Preschool isn't the same thing as kindergarten, and it’s definitely not mandatory... only that final year of preschool—you know, that "little school" phase—is required. My take? You don't pay extra for it if the kid is just doing that one year... but if they're already in daycare, it's usually bundled in so they get it done while they're there anyway.
So yeah, you basically just pay for daycare for as long as the kid is enrolled.
Does anyone know who actually handles the school deferral process?
We’ve been seeing a child psychologist because of some behavioral stuff and issues with eating. Her assessment was that our little one is emotionally behind for a six-year-old. She told us if things don't turn around soon, she’ll recommend we hold off on starting kindergarten for another year.
Even at his preschool, he’s struggling. While the other kids are focused on their lessons, he’s crawling under the table to play... he just has zero interest in writing or drawing.
He just wants to be active! He’s definitely smart, though—his preschool teacher swears by it. He can memorize songs easily and even knows how to add and subtract... but only when he feels like it, obviously.
Is this enough of a reason to delay school? We’re just so worried he won't be able to keep up with all the demands once he actually starts.
Yeah, that’s just my take based on what I've seen in my tiny little hometown...
We can't even switch out our pediatrician because nobody wants to be the one to cause a scene...and it's the same story with all the other doctors. Honestly, if I could just grab someone else, I totally would, but apparently, it's considered "unfair" to steal patients away from a colleague. That was the exact answer I got! I know it has nothing to do with the actual law, but there's nothing I can do about it here. Though, I have been thinking about making a huge stink about it. I mean, our local hospital is constantly making the headlines for all the ridiculous nonsense the doctors pull anyway. 😢
I get how it usually works... you go looking for someone new and then ditch the old one...
but I actually need to do the exact opposite... leave my current doctor behind and wander around with a cardboard sign looking for a new one?
why am I even searching like this?
it's simple,... because no doctor is going to take you on if you're already seeing someone else...
but if I don't have one, they absolutely have to see me...
Does anyone know what happens when you switch doctors?
In my case, it’s my OB-GYN...
Can I just show up and ask to take my medical records with me??
Like, is he actually required to give them to me? Or is there some rule saying he can't hand them over?
Basically, I don't have any other doctor right now because nobody will take me on—they all say I already have "my" doctor assigned...
I haven't seen him in 7 years, and honestly, I don't want to go back because he was incredibly rude...
How do I get my files out so I can finally move to a new provider? No one wants to deal with the headache of switching me over!
I finally picked them up! I actually traveled to Canada and grabbed them there for like a third of the price I was quoted by that lady here. I've been using them for three days now, so we'll see how it goes.
Honestly, I feel like I’ve tried every single vaginal suppository out there—Canesten, Nystatin, Betadine, Vaseline, Nystatin—and nothing has worked. Nothing! My lab results always come back totally normal, yet I'm still stuck dealing with these constant symptoms that just won't quit. For years now, I've strictly used Hygeia for my feminine wash.
Fingers crossed these herbal suppositories actually show some results!
You can stare at that website until you're blue in the face. Seriously! I ordered through their middleman and I haven't seen a single vaginal wipe even today. At this point, you might as well just start walking toward Canada...
So, my ultrasound report says my left ovary has mixed echogenicity.
What does that even mean? I'm constantly dealing with pain on that side.
The right one looks totally normal in terms of structure and shape... so that one is fine.
My veins are popping out on my hands too, and my blood pressure is super low. It looks pretty gnarly, but honestly, what can you even do? I’ve tried rubbing on various lotions, but nothing works—unless there was some kind of specialized cream specifically for this issue. Maybe something for varicose veins? Who knows, I haven't tried that yet.
Since this whole thing flares up whenever the weather gets warmer, I’ll sometimes dunk my hands in cold water for a bit. It helps them recede temporarily, but it's definitely not a permanent fix.
I’ve given them a shot! They actually helped me quite a bit. No more issues on my end, knock on wood... I mean, if you're dealing with some seriously heavy-duty infection, I doubt they'd be a total miracle cure. But for those milder flare-ups? If you jump on them right when the symptoms start, they definitely get the job done. They aren't exactly cheap, either... but honestly, they're way easier to take than some bitter herbal tea. You just grab them alongside plenty of water and you're good to go.

Or, put another way, what kind of evidence would it take to make *you* rethink your entire worldview?
(And I mean regardless of where you stand—whether it's religion versus atheism, being a vegan versus a meat-eater, or even smoker versus non-smoker.
)
Is there truly anything capable of triggering a radical shift in how you see the world? Because if the answer is "no," how can we honestly expect anyone else to change their mind?
Changing someone's mind isn't impossible, but man, if they're dug in, it's an uphill battle. On the flip side, if someone is easily swayed by others, it's a breeze.
Personally, I don't think either extreme is great. It's totally normal—actually, it's healthy!—to evolve your perspectives as you go through life. You shouldn't have the exact same outlook at 40 that you had when you were 20.
People usually only undergo radical shifts when they're facing a crisis. It's basically survival mode.
Like, when they get sick or hit a massive wall in life, they change because they absolutely have to.
And honestly? People change when they *want* to. Trying to force a mindset shift on someone else is just a lost cause.
