Harold Cook2 said:Honestly, what gets under my skin the most is just not being able to show my face anywhere without some random person breathing down my neck. It’s always the same tired questions—"Are you okay now?" "Did you have the baby yet?" "What happened?" "You look so swollen, you look like you're about to pop." It's constant, man.😠 I swear, I don't have the energy to sit there and explain my life story to every single person I run into.😛 They are just exhausting, seriously. That's it. My little one won't even leave the house, so we're basically stuck inside.😍

I'm right there with you... But, if I'm being honest, there's a small part of me that's actually glad people remember I exist. Though, it's equally infuriating to realize that the people who *should* be checking in are the ones staying silent. That's what really stings. haha
Harold Cook2 said:And you think that's bad? You should see the absolute lunatics living above me. They've been in this apartment complex since '94, and honestly, I've never met such total maniacs. All day long, it's just constant dragging of heavy furniture, banging, slamming... they even chop wood right in the middle of their kitchen. Total freaks. 😠 And don't even get me started on the husband—the guy rolls in drunk every other day and starts beating his wife. She's screaming, things are flying across the room... I'm seriously just waiting for my ceiling to cave in one of these days. Absolute psychos. It’s all fine until I have my baby, and then what? When the kid finally falls asleep and they start the fighting and the slamming again? My child is going to be traumatized. It’s gonna be a complete circus, and let me tell you, I am definitely not putting up with that.

I honestly cannot wrap my head around that. Why on earth would you be dragging furniture around constantly? My neighbors are bad enough—it’s like they’re rearranging their entire wardrobe every single day... Have you actually said anything to them, or are you just biting your tongue?

My situation isn't nearly as extreme as yours, so I feel a bit silly complaining, but it still gets under my skin...
I am honestly at my wit's end with these new neighbors living directly below us. They have this relentless habit of dragging chairs and heavy furniture across their hardwood floors at all hours of the day and night. It is absolutely maddening. I genuinely cannot wrap my head around how they sleep through it; the constant scraping sound is driving me up the wall, not to mention the fact that they’re likely gouging up those nice floors 🤷.
Noah Ramirez7 said:Ugh, my sister is seriously driving me up the wall... I honestly can’t believe how dense she is, though actually, maybe it’s not her being stupid, it’s just me for letting her get away with this stuff. Anyway, she’s pregnant—which, let’s be real, basically everyone is for those nine months—and during this whole stretch, she went out and bought these fake little baby tights for $4.00... unbelievable... seriously... total trash. Then last week she calls me up asking if we can lend her $100 because she apparently got a lien put on her house over some unpaid Avon bill! And of course, this triggered this massive blowout between me and my husband because, surprise surprise, she blew all the money she got from her girlfriends and now she's broke and expects us to bail her out, even though I don't need the cash... it feels dirty or something, you know? Plus, I don't need to buy anything for the baby yet; things just kind of show up when they need to, or am I supposed to just wait until the baby arrives and then what? 🤷 Wrap the kid in a bedsheet?? 😠 And look, it wouldn't even be such a huge deal if she hadn't sat there at my in-laws' place on Sunday bragging about how her hair stylist is coming over on Wednesday to cut and color her hair. My mind immediately went to "oh, she's using my money for that," obviously. So I bring it up to my husband later and he, the idiot, goes, "Who cares what she spends it on, she said she'll pay it back by the end of the month." He's said that a hundred times before and it never happens, but there I am, getting worked up and looking like a fool again. Then, get this, she calls me yesterday morning to say she gave birth (four days early!) and asks if I can lend her diapers and some other supplies because she "didn't have time" to go shopping. Well, newsflash: I won't need anything until the baby is three months old, so she can just give them back to me when I actually need them, right? Eeeeeeeeeeee, I finally just snapped. This is my first baby and I want everything to be brand new for him, especially cloth diapers... I don't want someone handing me back used crap. Everything I've bought, I picked out with so much love and care for my little guy. Then last night my husband talks to her and she tells him that I told her I'd bring the stuff over, so he passes the message along to me. And I'm like, seriously? Am I some kind of joke or is it written on my forehead? Did she really not realize she was pregnant for these nine months? Or that she actually needs stuff for a baby? And he's just like, "I don't know, what did you two agree on?" I told him I should just call 988 and talk to a professional about this mess. I mean, seriously... so I finally just lost it and told him, fine, I'll go buy the diapers, but she can forget about anything else. And those $100 for under the baby's head? Forget it. I am so done with everyone pulling my leg from every single direction. On top of that, I'm such an idiot asking my niece a few days ago if I could have her stroller since the little one hasn't slept in it for two months, simply because my sister isn't capable of buying one herself! But she has money for everything else—makeup, hair, clothes, whatever—but for the baby? Nothing. Well, guess what, I don't have it either, and even if I did, I'm not giving it. Not to mention his parents are the exact same way. Like I'm some kind of Federal Reserve where anyone can just take whatever they need. Well, here's a tip for all of you: :2up: I am officially done letting people screw with my head.

