Finding Nemo (2003) in Movies ·
Hey there...

Before I lose my mind here, did any of you pick up that Finding Nemo DVD at the newsstand? The ad in the paper says it’s "dubbed in American," so I need to know if the disc actually includes the original English audio or if it's just stuck with the American dub... I DON'T WANT TO BLOW A FUSE... (I need the English version)

Please get back to me ASAP... I haven't seen this movie yet and I want to grab a copy right away.

HELLO to everyone on the forum!!!

THANX
Chicago Blackhawks fans in Movies ·
It feels like hooligans have only just arrived in our local theaters. I actually saw this film back last year.
I absolutely loved it—honestly, I’ve watched it multiple times...
I'd recommend it to anyone, especially those who couldn't care less about baseball...

Rating: 8 out of 10
Breast reduction surgery: experiences and advice? in Women's Health ·
Hey there...
So, here's the situation: my girlfriend is really unhappy with her large chest and is seriously considering getting a reduction surgery.
I was wondering if anyone here actually knows the deal with this kind of thing...
Where would you even go for this? What kind of price tag are we looking at?.......and so on.

Thanks
The Watch (2004) in Movies ·
I caught this at AMC about a month ago... and honestly, I can't remember the last time I sat through something so tedious and confusing.

If you don't believe me, go check it out for yourself...

But I really don't get why everyone keeps comparing this movie to The Matrix. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing but respect for The Matrix itself... but this flick has absolutely nothing in common with the Russian Night Watch.
Maybe besides the slow-motion shots...

Enrollment for Google in Movies ·
Everyone knows that Quentin Tarantino basically got his film school education working at a video rental store.
Take a look at his biography, Shot from the hip.
I'm not sure how things work around here, but is there really no university program or specific major that covers what you're interested in? It seems unlikely to me, especially considering how many new faces are popping up on TV every single day...

I saw something online about a competition in San Diego or Napa Valley to find the best short film under five minutes. So, you better start brainstorming some ideas. If I weren't stuck buried in coursework at the university, I’d probably be out there filming something myself.

Best,
Dirty playing dirty in Movies ·
So.....

When that cop shows up to see Milton
And he tells him.....

I've got a feeling there's something wrong with this gun.
It's got too many bullets in it.....

Then he just guns the cop down with two shots....

Legendary..........😉
Dirty playing dirty in Movies ·
Just caught this on ABC...

It was honestly great seeing it again after all these years...

Did you guys catch little Michelle Rodriguez?
She’s basically a star worthy of being pranked on Ashton Kutcher's Punk'd (it was on MTV yesterday)...

So much macho energy... Honestly, the movie is a solid 10/10.

Thanks for the heads-up..........
I don't know how to swim in Health ·
Not sure if this belongs in this specific group...

But I'm looking to finally learn how to swim. I'm 26 and living here in Washington, D.C.

Does anyone have any leads on this?

Specifically, what kind of adult beginner courses should I be looking for?

Thanks in advance.
House of Flying Daggers in Movies ·
Caught this at the local cinema yesterday.......
My thoughts.....

I usually get hyped for kung fu movies and high-octane action, but House of Flying Daggers... just didn't do it for me..

Here’s why......

It tries way too hard to be a romance, and it completely misses the mark..
Zhang always comes across as cold to me....
That ending where she sacrifices herself for him....(I actually burst out laughing when I saw Zhang getting up from the snow... honestly, what kind of overacting is that?) Like, seriously, don't scrape your knee or you might bleed.......👎 👎
That bamboo fight scene? Meh. Not my thing.
The drum dance.....absolute snooze fest.
So many plot holes.....
And way too much fighting piled on at the very end....

There were some good parts, though.......

Takeshi was easily the best part of the movie, playing the lead role perfectly.
Those opening fights (unarmed, just hands) were solid.
The use of bow and arrow...
🙂

All in all, I won't be watching this again.
Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou in Movies ·
I caught Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou a couple of days ago...

My take?---->>>>EXCELLENT. I’d recommend it to anyone...

