the bleeding heavier. So, grab some Advil or something similar, but don't overdo it—definitely stay away from things like aspirin. Honestly, it's kind of weird that you aren't feeling any pain; that could be a sign of an anovulatory cycle, so maybe go get checked out by a doctor (but I'm probably just guessing here)

I definitely feel it, though not super bad... sometimes I can power through without anything, other times I gotta grab an Excedrin or whatever....but my second day is always pretty heavy, so that's just my normal.

I've noticed that if I've been under massive stress or pushing myself too hard physically, things can get way worse... about two years ago, I totally panicked because I was having these insane flows with clots, and that happened right after a job that absolutely wrecked me both physically and mentally.

Usually, when I'm chill and everything is pretty much under control, it's more or less manageable.

Wait, what exactly is an anovulatory cycle?

Gregory Lewis37 said:restlesshound27, when was the last time you actually went for a gynecological checkup? Seriously, go see a specialist and get some real answers.

Ugh, everyone kept trying to push birth control on me... but honestly, I don't have fibroids or anything, everything came back totally clear.

So, it varies for everyone... personally, my periods have been super heavy for the last decade or so. Which meant I was constantly dealing with anemia issues...

Michelle Phillips54 said:Why's that even an issue? Mine are super heavy too and usually last like 4 or 5 days. Seems totally fine to me. Honestly, it’d be weird if my period was just some tiny little trickle.

I don't know if mine counts as "normal" though... I feel like I burn through half a pack of those Always Ultra Night pads in just one day... specifically day two. How does yours usually go?

Question for the ladies out there: I’m dealing with some seriously heavy periods, especially on day two...
Does anyone else go through this? How do you even handle it? My cycle is super regular and usually lasts about 4 or 5 days.
Maybe this belongs over in the Health subforum?

I really don't want to go the birth control route. I tried it for a little bit once and honestly, the side effects were way worse than any benefits.

Help me out.

Thanks!

I just started this thread, but I’m actually hoping to delete it in maybe two or three days. It involves some privacy stuff regarding certain people... any idea how I can go about doing that?