I have absolutely nothing to say to that... I just can't stand these "family martyrs" who act like they're constantly struggling and always need a handout, even though their houses are perfectly fine and they have plenty of cash to burn. It’s always the same old line: "Oh, you guys have it easy, things are simple for you." Meanwhile, we've been pinching every single penny from the very first day we started saving together as a couple.🙄 ☕

It doesn't really get under my skin normally,
but lately, people have been crossing the line...
So, I just don't tell anyone anything.
I just tell them we haven't made up our minds yet,
and they'll just have to be patient until the baby arrives...

Honestly, the only thing that actually hurts is when I mention we're having a girl,
and I get those comments like, "Well, as long as she's healthy, a boy will come along eventually..."
Yesterday, one of those remarks nearly had me in tears...

I'm right there with you. Those comments... "as long as the baby is healthy"... it’s like being female is some sort of consolation prize. It makes me feel absolutely terrible, like I somehow need to justify my child's existence. To make matters worse, it feels like everyone in my social circle is having boys lately.

Every single name we’ve even whispered out loud has been picked apart by both me and my husband. Honestly, the whole thing is getting on my last nerve. 😠 We aren't picking a name until the baby is born. If they want to act shocked when we finally register her, let them. They can deal with it!
I’m currently at the 19-week mark, and honestly, I think I can hang on for another couple of months or so... though I’m counting down the seconds until I finally get out of here 🙂....By then, I should have my three weeks of vacation plus those 45 days of maternity leave waiting for me. Yay me. 🤣
I just really hope everything goes smoothly and I don't end up dealing with any sudden medical complications before I can actually reach that finish line.
Ladies, I’m currently 18 weeks along, and I’ve just realized that my body is already producing milk—or something very close to it. I’m seeing little spots on my nipples every single day!!!😲😲😲

At first, I honestly thought I was just overthinking things or being paranoid, but now I know better! It happens constantly, just a few drops here and there. It is honestly so gross... ugh... and it's happening so incredibly early. Has anyone else dealt with this this far into their pregnancy?! 🤣

shadowcyclist said:There was a period where I wasn't sexually active, and shortly after things resumed, I started experiencing pain in my lower abdomen. It began as a dull ache, then transitioned into sharp, intense pains that eventually migrated toward the left side. Honestly, it felt so severe that I had this terrifying sensation like my ovary was going to just slip out... I initially suspected it might be another yeast infection, which used to plague me quite often when I was on birth control, though I haven't taken any pills for about three months now. Aside from that, I've never really dealt with anything like this before.
I went to see my OB-GYN today, and she suggested that it’s likely some kind of cyst. She prescribed some medication intended to trigger a rupture, which should bring on my period immediately afterward.
Could anyone share some insight based on your own experiences regarding cysts in general? I am particularly interested in learning more about the symptoms and anything else you think is relevant. It's just so difficult to wrap my head around how something like this could suddenly manifest out of nowhere...
Thanks

So, did they perform an UZV to check it out?!

Hi there.....

Wow..... I have seriously never heard of a value being that low before.👍🙏
It’s highly likely we're looking at a fungal infection... I went through the exact same thing. All my swabs came back perfectly fine, yet there was clearly some sort of fungus going on. It wasn't even an itchy situation for me; it was just that specific yellowish discharge... honestly, it was a total mess. I’ve already done a little digging on Google regarding this.

coastalseal2 said:My mom just had an ultrasound where they found a clear 2cm cyst on her ovary. The doctor mentioned there’s some kind of septum or partition inside, but if I understood correctly, there’s no blood flow issues and no fluid buildup, which she said is a good sign...
Based on those results, she saw her gynecologist, who recommended getting CA 125 tumor markers checked. He did say there’s no immediate rush, though, because he also thinks it’s likely nothing serious.
Mom is 47. Her last checkup was back in October, and they noticed a little shadow on that ovary then. They advised her to come back for another ultrasound in a few months, which brings us to this recent one. Her cycle is totally fine; the only thing is she gets a sharp, short pain in her lower abdomen every now and then. It happens really rarely and she’s actually felt it even before they discovered the cyst.

