I honestly can't wrap my head around people who spend two hours filming everything on their phones. 😵 You pay for an expensive ticket, show up to see your favorite band, and then spend two hours struggling with memory cards and trying to catch the perfect shot instead of actually enjoying the music. And for what? A few shaky, out-of-focus clips to post on YouTube? It makes no sense. 🤷

I usually lose about two pounds at a concert because I dance so much, jumping around and letting loose...😍 naturally accompanied by a beer and a cigarette.

I usually wear black (even though I'm not really a goth girl) and do my makeup nicely...

Sometimes I even try to hunt down an autograph.

Mostly, I don't take any photos and I don't carry a camera.

I go either by myself or with friends (who don't necessarily share my taste in music).

Who needs drugs when there are such great bands playing!!!🙏

The hardest part is looking back on my time in the hospital and dealing with the psychiatrist there...
All he would ever tell me was, "You're not normal!!!" It really took a toll on
me.

My current psychiatrist is actually quite reasonable and empathetic, though.
I think his easiest way of handling things is just prescribing the medication.

Sometimes I just wish I had someone I could truly vent to, but that’s the "unstable" part of my life—I don't have
anyone...👎

I know a few people dealing with this, and I've seen what the medication does—it can turn someone into a vegetable, leaving them with nothing.

I think it might help if you could get your hands on some books about the condition, perhaps some works by authors specializing in psychology or this specific field.

Since you aren't at the stage where you've completely lost control, you might be able to work on strengthening your mind to resist those "episodes."

It isn’t easy for me to write this.
I’ve been struggling with mental illness. I was hospitalized twice; it wasn't until the second time that they finally
figured out what was actually going on. I ended up staying in the hospital for three months.

I can’t say I’m particularly satisfied with my psychiatrist. He just hands me prescriptions without ever really wanting to listen to me. Since money is tight, I stick with him because he's the most affordable option available.

The worst of the illness hit me hardest between the ages of 18 and 23.
I went through some really dark, unstable times...

I feel okay now, though I still find myself daydreaming quite often and trying to "escape" from reality.

I just feel so misunderstood. That has been the hardest part of all...😢 😢 😢 😢 😢

I was at AMC Theatres, and the whole vibe was just so tense, with that really intriguing musical score ... then all of a sudden, you see this green alien just walking down a city street... he just popped into the frame out of nowhere ... it was terrifying ... I honestly jumped in my seat. brrrrrrr ....

... So, I’ve been listening to Hybrid Theory on repeat lately. For the longest time, it felt so effortless and easygoing—just really smooth vibes. The guys seemed grounded, too, which was refreshing. Everything about it just felt right.

... There was a period where they were actually one of my absolute favorite bands. But now that Under the Iron Sea is out? Honestly, while there are a few catchy melodies scattered throughout, the album as a whole feels pretty mediocre to me.

... What are your thoughts on them? And how do you feel about these two specific albums?

I don't know many neurologists here in the States.

But I wouldn't rush straight to the hospital. You should probably see a neuropsychiatrist first to get a full re-evaluation of what you're experiencing.
