There is nothing quite as soul-crushing as watching an athlete hit their absolute peak, only to have it all evaporate because of something completely out of their control. You spend years grinding, sacrificing every social event and every bit of comfort, all to reach that one window of time where you're supposed to be at your best. Then, one bad moment, one freak accident, and the dream is just... gone.
I remember watching a friend of mine go through this during his college track season. He was the guy everyone was betting on, the one who looked untouchable. When he went down, it wasn't just his disappointment that hurt; it was seeing the collective deflation of the whole crowd. It changes the entire energy of a competition when the person everyone expected to dominate is suddenly just a spectator.
It makes me wonder if the pressure of being the "sure thing" actually makes these physical setbacks even harder to process mentally. Does the psychological blow ever truly heal, or do you always carry that "what if" with you when you step back onto the field?
Look, man, I didn't realize you enjoyed acting so condescending when you don't actually have the facts. ☕
What’s so strange about them not releasing the schedule yet, considering they’re probably still finalizing contracts with the artists? Besides, does the exact timing really matter that much to you? If you actually care about the music, you'll buy a ticket. It shouldn't be hard to figure out the timing once everything is posted around June 24th or 25th.

If only there were some kind of rule requiring filmmakers to actually cut the fat. I'm so tired of sitting through endless, unnecessary scenes that serve absolutely no purpose other than padding the runtime.😁
That’s exactly it.👍 That exact Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels are the gold standard. For me, they aren't just movies; they are the very definition of cinema. When someone brings up the word "film," those two are the first things that come to mind. Is there anything else out there that even touches that level? They don't have a single weak spot. Anyone who has sat through them knows exactly what I mean. The acting, the direction, the editing, the cinematography... honestly, is there a stronger word than perfection to describe it all?

Zidane would be right up there too. I can't believe some people are making these claims about him being an unfair player. Just because he had a look that could intimidate a whole stadium doesn't mean he lacked integrity on the pitch. He was tough, sure, and maybe a bit rough around the edges, but he never played dirty.
Jaap Stam, thank you for everything you’ve done for the game and for the pure joy of watching you lead the charge from the back. This hits hard. Honestly, one of the saddest moments I've dealt with lately. The only thing that moved me quite this much was the tragic passing of the legendary Colin McRae. He realized he couldn't give this club his absolute best anymore, so he decided to hang it up for good. You have to respect that kind of integrity.
That’s exactly it. Honestly, the movie holds up just fine. And for those who clearly skipped history class: the ancient Greeks actually invented the crossbow, so please don't try to lecture me on historical accuracy when you don't even know the basics yourself.

If you weren't paying attention at the start, the film explicitly states it's the year 250-something; so we're looking at the 3rd century.