Honestly, just hearing the names of those markers sent both of us into a panic!!! Has anyone else dealt with something similar???
Thanks Saloma.

Look, those markers are pretty standard procedure during a cleanup. A value up to 30 is totally normal. Personally, I dealt with a benign tumor that was 7 cm, and my CA 125 was sitting right around 90. When you're actually looking at carcinoma, those numbers skyrocket much higher than that.

I'm crossing my fingers that everything turns out fine...
Thomas Roberts9 said:Why don't you just undergo treatment at the same time and start using condoms to finally get rid of this? 😕

We’ve been trying to treat this, but clearly, it hasn't worked. Honestly, it felt like we were finally making some headway a few times recently, but back to square one. I’m starting the Lactogyn regimen again, so let's see how things settle after a month of therapy. We'll see if my body actually decides to cooperate this time.
Candida is actually a fungus...

In my case, it honestly doesn't seem to be linked to anything specific. I've just got it... and I’m genuinely curious if things will finally settle down once I stop using birth control. Some people claim there's a connection there, suggesting it might have to do with whether vaginal pH levels are staying where they should be.
That’s exactly how I felt too... I was convinced things were going way more south than they actually were. But in the end... it's "just" some stupid Candida... I feel like I have it practically all the time. My boyfriend and I just keep passing it back and forth.🙄
Struggling with the approach... down there in Women's Health ·
It’s most likely an ingrown hair. Honestly, you wouldn't believe the chaos one tiny little thing can cause...

I ended up digging into my own boil and managed to pull out a hair about an inch long—though, let's be real, I have a bit of a masochistic streak. The second I finally yanked it out, the whole thing deflated within two hours. I deal with ingrowns constantly, so I guess I've just spent enough time "practicing" on smaller ones to know what I'm doing, haha.🙄

Look, it’s whatever. You can't force them to take you if they've already made up their minds. Just move on and find someone else...

Can I just handle the application on Broadway? Like, without having to go back to see this doctor again?

I know the paperwork goes to the office on Broadway, but my real question is: what happens if the doctor refuses to take on new patients?

If they say they’re full, then they’re full... I don't see why you'd put quotes around that. They get paid per patient; unless they are genuinely drowning in work, they aren't just turning people away for fun.🙄

Just find someone else.

Look, your primary care doctor doesn't need to be right in your neighborhood. If you prefer someone halfway across the state, go for it—it’s your choice.

Switching doctors isn't some massive bureaucratic nightmare, either. You just find a physician who actually has openings, fill out the paperwork, and if you're moving from New York City over to Broadway, that's basically all there is to it.

I feel compelled to weigh in on the post above.

You have to realize that treating mental health issues is incredibly difficult work; while modern therapies are excellent, they aren't a magic wand. You also need to understand that you can't just take endless sick leave because of anxiety—it’s not that simple, as everything is strictly monitored by the Social Security Administration...
Furthermore, I actually think it's perfectly fine that they're trying to comfort you by suggesting your struggles are purely psychological. Honestly, if it's a chemical issue, there isn't much else that's going to help you besides antidepressants.🤷
Charles Newman3 said:You should definitely, absolutely look into Dr. Amy Koco over on 8th Avenue—I’ve been going to her for ages now and honestly, I can't say enough good things. She’s incredibly sharp, always staying on top of the latest training and certifications, plus she’s relatively young, which brings such a great energy to the practice. What I love most, though, is that you can actually talk to her—it feels less like a clinical interrogation and more like catching up with a friend. Her nurse, Ivanka, is also just fantastic. I’ve been a patient there for about 13 years now, and if I think back, I don't recall a single bad experience or even a minor hiccup.

I couldn't agree more!

She actually just moved into a newly renovated clinic over on 8th Avenue, still within the Folco area. It looks world-class—totally different from that old facility they used to have.
Wishing the doctor nothing but the best!
