As for Front 242—they really need that "Jesus is here" vibe. Or maybe just "no sex until marriage." 😬

And I guess a little bit of Skazi- wouldn't hurt either.

Try riding the buses in Chicago—where the drivers blast NPR at full volume—so everyone is forced to listen, without exception, as if they were all part of some organized society dedicated to such music.

Hear, hear...
The other day, while I was heading to my physical therapy appointment, I was essentially held hostage by NPR. Honestly, I was counting the minutes until the session finally ended. And the kicker? Every single staff member there looked like they weren't even thirty yet.

The only reason I brought that up is because—much like most people hanging out on this forum—I can't stand the Red Sox...
I mean, maybe the Red Army can actually pull off a US Open Cup win, while Chelsea FC goes after the Champions League... purely just so everyone realizes Roman Abramovich is the one calling the shots here...
young.but.dead said:Honestly, I’m rooting for the Red Sox to fail.

In all seriousness—I don't actually want that... Just kidding. Not that they’d get very far anyway...

I can at least respect the honesty...
As I mentioned in the thread title, the Red Sox managed to pull themselves into the US Open Cup Round of 16 which the commentators call the most massive tournament in Europe. After a 2-2 draw during the first leg in New York City, they played the rematch last night (02/24/2005)—and they actually pulled off a 0-1 win thanks to an 84th-minute goal, despite playing without their captain, Bob Paisley, who was sent off. So, the final score ended up being 0-1...

Now, look—even though I’m a die-hard Yankees fan, I suppose one really ought to acknowledge an achievement like this...

Up next for the Red Sox in the Round of 16 is the Red Army from Moscow.

Faithless is progressive—it isn't trip-hop at all... I guess.

Of all the night terrors out there, the ones where I’m plummeting—just straight-up falling—are easily the worst. I had this dream recently where I was walking along a cliffside, minding my own business, when this tiny blue (?!) gremlin suddenly appears, shoves me, and I start to fall. And I fall. And I just keep falling. Eventually, I realize I'm heading toward a target—you know, something solid that might actually stop the descent. But then, of course, everything goes sideways; I try to dodge through these obstacles, but I simply can't slow down. To make matters worse, every single time I narrowly miss an obstacle, I feel this sharp, stabbing sensation right in my gut... It was an absolutely revolting feeling...

Honestly, I could probably produce horror films on par with Stephen King's... if only I had the budget—or the sanity.

Of course, I can’t recall all of them—most slip my mind within five minutes of waking up—but occasionally, a particularly vivid one manages to stick around.

Just the other night, I dreamt I was with some random stranger, getting ready to head out for a little "action," only to find myself completely unable to perform... quite the awkward situation.

Then there were the truly moronic ones: I’m playing frisbee using whatever junk is lying around—CDs, DVDs, vinyl records, maybe even a grinding disc—when suddenly a stork flies down and takes a dump right on the disc. The disc then morphs into a UFO, starts firing laser beams everywhere, scribbles its signature in the sand, blasts off into space, and—get this—drops an egg on my head that somehow remains perfectly intact upon impact.

Well, let it be... maybe it'll grow...

How cool are mustaches? in Miscellaneous ·
I’m currently rocking a mustache paired with some stubble underneath—a bit of a goatee situation, I suppose. It actually looks decent enough on me (though, if I’m being honest, I’d probably prefer it if the mustache and chin hair were actually connected)
I've let myself go a little lately, though—haven't even bothered to shave... feeling like a total Chetnik...

nimblemarlin17 said:And honestly, it’s hardly a shock that the old American League was ranked so high—. Red Star was essentially the top club, and the country itself was much larger. A bigger nation—more players, more talent, more cash.

The America League (both in football and basketball, for that matter) was actually one of the powerhouses in Europe because they didn't just sell off their players for pennies—nor did they bring in cheap foreign imports. In fact, up until 1991, the America League was perhaps the only league in Europe where you'd see zero foreigners playing, aside from maybe Albania.
