Around here, pregnant women are treated just like everyone else. You wait your turn, nobody cuts you in line, and nobody expects special treatment on the subway.
I guess when I first moved here, I was actually a bit shocked that people don't automatically stand up for the elderly on the train. 🤷
Right now, I'm just annoyed because I have a massive craving for some sour cabbage, and I doubt I'll be able to find anything even close to it around here. 🙂
That actually brings back some memories. I used to spend hours just staring out the window, and my grandma would give me this horrible look because I wouldn't get up. As if I’m supposed to just hop right up with a broken leg. 😂
I don't know, personally, being stuck on a city bus feels like a coma. It’s just suffocating and smells terrible. 🤷
I haven't gained any weight in my stomach or anywhere else during these weeks, and I just found out today that something might be wrong with my baby because I haven't put on a single pound in my legs or elsewhere 😂 It doesn't really bother me; if anything, it’s just amusing because it speaks volumes about the intelligence of whoever I'm talking to. 😁

Honestly, women my age—regardless of whether they’ve had kids or not—are really starting to grate on my nerves with all these side-eye comments about me getting an epidural. Like, why does anyone actually care how I choose to handle labor? It’s none of their business. To be honest, I can't decide which type is more exhausting: the ones who have given birth and admit it was terrifying but survived, yet still act like they're too "tough" for an epidural.
Or the ones who haven't even been pregnant and try to "comfort" me by saying, "Oh, labor starts so fast and ends so quickly, you won't even have time for the epidural!" I don't even know how to respond to that. Honestly, I just want to ask if they happen to have Lev Yashin’s phone number handy, because if this baby is flying out of me that fast, I’m gonna need a pro to catch it.
I constantly try to stay non-judgmental and avoid mocking other people's choices, but then comments like these just completely blow it for me. Just yesterday, I actually texted a close friend of mine at 3 p.m. telling her we seriously have nothing to discuss regarding this topic. First off, I’m the one having the baby, not her. Second, she isn't pregnant—she never was. And third, I have always been pro-epidural. I’ve never had the slightest interest in going "natural." If someone else wants to do that, fine, go for it.
It’s the exact same headache when it comes to the fact that I didn't take my husband's last name—I just added it. What is wrong with women these days?! What is driving them crazy? You're dealing with your own stuff, leave me to mine. I don't judge you, so who gives you the right to roll your eyes at my decision?
*** Oh, and get this: my husband's cousin asked him when we were moving in with his family. I was speechless. When I asked him why, he just said, "To help us out, obviously." If we ever actually need help, trust me, they'll find a way to "help" us. It’s not even about the money or the house; it's just the mindset of a thirty-year-old acting like that.
Then I guess I'm even worse 😂 We actually sat down and talked about this before we ever considered marriage (because it's not like I'm getting married just because I'm pregnant), and we agreed that I would keep my own name. I wouldn't just add his to mine; I'd stick strictly to my own.😁
I guess I placed another order, so we'll see how it goes. For what it's worth, my routine is pretty intense—I floss at least twice a day and rotate between a manual brush and an electric one, using fluoride-free paste and finishing off with mouthwash. It's mostly because I know the ones I have now are absolute garbage...
On top of the usual bleeding gums, I’ve already had to get one tooth fixed, and now I’m spotting this tiny black spot on my lower left premolar. My teeth aren't exactly high quality to begin with, so I tend to obsess over them like a maniac, but I honestly didn't expect to be dealing with two cavities by the time I'm three months pregnant. I guess if this is how it starts, I can only imagine what happens by the end of the pregnancy.😢>
I’ve realized I just can't stand ricotta anymore. 😠 I guess I’m just too forgetful when it comes to stuff like this. tooth !! Is it just me, or is everyone struggling with them?? I’ve already had to make an emergency trip to the dentist, and it’s only been three months. 🙂
The nausea is starting to subside, thank God. I’m also not feeling quite as exhausted as I was at the start, though I've just become incredibly lazy! :eek I honestly have zero motivation for anything right now. Plus, I don't even have to work 🙈
Honestly, everything is just getting on my nerves lately. 😳 I’m craving coffee, but even the thought of it makes me feel nauseous. My digestion has basically ground to a halt. 🙂 And the smell sensitivity? It's unreal. Everything stinks—from the dog and hairspray to random plants and flowers. Then there's the constant weakness and nausea. But the absolute worst part is how incredibly greasy I feel all the time. I have zero motivation; everything feels like such an uphill battle. I'm only in my third month, and reading stories on here about how other pregnant women are full of energy just makes me feel even more depressed. So, yeah... there's plenty more where that came from. 🥳
