Trouble waking up in the morning in Health ·
Angela Miller3 said:This sounds like depression to me, or perhaps you're just feeling low because of everything else going on. I get that PCOS is a real issue, but it’s manageable with the right medication. If the pills you've been taking aren't cutting it, go talk to your gynecologist and find a regimen that actually works for you.
If your neck is acting up, your pillow might be the culprit, though some people say neck pain can also stem from stress. It could also be your thyroid causing that constant fatigue. You really should get some blood work done—check your iron levels, thyroid hormones, and so on. Sit down with your doctor and run those tests. It’s probably nothing serious. Good luck.

I was on birth control for a few years and eventually just quit—my mood was all over the place, swinging between being insanely happy and totally miserable. I think I need to get my thyroid checked out; my gut is telling me that's where the issue lies. Thanks.

goldenbadger47 said:What would you say are the typical symptoms for Endimion17?

My mom just had what seemed like a standard sore throat—until her tonsil actually ruptured...
They were terrified it might be throat cancer...😠 🙂

From what I've gathered, I don't really believe in "minor" symptoms—I mean, every single symptom is essentially a signal from the body that something isn't quite right—it’s just that sometimes, identifying the actual cause is the hard part...

Yeah, well—that’s exactly my issue. I was hoping someone might be able to connect the dots on everything I mentioned, since nothing seems to fit a standard profile. It isn't just acne or excess hair—it's more that my body is clearly sending an SOS, and I can't pinpoint why. My last blood panel came back completely normal.

If anyone has leads on alternative treatments or recommendations, let me know. I'm willing to try just about anything at this point...

goldenbadger47 said:Maybe you're just low on vitamins, or something else entirely...🙂 I'm really not joking here—I went through the exact same thing once; I was anemic, so my doctor put me on iron supplements and some other vitamins...

It could also be stress—maybe you just need to take a break, head out for a weekend trip somewhere, and just... recharge.😍

Currently sipping some iced coffee, but I definitely need to step up my fruit intake. I eat plenty of veggies, but fruit isn't really my thing (thankfully, fruit season is almost here with stuff I actually like and am not allergic to—can't wait)

As for recharging, once this exam is over on Monday, I'm heading to the coast for 5 or 6 days. Just counting down the days. 😍

Thanks for the advice, goldenbadger47 😘

But look, just go get checked out by a doctor first. Your symptoms are... I don't know how else to put it, they're just kind of "typical."

haha, nice one...

Anyway, I actually picked up a new mattress two weeks ago—Tempur-Pedic style, but a domestic brand. As for that comment about my symptoms being "typical"—I'd love to know how you'd feel if you woke up every single morning feeling completely wrecked and exhausted, with zero energy to do anything, especially when you're only 25 and this isn't exactly how you usually live... just drained.

Anyone, anyone? Any advice at all?

Like the title says, I wake up every single morning feeling absolutely wrecked—like someone ran a steamroller over me all night. Though, if they actually had, my spine might be a little straighter than it is now... Every time I move after waking up, my joints make that clicking sound—you know the one. I feel trashed, even if I didn't hit the gym the day before. There’s also this constant "heaviness" in my head, mostly concentrated at the base of my skull. That’s the part that really worries me; I don't want to spend my mid-twenties feeling perpetually exhausted and basically walking around like a zombie.

I'm not sure if there's a connection, but I also have PCOS. I stopped treating it with birth control pills because the nausea was unbearable, and now I'm dealing with GI issues too (got an appointment coming up soon, likely looking at a gastroscopy).

Honestly, it's getting depressing. Not long ago, I was a healthy young woman—active, athletic, no acne, no excess hair, and without these massive emotional highs and lows.

If anyone has any advice, please share.
Alright, thanks for the heads up... I guess I'll just head out an hour early then.
So who am I supposed to listen to now? Rachel Brooks63—you’re telling me there won’t be an issue if I space my antibiotics out by 11 hours, while Brenda Hayes36 insists they have to be strictly on that schedule.

I'm currently on a triple antibiotic regimen. My schedule was set for 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM. Today, I slept through my morning dose 😲 and didn't get them down until 12:30 PM. Is it okay if I push my next dose back to 11:30 PM—essentially waiting 11 hours instead of the usual interval?

Thanks

Honestly, I have no clue if they even carry them in Smalltown, USA or any other suburb outside the city center. 😬

Heh, nah, I'm not in the mood for the whole parking nightmare debate—just figured maybe there's one in a neighborhood like Brooklyn or Queens or something.

Where can I pick up concert tickets in the US? Ideally somewhere away from the downtown chaos. Thanks
I used to get those same nerves—feeling like everyone was watching and judging—but once I realized that I’m doing fine and that some random stranger's opinion doesn't actually carry any weight, everything changed. Like dustyowl29 said, you're still young—things have a way of settling into place eventually.

Lawrence Jackson84 said:So, you took a spill last night and you're still swollen today? 😲 😲 😲

Don't go messing around with that. 🤣

I know it sounds ridiculous, but I just wiped out on my rollerblades—nothing major, really. I've got a bloody 1.5 cm scrape on my arm, a smaller one on my knee, and honestly, I've never stayed this swollen for this long. Even years ago when I faceplanted 😲 and ended up looking like a balloon, the swelling went down within 24 hours. That’s why this is throwing me off.

That's exactly why I was asking if this is normal.

Donna Clark77 said:Hey tuka, did it ever cross your mind that this swelling might actually be a fracture or something? 🙄
And honestly, instead of relying on some old-school home remedies, maybe just seeing a doctor would be better?

Oh, right... my bad. Everyone in medicine is evil and corrupt—better stay far away from them. Besides, you’ve still got two arms and two legs, so at least you're mostly intact 😈

Nothing's broken—I've already checked everything myself 😬 !!

Amy Rogers2 said:You probably wouldn't know, but try putting slices of peeled potato on the swelling and wrapping it all up in some kind of cloth. That worked for me!

Thanks for the tip. Though—is an ice compress off the table, or what?

... ice on my knee and arm, but the swelling hasn't gone down at all. Is that actually normal?
Honestly, just go see your primary care doctor instead. Have them take a look and write you a referral for a dermatologist—this isn't something you want to mess around with.