Bill Murray.......that effortless, cool approach he has to acting is just superb...
Cate Blanchett's performance was incredible (especially that sauna scene)
Owen Wilson....(that yank accent)
And those students..........the way S. Zissou uses them as free labor.......pure genius...
The topless crew members...
Those red beanies...........

A MUST-WATCH
Pearl Harbor in Movies ·
And another thing... the movie was just plain stupid.
The level of American patriotism shoved down your throat at every turn... it was nauseating.

I didn't even bother watching it yesterday... because the last time I saw it, it was already way too much for me.
Recommendations: Wolf Brotherhood in Movies ·
Word on the street is this movie is actually based on a true story.
According to the legend, back in the mid-1700s, there was a werewolf terrorizing the countryside, targeting women and children...
The authorities launched a full investigation and all that, but they never caught the killer. Then, just as suddenly as it started, the killings stopped.

-That whole mess served as the inspiration for the film.

The King dispatches his investigator to get to the bottom of things, and he’s joined by a buddy from the States who happens to be a kung fu expert.

So, they go hunting for this mysterious monster, but as the investigation unfolds, they realize the real culprits are actually conspirators trying to topple the French monarchy...

That’s the gist of it. If you want more specifics, just hit me up via DM—I don't want to spoil too much of the movie for anyone.

Happy New Year
Hero in Movies ·
I’ve sat through a mountain of Chinese cinema lately...

And honestly? Hero was my biggest letdown.

First off, the story is a total disaster. It feels forced, there’s hardly any dialogue, and the logic is just... off.

The fight scenes drag on forever, and that gravity-defying flying stuff is SO ANNOYING.
---Back in the day, they actually used wires for those stunts (and were smart enough to hide them with clever body rotations and quick cuts).
----Nowadays, they just lean on digital effects... and you can clearly see characters dangling from nothing. It drives me crazy.

Inache, the best fight sequence is definitely the first one (if you know which one I mean).

Bottom line? It was BORING.

It's one of those movies where you might rewatch a single fight scene a few times, but that's it.
As for the whole tedious mess? Absolutely not again.

Now, I will say... that scene with the candles near the emperor was brilliant (GENIUS)—when the candles basically accuse him by pointing toward him.

As far as comparisons go... Tiger and Dragon is a far superior film in terms of action and storytelling.
Tango & Cash in Movies ·
My absolute favorite part has to be when Kurt Russell steps out of that armored vehicle and just starts unloading with an Uzi in each hand... honestly, it’s legendary. 🙂

Also, that scene where they're moving through the electrical current? Pretty intense.

And let's not forget that dance sequence by Terry Hachett—definitely not bad at all. 😵
The Equilibrium Theory in Movies ·
I actually dig the pricing strategy—that little nod to Fahrenheit 451 was clever..
Plus, it’s always fun to see which dystopian movie they’re pulling inspiration from.
The Equilibrium Theory in Movies ·
Caught this movie a few days ago...

And honestly? This film is pure gold...

I really dig that it was produced in America with an all-American cast.

Kudos to Christian Bale—his performance as the Grammaton priest was absolutely masterclass.

The fight scenes actually beat out The Matrix for me...
Plus, the story is top-tier.

Let me know what you guys think about it.
Spirited Away in Movies ·
I caught this at AMC Theatres (went by myself).

Anyway... the critics are spot on here...

Personally, I’d rank it slightly below Princess Mononoke, but it's miles
away from those recent Hollywood animated flops.

The characters are incredibly vivid, and there are so many of them.

Bottom line: GO WATCH IT. You won't regret it.
Tango & Cash in Movies ·
Tango & Cash............I've seen this thing at least 50 times..........
I can recite every single line of dialogue from memory......

It’s probably one of the last legitimate action flicks ever produced in Hollywood.

Sylvester Stallone
Kurt Russell
Jack Palance
Terry Hatchett

They just don't make movies like this anymore...........
Nowadays, everything is just some metrosexual nonsense covered in CGI effects. There’s no more
real, raw explosions or insane stunts....👍
