The way things are heading, I, Robot feels like a very plausible outcome.

And if Americans keep acting the way they have been... Which movie features nothing but cockroaches and absolutely nothing else?

Hm, I missed it in theaters, but I'm waiting for the DVD release.

Aren't you all just used to seeing Carey in roles like this by now? Haven't you seen the Truman show or The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind? If you ask me, those are Carey's best films...

Wow, is that really how you feel about Stanley Kubrick?😲

To each their own, I guess.

Personally, I was pretty disappointed by Thomas Edison. At first, I only put it on because of Timberlake. But once I actually sat down to watch it, I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a solid thriller with decent characters, and even little Justin Timberlake wasn't half bad.
Then comes that part where everyone just starts shooting at everything and the whole movie goes to hell. Once LL Cool J showed up with the flamethrower, I honestly had to turn it off just to save myself the misery...

EDIT: Regarding Mystic River, I read the book and it is absolutely incredible, so the movie never really did much for me, but it's still a decent enough film.

I honestly think that ending for Taylor Swift was necessary; it showed her pulling that last-minute move to take down the beast. It was the perfect way to wrap up the Star Wars trilogy. But then what do they do? They go ahead and make a fourth installment and just completely ruin everything.

If you ask me, the Star Wars trilogy is top-tier, while the fourth one is nothing more than a parody...

The movie is solid, but I absolutely loathed the character Christian Bale plays. He spends the entire runtime pushing his friend around and screwing him over, only to end up killing him in the end. What an absolute jerk.

But that line, "I see dumb people..."😁

If they had just edited this down to focus strictly on the attack preparations and the actual combat, we’d actually have a damn good war movie on our hands. As it stands? It’s just filler. It drags on forever and feels incredibly dull.

I honestly think these dialogues are absolutely legendary!

''Got a watch?''
''Nope.''
''Well, at least you've got killer abs.''
''Just stay here.''

''You caught on, didn't you? Just like in some Hollywood flick. Good day, good day. Then comes the kidnapping. The high-speed chase through downtown. Then ice cream. And then the crew makes their getaway.''

''Come on, man, just sing us that one song.''
''Screw you.''
'Screw you, right in the thumb.'
War of the Worlds is absolute garbage....

I think the filmmaking itself is top-tier, the acting holds up, and honestly, I’m glad Cruise doesn't swoop in to save the world at the end. But the runtime? It's way too short. The movie starts, things go south, the chaos just keeps rolling, and then—bam—it's over. It feels like the director just wanted to get it finished and decided to toss half the script in the trash. In my opinion, this should have been directed by Emmerich. This is one of those movies that needs a solid two and a half to three hours to breathe, not a rushed 105 minutes.
Spielberg, you've got a massive strike against you from me!🙂

And speaking of trailers—look at Open Water. When you watch that trailer, it actually creeps you out; it triggers this genuine sense of panic because of how terrible the main (well, only) actors are. Then you sit down for the actual movie and it's pure filth. For the first twenty minutes, I genuinely thought I was watching an adult film...

The movie is garbage. It’s just a collection of clichés we've seen a thousand times before.👍

Since he’s easily one of the greatest directors working today—at least in my book—I figured he deserved his own dedicated thread. If there's already one floating around, please just delete this.

What would you say is his best work? For me, it’s Fight Club, though I don't think Se7en or Alien 3 fall far behind....

Have you guys ever noticed how every single one of his films has its own distinct color palette?

Alien 3 is drenched in orange, with constant dripping water and slime everywhere.
Fight Club uses this sickly greenish-gray, broken up by those occasional deep red scenes.
Se7en is almost entirely gray, save for that jarringly bright yellow sequence at the end.
Panic Room has this blue-green tint, all covered in a layer of dust.
The Game follows that same gray and black aesthetic, with occasional flashes of blue.

If anyone has seen Zodiac, let me know what the color scheme is. I’ve heard mixed things about it, but I’m curious...

I'm leaning toward thinking he was talking about GO Baby GO, but I can't say for sure—it's been ages since I actually sat down to watch the movie.

1972 Chevrolet Impala - Gone in 60 Seconds

That’s the list for now...

I have no idea who started claiming these movies were trash; if they had just stopped after the first one, we wouldn't be having this debate...

Most people probably know, but for those who don't, these films are based on the novels by Robert Ludlum, which were international bestsellers for years. We're talking about a trilogy here. Personally, I haven't seen anything better in that genre.

They introduced a fresh kind of protagonist—a cold-blooded killer who doesn't actually want the job. And honestly, I appreciate that there’s some gunfire and explosions without it devolving into mindless, non-stop action.

Look, the first film is the standout, the second isn't far behind, and I definitely expected more from the third. While the third is quite good, it still could have been handled better...
