I’m definitely not pregnant—and I already had my thyroid checked out. My doctor was actually leaning toward a thyroid issue too, but turns out that wasn't it. The only things flagging in my bloodwork were my iron levels (way too low) and my blood sugar (running a bit high).

So, basically, just like the title says, I’ve been sleeping for three days straight. And I don't mean that "sleep, wake up, then go about my day" kind of thing. No—even while I'm typing this, I am so exhausted it’s actually unreal. Last night, I crashed at 9 PM, woke up at 3 AM, and then just drifted right back off until noon. On top of that, I can't even keep food down. I tried forcing myself to have some yogurt, but my stomach just rejected it immediately. I even went outside for a bit to try and clear my head—maybe catch some fresh air and snap out of it? But nothing works. I'm just hitting a wall again. My blood work came back fine, too, so... I honestly have no clue what's going on with me.

Nausea and everything smells gross—help!
in Health ·
Hey everyone,
I’ve been up all night throwing up—and honestly, it’s been a total disaster zone down there, too. Every single thing I try to get into my system, even just a sip of water, hits my stomach and immediately triggers these insane cramps before coming right back up.
On top of that, everything smells absolutely revolting... which obviously just makes the nausea ten times worse.
I’m definitely not pregnant,
It wasn't the drinks,
And I don't think it was what we ate, since the whole family had the same meal and everyone else is perfectly fine.
(I did have some seafood a few days ago, but that was back on the 31st, and this madness didn't start until yesterday afternoon.)
Any advice on what I should do?

Sure, maybe none of this matters much for those of us in our late 20s or 30s who are already fully developed—but from what I can tell, neonbear4 is still basically a kid... excuse me, a young guy who is still growing and developing. It’s not like anyone said things won't improve just because you're getting taller. My trainer always says genetics are about 90% of the battle when it comes to losing weight—meaning someone like me, with a whole line of overweight parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles (yeah, that's me), has to work about 90% harder than some girl from Malibu whose entire family is naturally thin. But look, don't listen to those "just stop eating" types of tips—and for heaven's sake, do NOT start smoking (shame on you, Maria Moore4). You need to find a way of eating that actually works for you. If you're mostly a meat eater, maybe try Atkins or Montignac; if you prefer veggies, go Mediterranean, or even that UN diet which I hear people swear by. Most importantly, though, get some blood work done. Look, for crying out loud, check your levels and see if your weight is just a matter of calories and lack of movement, or if there's something more serious going on under the hood. Try reaching out to a real nutritionist who can put together a personalized meal plan for you. Then, try finding a personal trainer—it's pricey, sure, but two months of coaching is usually enough to get you set up to fly solo. I'd recommend Equinox; they have both nutritionists and trainers on staff (feel free to PM me if you want details), and they're the reason I dropped 13 pounds—and they haven't come back. Anyway, hope that helps!
Quick cash advances based on credit cards?!
in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Please, do me a favor and don't fall for this garbage. These loans are just textbook predatory lending tricks—classic usury. If you take five minutes to do a quick Google search, you'll see exactly what's going on. Even if they advertise low rates, once you dig in, you're looking at 30% or 40% interest—and that’s only if you actually pay them back on time. But let's be real: paying on time is nearly impossible because these lenders often make it impossible to reach anyone when you need them, which just lets the interest pile up. And it isn't even just some shady individuals; there's usually a whole crew from major banks backing these schemes to pull off these fast-cash scams.
Anyway, the bottom line is that people are using Amex or other cards to buy goods at places like Best Buy just so they can get cash back. If I were in your shoes? I wouldn't touch it. Most major banks and credit card companies have perfectly decent financing options anyway.

Neck injury / Whiplash symptoms
in Health ·
Honestly, I can twist it any way I want—it’s not even my neck that's the problem. It's more like that spot where the seatbelt caught me... you know, that specific bone right in the middle of my chest? It hits whenever I cough or strain myself too hard.

Quick question,
I was driving and had to slam on the brakes—like, really hard—while I was picking up some decent speed.
The seatbelt yanked me so violently I actually lost my breath for a second (everything went black, blood pressure plummeted, blah blah blah).
I started feeling this ache in my solar plexus last night—you know, that area just below the chest?—but this morning it’s hurting like crazy. It doesn't hurt when I breathe, but any movement or direct pressure on the spot is brutal.
Is this normal? Like, is the pain just from the sudden jerk of the belt, or could there be something more serious going on? (Full disclosure: I’m a total panic attack prone person)

Fungal infection on my body, feet, and hands...

Every single time summer rolls around and I finally switch over to flip-flops—or sandals, or basically anything open-toed—those little spots start popping up on my big toe and heel.
And honestly? Nothing works. I feel like I’m scrubbing them a hundred times a day and slathering on every cream under the sun... but nothing sticks.
Seriously, does anyone have a real solution for this?

It’s not like it’s rude or anything, but maybe you could just drop those examples over in the other subforums—like the ones for nuts and stuff...
I'm just kidding—but honestly, posting about waste and all that in the specific sections meant for it is totally fine.
